Tracy Morgan Comedy Pilot Granted 2025-26 Series Order By NBC
The series will star Morgan alongside Erika Alexander, Daniel Radcliffe, Bobby Moynihan, Precious Way and Jalyn Hall as it follows Reggie Dinkins (Morgan), a disgraced former football player on a mission to rehabilitate his image.
Morgan secured the pilot order back in March and was the first pilot greenlight at NBC for the season, according to the network. The decision came after Pearlena Igbokwe became the Chairman, Television Studios, NBC Entertainment & Peacock Scripted back in January. The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins is Igbokwe's first new NBC scripted series pickup — and the network's only new scripted series for the 2025-26 season so far, Deadline reports.
The outlet noted, 'There were multiple factors in play. Because of the timing of the executive restructuring late into the 2024-25 development cycle, NBC was late with its pilot orders, with only 'The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins' finished in time for the upfronts.'
The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins will not interfere with The Neighborhood spinoff series Crutch, which Morgan also stars in and is headed to Paramount+. The spinoff centers around Francois 'Frank' Crutchfield (Morgan)— also known as 'Crutch' to his inner circle— 'a Harlem widower whose empty-nest plans are put on hold after his millennial son and free-spirited daughter move back home.'
Cedric The Entertainer, who helms The Neighborhood, said of the new series, 'I'm excited to be expanding our 'The Neighborhood' universe by producing a show with the legendary comedian Tracy Morgan. This new character is the close cousin to my character Calvin Butler, and you will enjoy some of their many similarities. Morgan plays Crutch, a 'say-it-like-it-is' widowed father who is challenged when his two adult children and a couple of grandchildren need to move back home, and let's just say there will be several comedic complications.'
Morgan added, ''Crutch' will be navigating the ups and downs of having his kids and grandkids back under one roof, and you know if I am doing this, there will be plenty of laughs along the way. I am so happy to be able to do this with my brother Cedric The Entertainer, Owen Smith and the rest of the amazing crew we have put together. Get ready for your new favorite show!'
Neither show has a set premiere date.

'The Traitors' Spinoff Featuring Regular Civilians Is Heading to NBC

A spinoff of the popular competition series was announced by Vulture on Thursday, Aug. 14, which will feature a cast made up entirely of regular civilians, who have not appeared on reality shows in the past. However, the series will be feature a familiar face — host Alan Cumming — and be filmed at the show's iconic Scottish castle. Production on the new series is set to begin next year while the original show's fourth season will also premiere in 2026, according to the outlet. PEOPLE has reached out to reps at Peacock for comment. The Traitors has featured non-celebrities in the past. While this is the first time a U.S. iteration of The Traitors — which airs on Peacock — will not feature any celebrities at all, the season 1 cast did include 10 normies who went up against 10 reality stars. However, this did not carry into the following two seasons, which had an all-celebrity cast. The upcoming offshoot more closely resembles other countries' versions of The Traitors. The U.K. version has consistently stuck to a cast of civilians, while Australia did the same for its initial season before integrating celebrities in for the next one. New Zealand, on the other hand, featured a combination in season 1, but switched to only civilians for season 2. The Emmy-winning competition series follows a group of famous faces as they play the ultimate murder mystery challenge. In the beginning, each player is secretly assigned as either a Faithful or a Traitor before going head-to-head in a game of deception, strategy and survival. Set in an ancient castle in Scotland, the contestants must complete high-stakes missions that can add money to the prize pot, all while the Traitors work to keep their true identities under wraps. If the Faithfuls successfully eliminate all of the Traitors by the end, they split the winnings, but if even one Traitor remains, that Traitor gets to keep the entire jackpot for themselves. The Traitors debuted in the U.S. in January 2023 and wrapped its most recent installment, season 3, in March 2025. The cast featured a variety of fan-favorite television personalities, including alums of Big Brother, Survivor and The Bachelorette. Viewers witnessed an intense competition, with a jaw-dropping traitor-on-traitor warfare between Rob Mariano, Carolyn Wiger, Bob the Drag Queen and Danielle Reyes, who later recruited Faithful Britney Haynes. In the end, a record-breaking four faithfuls — Dolores Catania, Dylan Efron, Ivar Mountbatten and Gabby Windey — each walked away as winners with a share of $204,300. According to Variety, the hit show was renewed for seasons 4 and 5 in August 2024. Cumming is also set to return, per the outlet. 'The Biggest Loser 'Contestant Who 'Died' During First Challenge Felt Like the Reality Show Was Her 'Only Hope'
Tracey Yukich opens up about her experience on the NBC reality show in Netflix's new docuseries 'Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser' NEED TO KNOW Tracey Yukich is opening up about her experience on season 8 of The Biggest Loser in Netflix's new show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser, available to stream now In the docuseries, Yukich recalls collapsing during the first challenge and having to be transported to the hospital by helicopter "I knew I died that day," she says of her medical emergency on the NBC show When Tracey Yukich decided to attend a The Biggest Loser casting call, she had no idea just how much her life was about to change. The season 8 contestant, who is featured in Netflix's new documentary Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser, remembers feeling like the show could 'fix' her. 'The idea of being on The Biggest Loser, I felt like ... maybe it would fix my marriage, maybe it would fix me,' she says in episode one of the three-part series that premiered on Friday, Aug. 15. 'Maybe it would make me a better mom, a better friend.' 'I felt like my weight and everything about it was something that constantly was bringing me down," she says. "I wanted to change my life and I do feel like at that time that it was, like, my only hope' However, the odds appeared to be stacked against her from the start when during the first challenge, which would determine her spot on the show, she faced a frightening medical emergency. The contestants, who had been held at a hotel 'for days,' were picked up in a bus and driven to a beach where they were told they had to run a mile. Those who crossed the finish line would officially be on the show. 'In my head, I'm like, 'I can run, I've got four kids, I'm running after them all the time,' " she recalls. 'But it was the longest mile, ever.' Danny Cahill, who went on to win the season, remembers noticing how determined she was, noting that she 'didn't pace anything.' And while she started off strong, Yukich says her body started 'to shut down' and her legs felt 'like lead.' Footage shared in the documentary shows her collapsing on the beach and being assisted by someone on staff. 'But I told myself 'I'm gonna do it,' because I wanted to change my life,' she says in the documentary. The other contestants helped her complete the race as she 'physically could not get up,' though as soon as she crossed the finish line, she collapsed onto the beach and became unresponsive. A helicopter was called in to medevac her to the hospital. 'When the helicopter came we were all scared to death' Cahill remembers. 'I just felt like I was floating,' Yukich says while admitting she doesn't 'remember a lot' from the incident. 'And then my grandpa was there and then I saw darkness but then I saw light, so I knew I died that day.' Yukich later found out that she had rhabdomyolysis which she described as 'your body's way of saying 'I'm going to shut down on you.' " The show's doctor, Robert Huizenga, met her at the hospital. More than a decade later, he was moved to tears recalling what she went through. 'It's kind of like my kids I guess, you know, the show could have done a better job,' he says. 'They didn't alert me of the challenge. I mean, I should be at every one of the challenges.' PEOPLE has reached out to NBC for comment on the claims made by Yukich and Huizenga in Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser. Huizenga said that when discussions started to suggest that Yukich would be going home, 'she was really angry.' 'She didn't want to go home,' he says, before telling the interviewer, 'But I'll let you ask her why she so desperately wanted to stay on the show.' In the emotional interview, Yukich opens about what was going on in her marriage, saying that infidelity was 'just a snippet.' Reflecting on her time on the show, Yukich says knowing if she'd do it all over again is 'impossible to answer,' but the experience undoubtedly changed her life. 'I definitely think that if I hadn't have gone on the show and experienced everything that I did experience I would have never had the strength to make some serious changes in my life,' she said. ‘The Traitors' is now accepting applications from non-celebrities
If you've ever watched 'The Traitors' from the comfort of your couch and thought, 'I could do that,' now is your chance. While the past two seasons of the Peacock reality series have featured only celebrity contestants, a new version for civilians is coming to NBC. In fact, the network is now accepting applications at To apply, simply fill out the questionnaire, which asks applicants whether they'd prefer to be a 'faithful' or a 'traitor' in the game. You must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid passport to apply. The open casting call notes that NBC is 'looking for smart, strategic everyday people to compete in the ultimate game of trust and treachery.' Based on the casting call's description of the series, the civilian version of 'The Traitors' will be the same as the star-studded one, down to the Scottish Highlands locale and Alan Cumming's hosting gig. On the reality competition series, a group of 'faithfuls' must work together to sniff out the 'traitors' in their midst, as they compete in challenges, get to know each other around the castle, and share their suspicions at the roundtable.
