A.P. CM Chandrababu Naidu rolls out red carpet for investors, promises record-time clearances

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has said that welfare programmes cannot be implemented without the creation of wealth, adding that industrialists are the key wealth creation. Addressing the annual summit of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in New Delhi on Friday, Mr. Naidu highlighted his government's industrial policies, the investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh and the ongoing development efforts. The Andhra Pradesh government has set a target to transform the State into a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047 and the government is keen on making industrialists partners in the realisation of 'Swarna Andhra Vision– 2047', a long-term roadmap to transform the State into a leading hub for economy and innovation. 'We are leveraging the CBN brand to attract investments to Andhra Pradesh. Credibility is not built overnight. I invite you to visit Andhra Pradesh, assess the ground realities, and then invest. We are transparent, committed, and open for scrutiny,' the Chief Minister told the industrialists. Mr. Naidu said that India's first Quantum Computing Centre would be set up in Amaravati by 2026, in collaboration with TCS, IBM, and L&T. He urged the industry giants to harness this opportunity, highlighting that quantum computing, drones, IoT, and sensors are now bringing real-time data closer to businesses, and these domains will dominate the future. 'Our motto is not just Ease of Doing Business, but Speed of Doing Business,' Mr. Naidu said. The Chief Minister said that the A.P. government would roll out a red carpet for investors. 'From the moment an application is filed to land allotment and clearances, it is our responsibility to ensure everything moves swiftly. I promise record-time clearances,' Mr. Naidu said. Demographic dividend Noting that India is currently at a demographic advantage, he stressed the need for the country to properly leverage the situation to reap rich dividends. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, calling it a key strength for the nation. Technologies such as AI, Quantum Computing, and drones are now playing decisive roles in global development. The widespread use of CCTV cameras, sensors, and the Internet of Things (IoT) signifies the extent to which technology has penetrated our lives. In this evolving landscape, what society now needs the most are visionary industrialists, he said. Mr. Naidu received a standing ovation for his address at the summit. The audience, mostly comprising top industrialists, applauded the Chief Minister's clarity on economic growth, technological transformation, and wealth creation. Impressed by his address and interaction, CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee and CII president Sanjiv Puri, along with other dignitaries, felicitated Mr. Naidu, acknowledging his long-standing commitment to industrial development and innovation-led governance.

Vision plans for all Assembly constituencies will be ready by next month, says A.P. CM

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that the State government would ready vision plans for Assembly constituencies by the next month. At a review meeting on the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Mr. Naidu said with the State, district, and mandal-level plans in place under the Swarna Andhra Vision, constituency-specific vision plans are scheduled for completion by the next month. Thematic reports will be ready by June, and sectoral roadmaps by September, according to officials. Core policies like Zero Poverty (P4) and population management will be embedded into the vision framework, he said. Mr. Naidu highlighted the importance of capacity building at all levels of government to improve service delivery and administrative efficiency. 'From a village-level worker to a Secretary, capacity building is essential for everyone,' he said, adding that both online and offline training programmes would hone skillsets and efficiency among government employees. 'From agriculture officers to Secretaries, from constables to the DGP – everyone must undergo capacity building,' he said. 'I will personally focus on continuous learning – I learn new things, understand emerging technologies, and explore how to bring reforms through tech-driven governance. Skill development through training will yield results and improve the quality of governance,' the Chief Minister said. The State government is planning to introduce a dedicated Population Management Policy with the objective of achieving population balance. Several decisions have already been taken to encourage population growth, including the removal of limits on maternity leave for women government employees with up to two children and lifting disqualification restrictions in local body elections for those with more than two children. 'A comprehensive survey will be undertaken to understand the opportunities and challenges related to population trends, which will help shape the final policy,' Mr. Naidu said. Capacity-building workshops The capacity-building workshops being conducted in all districts will conclude by May 9. Locations have been identified in 143 constituencies to set up Constituency Vision Action Plan Units. As part of the Zero Poverty P4 initiative, 1,118 mentors have adopted 15,315 'Golden Families' across the State. To institutionalise this effort, the government is establishing the Swarna Andhra P4 Foundation, with the Chief Minister as the Chairman. A 25-member general body, an executive committee, and empowered teams will drive its mission. CM lauds Indian Army Mr. Naidu praised the swift response to the Pahalgam attack and commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decisive leadership. 'The Indian response has gained global support, which is a testament to the strength of Nr. Modi's foreign policy,' he said.
