Starbucks unveils summer menu with 'next level' Tiramisu range and US drink
Starbucks has just unveiled its new UK summer menu and coffee lovers across the nation are truly in for a treat. That's because the drinks chain is launching a new range of iced beverages inspired by an Italian classic — Tiramisu. Cue the drooling… The range features three new drinks made with a vanilla mascarpone flavour cream cold foam, bringing an 'innovative twist' to the iconic dessert. First up, there's the Tiramisu Cream Iced Latte (prices start from £4.95) which sees vanilla mascarpone flavour sauce mixed with espresso, milk and ice. This is layered with a mocha drizzle then topped with the cold foam and dusted with mocha powder. Then you have the Tiramisu Cream Iced Oat Shaken Espresso (prices start from £5.05) made by shaking together Starbucks Blonde Espresso with vanilla mascarpone flavour sauce and ice. Add a mocha drizzle, a splash of oat drink and top with that all-important cold foam and mocha dusting and voila. Finally there's a Tiramisu Frappuccino (prices start from £5.05), which features all of the ingredients from above, but sees the vanilla mascapone sauce, milk and coffee blended with a coffeee Frappuccino base. And just when you thought things couldn't get any better, Starbucks has also confirmed it's bringing a US favourite over to the UK as well, but in a brand new flavour. Customers will be able to order a Melon Pearl Starbucks Refresha, which features 'juicy' pearls which burst with a melon flavour when bitten. This fruity iced drink is the chain's take on the bubble tea trend and first launched in the US last summer, with raspberry pearls. Starbucks claims the pearls have proved a 'roaring success' over the pond, which is why they're now launching in other countries too. The mango flavour is exclusive to the UK for now. As well as the Melon Pearl Refresha, there's also a Frozen Mango Dragonfruit Starbucks Refresha launching here for the first time, offering a refreshing spin on the popular drink which gets blended with ice in this version. It's not just drinks that are new, the food menu is also getting a shake-up for summer, with two plant-based lunch options being added – a Mexican Style Three Bean Wrap (£4.20) and a Meat-free Sausage Sandwich (£4.95). Sandwich lovers will also be able to order a new Chicken Salad Sandwich (£3.40) which combines sliced chicken breast with a lemon and pepper mayo, lettuce and tomatoes on malted bread, and breakfast lovers can rejoice as the Signature Breakfast Sandwich (£4.85) is back. And for people missing the Chicken, Mozzarella and Pesto Focaccia (£5.40), this is also going to be available once more too. For those who prefer something sweet, the Boston Cream Muffin is returning as well, along with the Raspberry and Coconut Loaf Cake (both £2.90). Yum! The full summer menu will be available in Starbucks stores nationwide (excludes Northern Ireland) from May 1. However, Rewards members will have early access to the Tiramisu Cream Cold Foam range from select stores as of April 24. To become a Rewards member, simply download the app and sign up. You then scan the digital card on the app when you pay, or you can order on it and collect later, as long as you are aged 18 and over. Fans online have been freaking out over the new Tiramisu menu, after the chain teased it on Instagram.
