Hyundai's 'beast of a machine' lawn mower sees £45 price cut
The lawn mower has five cutting heights and a 40-litre grass collector box A highly-rated Hyundai lawnmower has been reduced on Amazon, taking the price to £94.99, down from £139.99. Reviewers describe Hyundai's Electric Lawn Mower as a 'beast of a machine', with many praising its effectiveness and ease of use. It is built with a 38cm cutting width with grass combs for a close, tidy finish along walls and pathways. The gardening device also has a 40-litre quick-release grass box, a 10-metre power cable, a rear roller for a professional striped look, and a mulching function to naturally fertilize a lawn. Hyundai's Electric Lawn Mower also has five height settings (from 20mm to 70mm) and a single lever for lawn customisation. It also has a foldable handle and a collapsible grass bag for minimal storage space. The Electric Lawn Mower has more than 3,500 reviews and ratings on Amazon. One person said: "What a beast of a machine this is!" The same customer also noted a drawback, adding: "Only slight problem you still need to rake up as grass collector not 100% efficient." Another user described it as a 'great mower', adding: "Used on long wet grass - no problem. Beasted through it. Lightweight, easily adjustable, cuts effortlessly and collects grass properly - unlike my previous nightmare mower. 12-meter cable, nice and long." The same buyer continues: "Doesn't leave a mess behind. Compact for storage, foldable. The grass compartment/box is small-ish; it would be nice if it were a bit bigger. Assembly is simple, but not easy to understand (the) booklet. Just YouTube the model, and you'll find a video tutorial." Prospective buyers concerned about the size of the grass box can choose from a variety of other options. For instance, Spear & Jackson's Corded Rotary Lawnmower (now £125, was £155) has a 50-litre grass collection box, seven cutting heights, and a 12-metre cable. Homeowners with exceptionally large gardens might want to opt for this 60-litre collection capacity lawnmower from Mountfield, £299. However, this option is powered by petrol, which might be off-putting for some consumers. Another lawn mower alternative is this Bosch Professional Cordless Lawn Mower, which is not powered by petrol. It has a 60-litre fabric grass collector and is designed for maintaining larger lawns. Returning to the Amazon reviews on Hyundai's model, another person said: "This is the best value for money mower I've ever bought. It's light and easy to use. "The collection bin is a decent size and an option for different length cuts. It is a cable-attach situation."

Cordless lawn mower that 'cuts tall grass very easily' now £58 off on Amazon
"Very pleased with this purchase, it is so much lighter than my old petrol mower!' It's officially summer, and with it comes the endless garden tasks need doing much more often during the warmer months. Cutting the grass is a tedious task, but it's one that needs doing, and those looking for a new gadget to get the job done fast are in luck, as a top-rated cordless lawn mower is currently on offer on Amazon. The Worx WG733E 20V 33cm Cordless Brushless Lawn Mower usually retails for £169.99, but Amazon shoppers can get it now on a generous 34 per cent discount for £111.39. With a powerful and efficient brushless motor, this mower boasts a longer runtime than competitive models, according to its description. Its extended motor life with Worx's advanced brushless motor technology helps homeowners cut their grass with high efficiency, for gardens up to 250 metres squared. The innovative cut-to-edge design allows closer cuts along fences, flower beds, and garden borders, minimising the need for extra trimming. Gardeners can choose the appropriate length to cut their grass using the six adjustable height options ranging between 25mm and 75mm. Grass cut height can be easily changed using a single-lever adjustment to suit different lawn conditions and seasonal growth. This mower's high-capacity 35L grass bag with up to 90 per cent collection efficiency reduces how often it needs emptied, making mowing sessions smoother and more efficient. Worx WG733E 20V 33cm Cordless Brushless Lawn Mower £169.99 £111.39 Amazon Shop Product Description Another valuable feature of the garden gadget is its 20V 4.0Ah PowerShare battery that's interchangeable with all Worx 20V, 40V, and 80V tools, which is especially helpful to those who already own some of the brand's products. Those browsing alternative cordless lawn mowers may consider Argos' Spear & Jackson 37cm Cordless Rotary Lawnmower, which is described as 'in demand' on the retailer's website. However, this option comes in at a pricier £216.75, reduced from £255. The retailer also offers the McGregor 34cm Cordless Lawnmower for a cheaper £150, although this still comes in at £40 more than the discounted Worx mower on Amazon, which has been reigning in some very positive reviews. One happy shopper said: "I'm 70 yrs old and very pleased with my new Worx WG927E 40V Cordless Lawnmower & Trimmer. Took me half hour to cut 250m2 with two bars left using 2x 20v 4.0AH so much better than 2x 2.0AH, worth the money. "A bit heavier but cuts very tall grass easily. My old Flymo took me one hour and a bit due to moving around extension cable and carrying cable on shoulder and untangling cable before starting. The strimmer is light weight and cuts better. Worth the money. One hour to charge and your ready." Homewares deal of the week It's time to give the home a spring refresh and Dunelm has launched its massive sale. Sometimes it's all about buying necessities for the home, and these Fifi Dining Chairs that have shoppers bagging multiple are now on offer for £31.50, down from £45, saving 30 percent off the RRP. Crafted with a solid wooden frame, these chairs can easily be paired with many different dining tables and decorated with comfy cushion. Designed with a modern curved backrest with a scallop feature, this chair would be a cute edition to any home. Currently available in apricot, blue and natural, there are chairs available for people who want to add a pop of colour to their home, as well as those who want to continue a minimalistic design. This durable seat is said to offer both style and comfort to its users, and is the ideal choice for family meals or entertaining guests. With dimensions of H 80cm x W 44cm x D 52cm, this chair will comfortably fit under a table without taking up too much space. Back to the Fifi Dining Chair, Dunelm shoppers have awarded the product a 4.5 star rating, with the vast majority of shoppers praising the chairs for their colour and how easy they are to assemble. One delighted shopper wrote: "I really love this chair! They are super comfy and they look great! They were very easy to assemble." With another shopper agreeing: "Lovely comfortable chairs! Waiting for them to come back into stock to order two more!" Buy the Fifi Dining Chairs in the Dunelm sale here. Another happy gardener said: "You won't go wrong with this mower, so quiet and cuts really well, the speed of the motor increases when it comes into contact with thick grass, I have one medium and one small sized lawn, after cutting both the battery's are still half full, recharge back to full in 45 minutes. Very pleased with the product." But another shopper wasn't so happy, saying: "Absolutely a waste of money. Used once after charging batteries. The second use the mower kept stopping saying the batteries were dead but when I checked the status indicator on the battery it showed fully charged. "The mower is underpowered and bogs down on anything lower than the highest setting. Not a good buy." Yet another said: "Very pleased with this purchase, it is so much lighter than my old petrol mower! I loved how quick it was to get my lawn looking better than ever, having the 2 batteries was a big bonus." The discounted Worx mower can be purchased here.

Amazon shoppers who have already tried the AMZ Mouse Repellent Spray have given it an impressive 4.3 out of five-star rating. One buyer said: " Brilliant product – worked after the very first spray! Another added: "Lovely fragrance. Also its easy to spray and easy to see after spraying, which is useful. I haven't seen or heard any mice since using your product and didn't have to kill them, which is a bonus. I think it's an excellent product that really works." " Best in class," said a third buyer, adding "Very effective in getting rid of mice from our lovely home. Would highly recommend specially as application is so effective, instantly. Will be recommending to friends and family." Not everyone was quite so impressed. One buyer raised concerns about the spray, saying: "Smells pleasant, yet to see results, but would have been helpful in the description if they actually wrote that the liquid is brown so be careful when spraying on white surfaces or areas that are light in colour. The colour is almost like liquid coffee." Overall, buyers are impressed with the £19.99 AMZ Mice and Rat Repellent Spray. Another five-star review summed it up, saying: "Very happy with purchase, since finding this product I don't need to use anything else, also happy that it's pet friendly so I don't need to keep my fur babies inside in the warmer day."

From the perfect gardening tools to £8 mascara, what you loved most this month
The year always seems to pick up pace in spring, with the big house and garden tidy-up becoming all-consuming. The early spring sunshine has been wonderful (for those of us lucky enough to have seen some), though it does accelerate the pressure to ready your garden for the summer ahead. The Guardian's journalism is independent. We will earn a commission if you buy something through an affiliate link. Learn more. I spent winter trying not to look out of the window, fearing that most of the plants I'd optimistically bought last summer wouldn't make it. So it's a wonderful feeling to have the garden open up again – and many of you seem to agree. We were taken aback by the popularity of our pieces on how to get your garden ready for summer and the best secateurs to help you with the spring tidy. It's also time to dust the cobwebs off your summer wardrobe, and perhaps breathe new life into it with a few fresh items, whether that's a 'sexy spring sweater', some viral barrel-leg trousers or an £8 mascara. (Or, if you prefer to shop secondhand, read our recent guide to buying vintage clothing.) L'Oréal Paradise Big Deal volumising mascara £8 at Amazon Former beauty editor and self-proclaimed mascara obsessive Sabine Wiesel has been on a lifelong hunt for the best mascaras. After retesting 25 of her favourites and five of the latest launches, she pulled together her ultimate edit for the Filter. 'Even those who consider themselves low-maintenance usually own a mascara,' she says. 'It seems no one is immune to how effortlessly eye-framing a few coats can be.' That's certainly true of Filter readers: Sabine's bargain pick has been one of the fastest-selling products we've ever recommended, after she 'fell for this mascara at first swipe'. Spear & Jackson Razorsharp Advantage bypass secateurs £9.95 at Amazon 'Secateurs are the single most valued tool in the gardener's trug, an implement as personally prized as the bricklayer's trowel,' says Matt Collins, head gardener at London's Garden Museum, in our roundup of the best secateurs. They're particularly important in spring, 'the time for cutting back perennials and grasses in advance of new growth'. These Spear & Jackson secateurs are 'the most simply designed and hard-working budget secateurs I've had the pleasure of trying', says Matt – and they've also been the most popular with our bargain-loving readers. Niwaki hori hori knife £32.95 at Sarah Raven Ask any professional gardener about their favourite tool and you'll hear repeatedly about the hori hori knife. Once again, gardening experts chose the hori hori as one of their favourite tools for getting your garden summer-ready: 'It's perfect for digging, cutting, weeding and planting, so you can get loads done even on a quick stroll or lunch break,' said garden designer Lulu Roper-Caldbeck. Boden Enid embroidered jumper £112 at John Lewis 'I have so much love for a sexy jumper,' says Jess Cartner-Morley in her April style essentials. 'Not easy to find, which is why 'sexy jumper' sounds a bit like an oxymoron,' she adds, but perfect for cooler evenings where you want a special top that doesn't give you goose bumps. 'I'd wear this out for dinner with a black cami underneath.' Biona organic coconut milk £11.95 for 6 x 400ml at Amazon 'Buying a good-quality [coconut milk] – as opposed to one bolstered with sweeteners, emulsifiers and stabilisers – often makes the difference between a great dish and a bad one,' said restaurateur Ravinder Bhogal in her coconut milk taste test. So, of course, our readers' favourite was 'the Ferrari of coconut milks' from Biona, with 50% organic coconut and water the only ingredients. Jersey trousers £34.90 at Uniqlo First chosen by Jess Cartner-Morley as a way to look posh on a budget, these viral Uniqlo barrel-leg trousers were the most popular pick in our guide to women's spring wardrobe essentials. We're not surprised, as they're so immensely wearable: both 'casual enough for every day and smart enough for the office'. Sign up to The Filter Get the best shopping advice from the Filter team straight to your inbox. The Guardian's journalism is independent. We will earn a commission if you buy something through an affiliate link. after newsletter promotion Anker Nano £29.99 at Anker 'Quick, convenient and small enough to carry in a trouser pocket,' this teeny 102g power bank impressed our reviewer Pete Wise in his test of the best power banks. 'No other power bank strikes the same balance between impressive charging speed and portability,' he says. 'It's the perfect fallback for the person whose phone never quite manages to stay powered through the day.' Its 5,000mAh capacity should be enough to give most phones a good top-up. Altruist sunscreen SPF50 £27.95 for 1 litre at Amazon 'Without sunscreen, every anti-ageing skincare product is pointless,' says Sali Hughes in her ultimate guide to anti-ageing. This litre bottle from dermatologist-founded Altruist may seem expensive, but it 'represents, millilitre for millilitre, some of the best value high-quality, broad-spectrum sunscreen on the market'. Glaze Clear conditioning gloss £15.99 at Amazon Hayley Spencer asked the experts which beauty treatments are safe (and easy) to DIY at home – and 'glass hair' was deemed achievable (as long as there's no colour in it). 'There's nothing like that salon-fresh feeling of bouncy, shiny locks that have just been dyed,' she says. 'After about a month, though, you'll likely find that your hair looks a tad lacklustre. It's probably because the gloss treatment, which coats the hair cuticles and adds nourishment and shine, has worn off.' Glaze's Clear conditioning gloss can be used on dry hair and takes just 10 minutes to develop, giving your hair that 'glass' shine at home. Rattantree shock-absorbing treadmill £142.49 at Debenhams Obviously no substitute for a walk outside in nature, but under-desk treadmills have become increasingly popular as a way to boost your daily steps while stuck at your desk. This Rattantree model is particularly accessible, at £142.49: 'It's a mega-value, fairly generic option that hails from China,' says fitness fanatic Leon Poultney in our roundup of the best walking pads. 'It's no surprise that it doesn't offer all the bells and whistles of its pricier rivals. The build quality isn't fantastic, but it is lightweight, an absolute doddle to use and covers the basics required by most working walkers.' Rainbow bud vase From £12.50 at Etsy A reader favourite from our roundup of colourful pick-me-ups to elevate your everyday, this bright and cheerful vase is designed to hold a single stem, or at most a small clutch of them. It's an easy way to liven up your home on a budget. This one 'turns the splatterware trend all the way up to 11', according to fashion writer Ellie Violet Bramley.
