Iran Proposes International Centre for Digital Education
Iran has proposed the establishment of an international centre for digital education, an initiative launched by its Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Abolfazl Vahedi, at the World Conference on Digital Education 2025. The proposal was announced during a specialised session at the conference, which was dedicated to the development and evaluation of the future digital education system. The Iranian official presented the meeting participants with a detailed overview of Iran's higher education system, including statistics on universities, the student population, and digital infrastructure, Mehr News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS, reported. Vahedi also shared Iran's experience in introducing digital and electronic technologies into the educational process. He pointed out both the achievements and existing challenges of educational development, particularly in the face of the rapid growth of artificial intelligence. He concluded his speech by proposing two specific directions for international cooperation: the establishment of a joint digital learning centre and the development of a unified quality assessment system for digital education.

UAE Achieves Top Global Position in Telecom Infrastructure
Nada Mustafa The United Arab Emirates has been ranked number one in the world in a number of key digital development indicators, including telecoms infrastructure, digital government and digital content, according to TV BRICS. The data is presented in the second edition of the 'State of Digital Transformation Report', published by the UAE's UAE's Higher Committee for Government Digital Transformation during the recent Digital Readiness Retreat. The document covers the government's achievements in 12 strategically important sectors including economy, health, education, energy, logistics, justice, and others. Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future in the UAE Government and Chair of the Committee, states that digital transformation is at the core of the country's development strategy to improve efficiency and quality of life through technology. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS. According to the report, the UAE topped the UN's global rankings for telecoms infrastructure, digital governance and digital knowledge. The country ranked in the top 5 in several other international indices, including public service delivery and digital maturity in governance. Today, 1,419 digital public services are available in the country. More than 57 million users have already taken advantage of them, and 460 digital transformation projects are currently underway at the federal level. In the economy, over 5.2 million tax transactions have been processed, while in healthcare, 2 million electronic prescriptions have been issued and over 400,000 remote consultations have been conducted. ASEAN Adopts 20-Year Strategic Vision for Sustainable Growth under Kuala Lumpur Declaration
Nada Mustafa Leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have formally adopted the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on ASEAN 2045, outlining a comprehensive 20-year roadmap to guide the region's political, economic, social, and connectivity agenda. This is reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS. Endorsed at the 46th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur, the declaration sets the framework for the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, a forward-looking strategy designed to strengthen regional unity, promote inclusive growth, and enhance ASEAN's position as a major global economic force, according to TV BRICS. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasised that the vision rests on the principles of sustainability, inclusivity, and people-centred development. He noted the importance of closing development gaps, raising living standards, and investing in human potential. The ASEAN Community Vision 2045 is structured around four strategic pillars: political cooperation, economic integration, socio-cultural advancement, and enhanced regional connectivity. In addition to its development goals, the Vision includes measures to strengthen the use of local currencies for cross-border transactions, improve disaster risk financing, and address the impacts of environmental degradation. S.Africa Cooperates with UAE on Joint Project to Develop National Satellite
Nada Mustafa Mondli Gungubele, Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation of South Africa announced the launch of a joint project with the United Arab Emirates to develop a national satellite for South Africa. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS. Speaking on the sidelines of the SAMENA Leaders' Summit 2025 in Dubai, Gungubele noted that the initiative builds on the UAE's cutting-edge developments in satellite technology. He emphasised that a memorandum of intent was signed during the visit and the parties are ready to move on to the next stages of theprojectt, according to TV BRICS. Zimbabwe, UAE Launch AI training & Solar-Powered Digital Education Initiative
Nada Mustafa Zimbabwe is set to train over 10,000 teachers and lecturers annually in artificial intelligence and digital literacy through a new partnership with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as part of a broader strategy to advance industrialisation and digital transformation in the country, according to "TV BRICS". The initiative was announced by the Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Jenfan Muswere, during a post-Cabinet media briefing in Harare. He confirmed that Zimbabwe will collaborate with digital education institutions from the UAE to expand access to cutting-edge training, particularly in rural communities. As part of the agreement, Zimbabwe will engage with UAE-based digital schools and global skills academies to harness solar energy for powering educational infrastructure. The move aims to strengthen competence-based education reforms, improve digital access, and drive inclusive development, especially in underserved areas.
