Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe's New Comedy Series From the 30 ROCK Crew Ordered by NBC — GeekTyrant

NBC is officially all in on The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins , a new comedy series starring Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe. It seems like an unexpected pairing, but it sounds like it'll be a great show. The network has handed the project a full series order after announcing a pilot back in March. According to NBC's logline, the show follows 'a disgraced former football player (Morgan) on a mission to rehabilitate his image.' Radcliffe's role hasn't been detailed yet, but with his track record of offbeat and inspired choices ( Miracle Workers, Swiss Army Man, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story ), we're betting he'll bring something fun to the mix. Also joining the cast are Erika Alexander ( Living Single ), Bobby Moynihan ( SNL ), Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall. This marks a big 30 Rock reunion. Robert Carlock and Sam Means, the duo behind Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt , are writing and executive producing. Tina Fey is also executive producing, alongside Eric Gurian from her Little Stranger banner, SNL vet Rhys Thomas (who's directing the pilot), and David Miner of 3 Arts. Universal Television is producing. Tracy Morgan, of course, played the iconic Tracy Jordan for all seven seasons of 30 Rock , even earning an Emmy nomination in 2009. As for Radcliffe, this isn't his first time working with this creative team. He previously appeared in Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend interactive special. Are you excited to see Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe team up for this new comedy?

'The Four Seasons' gets the green light for season 2 after its debut success

"The Four Seasons" has been given the green light for season two, but viewers still have a long wait ahead before it premieres on Netflix. Image: Instagram. "The Four Seasons" fans will get another chance to vacation with their besties when the series returns. Netflix recently announced the renewal of the comedy, despite the show initially being a limited series. After making its debut on May 1, the show quickly climbed to the top of Netflix's most-watched list, prompting a swift greenlight for more episodes just two weeks later. The streaming giant teased this exciting news on Instagram, asking fans, "Who's ready for another vacation?" Starring Tina Fey (Kate), Will Forte (Jack), Steve Carell (Nick), Kerri Kenney-Silver (Anne), Colman Domingo (Danny) and Marco Calvani (Claude), the series has captivated audiences with its relatable exploration of friendship and love in middle age. Adapted from Alan Alda's 1981 romantic comedy of the same name, "The Four Seasons" follows six lifelong friends, three couples, who embark on a weekend getaway. However, the holiday takes a dramatic turn when one couple announces they are on the verge of splitting. Co-creator Fey spoke about the theme of the show in an online interview stating: "We've talked about the show being a love letter to long-term relationships, both platonic and romantic. Sometimes when you are struggling with something with just your spouse, you need a group of friends to bring humour to it." This witty and poignant examination of the highs and lows of close-knit friendships strikes a chord with viewers, earning its spot atop the viewing charts. The first season concluded with a gripping cliffhanger, the death of Nick and the revelation of his girlfriend Ginny's pregnancy, however, there remains uncertainty about the direction of the upcoming season. It's yet to be finalised whether the next season will continue the existing storyline or introduce a completely new cast and narrative as an anthology series. Co-creator Tracey Wigfield mentioned that if they were to proceed with the same group, Ginny would play a significant role, forming connections with Anne as their children become siblings. The early renewal excitement does come with one problem though: the A-list cast's demanding schedules could affect the production timeline. Fey is currently busy executive producing "The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins", while Domingo is involved in numerous projects, including a much-anticipated Michael Jackson biopic. As a result, fans may face a longer wait than desired for the next instalment of "The Four Seasons".

Tracy Morgan Comedy Pilot Granted 2025-26 Series Order By NBC

NBC unveiled its fall slate Monday (May 12) and announced that Tracy Morgan's comedy series, The Fall And Rise Of Reggie Dinkins, was greenlit for a 10-episode series order. The series will star Morgan alongside Erika Alexander, Daniel Radcliffe, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way and Jalyn Hall as it follows Reggie Dinkins (Morgan), a disgraced former football player on a mission to rehabilitate his image. Morgan secured the pilot order back in March and was the first pilot greenlight at NBC for the season, according to the network. The decision came after Pearlena Igbokwe became the Chairman, Television Studios, NBC Entertainment & Peacock Scripted back in January. The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins is Igbokwe's first new NBC scripted series pickup — and the network's only new scripted series for the 2025-26 season so far, Deadline reports. The outlet noted, 'There were multiple factors in play. Because of the timing of the executive restructuring late into the 2024-25 development cycle, NBC was late with its pilot orders, with only 'The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins' finished in time for the upfronts.' The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will not interfere with The Neighborhood spinoff series Crutch, which Morgan also stars in and is headed to Paramount+. The spinoff centers around Francois 'Frank' Crutchfield (Morgan)— also known as 'Crutch' to his inner circle— 'a Harlem widower whose empty-nest plans are put on hold after his millennial son and free-spirited daughter move back home.' Cedric The Entertainer, who helms The Neighborhood, said of the new series, 'I'm excited to be expanding our 'The Neighborhood' universe by producing a show with the legendary comedian Tracy Morgan. This new character is the close cousin to my character Calvin Butler, and you will enjoy some of their many similarities. Morgan plays Crutch, a 'say-it-like-it-is' widowed father who is challenged when his two adult children and a couple of grandchildren need to move back home, and let's just say there will be several comedic complications.' Morgan added, ''Crutch' will be navigating the ups and downs of having his kids and grandkids back under one roof, and you know if I am doing this, there will be plenty of laughs along the way. I am so happy to be able to do this with my brother Cedric The Entertainer, Owen Smith and the rest of the amazing crew we have put together. Get ready for your new favorite show!' Neither show has a set premiere date. ‘One of the best creative teams in the business': NBC orders Tracy Morgan, Daniel Radcliffe comedy from '30 Rock' producers

A reunion of 30 Rock alums is officially a go at NBC. The network has given a series order to The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, created by Tina Fey and starring Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe. The comedy, which was first announced in March, follows Reggie Dinkins (Morgan), a disgraced football player trying to rehabilitate his image and make it into the Hall of Fame. Radcliffe plays Arthur Tobin, a filmmaker who moves in with Reggie to make an immersive documentary about the former superstar running back. Carlock and Means co-wrote the pilot. During NBCU's Upfront presentation on Monday, Morgan said The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins has "one of the best creative teams in the business. Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, or as I like to call him Coca-Cola, and me." Radcliffe, who worked with Fey, Carlock, and Means on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, added that he is "very excited to be making my broadcast debut." The duo then introduced the trailer, which has not been publicly released. The cast also includes Erika Alexander, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way, and Jalyn Hall. The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will air sometime next season, but a premiere date has not been set. It could air as early as the fall on Mondays at 8:30 p.m., following St. Denis Medical, or Fridays at 8:30 p.m., following Happy's Place. The show and two pilots that have not been filmed yet — Stumble, from Jeff and Liz Astrof, and an untitled series from Sierra Teller Ornelas — are all contenders for those two slots. NBC will make a decision later on. Should The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins air in the fall, that'll make it eligible for the winter awards, where it could build momentum toward the 2026 Emmys. But if it's a midseason premiere, it'll start its awards campaign with the Emmys. 30 Rock won 16 Emmys over the course of its seven-season run, including three straight Best Comedy Series prizes. Fey, a nine-time Emmy winner who is in contention this year for The Four Seasons, won for her turn as Liz Lemon in 2008, and Morgan received a Best Comedy Supporting Actor bid for his performance as Tracy Jordan in 2009.
