iPhone 17 Air looks like my next questionable decision

iPhone 17 Air leaked image | Image Credit - Majin Bu The latest iPhone 17 Air video is making me reconsider everything. It shows a dummy unit next to an iPhone 16 Pro, and I have been watching it on loop. This wasn't supposed to happen. From the moment the news about a new iPhone model cropped up, I knew it was going to be another temporary fixture in the all, that's what happened with the iPhone mini and the iPhone Plus. Apple just couldn't seem to nail the third model. So unsuccessful were Apple's attempts that I concluded that the standard and the Pro models were all that iPhone users needed. My suspicions were further confirmed when rumors said that the iPhone 17 Air , which will replace the Plus model in the lineup, would rely on an external battery pack to make it to the end of the day. I thought Apple was setting itself up for failure once again. On top of that, the iPhone 17 Air was expected to come with just one rear camera. True, I almost always use my primary camera, but I like to have a wide-angle and telephoto camera just in case . In my mind, the iPhone 17 Air didn't make sense until I saw the rumored Sky Blue model, and all logic went out the window. The iPhone 16 Pro looks gaudy next to the chic iPhone 17 Pro. | Image Credit - Majin Bu The iPhone 17 Air looks so chic and undeniably beautiful in this finish that I am willing to look past its shortcomings. Next to what looks like the Desert Titanium iPhone 16 Pro , the iPhone 17 Air looks minimalistic and modern with its lone 48MP camera and horizontal camera bar. It's also, of course, a lot thinner, and as someone who still hasn't forgiven herself for buying the bulky iPhone 14 Pro, I am beginning to see why all the trade-offs might be worth it. Batteries are a smartphone's heaviest component, and there's no way Apple was going to keep the thickness from exceeding the rumored 5.5mm by increasing the battery beyond the 2,900mAh mark. Apparently, more than a third of iPhone 17 Air buyers will either have to juice up the device twice a day or rely on the aforementioned battery accessory to make it to the end of the day. While that would be an inconvenience, especially for those who spend the better part of their day outside of their house, it's important to remember that there would be no iPhone 17 Air without a small battery. As they say, you can't have your cake and eat it too. So, even though the iPhone 17 Air doesn't make complete sense, I might still go for it, because the Sky Blue model looks drool-worthy, and sometimes you have to let the vibes decide for you. I might regret the decision down the road, given this is an unproven form factor and the battery capacity usually diminishes over time, but the initial high might be worth that eventual disappointment.

Leaked Pixel Buds 2a details just surfaced, and here's what's coming your way on August 20

Google's big Pixel launch event is now fast approaching, scheduled for August 20, less than a week away. However, that doesn't mean the leaks have stopped - quite the opposite, actually. We recently saw high-quality renders of the Pixel 10 lineup in all the available colors, and now, more details are leaking about the Pixel Buds 2a, which are also expected to be showcased during the event. The budget-friendly Buds 2a (rumor has it they will cost around €150) have taken a page from the Pixel Buds Pro 2 look, and this, according to this new leak, also means smaller wingtips in comparison to the original Pixel Buds from the A-series. The case for them looks just like the one that the Buds Pro 2 sport, and may only be available in white, just like usual. The buds themselves are said to come in at least two colors, gray and Iris. Rumor has it that there may be two other colors, Fog Light and Hazel, but so far, those haven't leaked. And also, we have the Moonstone color variant that also leaked recently. Reportedly, the seal where the case opens may be colored to match the buds as well, but that little design element may be harder to spot at a distance. Of course, as these earbuds are a more budget-friendly version, you can see where Google cut some corners to cut the cost. For one, Google's logo is just printed, instead of embossed in the plastic casing. There are also some differences in the design, for example, the external mics have a new grille, and the proximity sensors have been moved from the Pro variant. The Buds 2a are also said not to come with the adaptive Silent Seal feature or head tracking for spatial audio. They are also said to have lower battery life and not support wireless charging. Despite all of that, the Buds 2a are said to still add ANC and Spatial Audio, which are both features that the original affordable earbuds by Google didn't support. Apparently, these two features may be a tad more basic when compared to the Pro model, of course. The Pixel Buds 2a are expected to come with the new Pixel 10 lineup on August 20. At the event, Google is also expected to unveil the new Pixel Watch 4. I personally think the Pixel Buds 2a sound like a great option for anyone wanting good features without spending too much. It's nice that they still include ANC and Spatial Audio, even if they're a bit simpler than the Pro version. If they're comfortable and have decent battery life, they could be perfect for everyday use. Can't wait to see them officially at the event!

Realme Note 70T's EU Energy Label confirms some of its specs

Realme is readying the release of the Note 70 and Note 70T, which weirdly could share the same model number even though they have different specs. Today, the Note 70T's EU Energy Label has been spotted, and this reveals an A class for energy consumption, and a 65h 25min longevity on one charge. The phone is rated A for drop protection and B for repairability, and its battery can go 1,000 charge cycles before it goes below 80% of its initial capacity, which the label lists as 5,830 mAh rated capacity, which will translate into an advertised typical capacity of 6,000 mAh. The phone is also IP54 certified for dust and splash resistance, and will ship with a case in the box. Realme will provide security patches for the Note 70T for six years from its release. Realme Note 70T EU Energy Label (left) and Quick Guide (right) A 'Quick Guide' for the handset has also surfaced, revealing its screen's waterdrop notch and bottom bezel that's chunkier than the rest. This also confirms its screen size as 6.74", and the aforementioned 6,000 mAh battery capacity, as well as the box contents, which will consist of the phone, a USB cable, a SIM ejector tool, and the case. Past leaks and rumors have claimed the Note 70T is powered by the Unisoc T7250 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The handset has a 50 MP camera on the back and a 16 MP selfie snapper.
