Sony's 2025 music talent showdown in KL via a karaoke contest will see the winner walk away with a one-year contract
The Ascott Star Rewards (ASR) Festival 2025 has officially kicked off at Central Town, MyTOWN KL Shopping Centre, transforming the heart of Kuala Lumpur into a vibrant hub of entertainment, travel perks, and lifestyle experiences. AFTER more than three decades in the Malaysian music industry, legendary rock band Exists returns with a soul-stirring remake of one of their most emotionally charged songs, 'Alasanmu.' Released under Sony Music Malaysia, this new version is more than just a musical refresh — it is a heartfelt retelling of a story rooted in truth, pain, and perseverance. A Band That Grew, Fell and Rose Again Formed in 1991, Exists comprises original members Along (lead guitar), Shah (second guitar), Musrad (bass), Ujang (drums), Ajai (keyboardist), Mamat (vocalist), and current frontman Ezad Lazim, who joined the band during their mature years. Famous also for her spiritual songs, acclaimed singer Amira Othman makes a powerful return with 'Dalam Sujudku', a soul-stirring new single that captures the anguish and resilience of a woman in emotional turmoil. Composed and produced by the prolific Farouk Roman with lyrics by Senna, 'Dalam Sujudku' tells the story of a woman trapped in a toxic relationship, clinging to hope and seeking solace in prayers despite her growing despair. Malaysian singer-songwriter Khai Bahar unveils his new stirring single and its all set to hit the South-East Asian market
Not every chapter in life is filled with joy. Sometimes, we stumble in silence, unsure of how to rise again.
