Baghdad Summit Preparations Fully Successful, Says Spokesperson for Arab League
Baghdad-INA The spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the Arab League Jamal Rushdi affirmed today that preparations for the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad have been successful in all aspects. Rushdi told The Iraqi News Agency-INA that Iraq has submitted a series of proposals to the Economic and Social Council meeting of the Arab Summit, most notably the establishment of a ministerial council comprising Arab trade ministers. 'The Council discussed Iraq's proposal to create a ministerial council for Arab trade ministers,' Rushdi stated, adding that 'it also considered several other proposals presented by Iraq, including mobilizing Arab capabilities to assist populations suffering from crises, such as those in Sudan and Syria.' Rushdi commended the host country, for its thorough and effective preparations for the Arab Development Summit, highlighting the comprehensive efforts made to ensure its success.

Prime Minister Meets Secretary-General of the Arab League
Baghdad-INA Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met today, Tuesday, with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit. 'The meeting included a review of the final preparations and logistical arrangements for the upcoming Arab Summit, scheduled to take place this Saturday in the capital, Baghdad. Both sides emphasized the importance of ensuring the summit's success in a manner that reflects Iraq's prominent regional and Arab standing and contributes to realizing the aspirations of the Arab peoples,' stated the Media Office of the Prime Minister in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA. The statement added,"The meeting also highlighted the significance of the summit as it convenes at a critical juncture amid serious developments and challenges facing the Arab region and the broader Middle East. Prime Minister Al-Sudani affirmed Iraq's active role in proposing practical solutions and forward-looking initiatives to address current issues". The statement further continued,"The Prime Minister further underscored the importance of strengthening the Arab League's mechanisms and institutions across all areas of Arab cooperation, including joint efforts to confront economic, environmental, and development challenges, as well as reinforcing collective Arab security cooperation".

Arab Summit Media Committee Approves Plan to Cover Ministerial Meetings in Baghdad
Baghdad-INA The Media Committee for the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad announced on Sunday that it continues its intensive preparations to ensure high standards of media coordination and organization, in a manner that reflects Iraq's growing regional role and importance. The committee confirmed the approval of a comprehensive media plan to cover the ministerial meetings scheduled to take place in Baghdad ahead of the summit. Haider Majeed, a member of the Media Committee, told The Iraqi News Agency-INA that the team overseeing the summit's media strategy is working diligently to deliver a level of organization that reflects Iraq's leadership in the Arab world. He noted that all technical and logistical preparations have been completed for the main press center, which will host local, Arab, and international journalists. The facility offers a fully equipped environment, featuring multipurpose halls, high-speed internet access, and designated spaces for press conferences and side interviews. Majeed also said that supporting teams have been formed from the media offices of the Prime Minister's Office, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and the Communications and Media Commission. These teams are operating in coordination around the clock to ensure a smooth experience for media personnel working at the press center. The committee has also begun deploying media teams across various venues in Baghdad to provide full coverage of the ministerial meetings held on the sidelines of the summit, supported by coordinated field reporting operations. 'The Media Committee is committed to offering all necessary support and facilities for journalists,' Majeed said, calling on all accredited media organizations to cooperate closely to present a positive image of Iraq and its efforts in hosting a successful summit.

Parliamentary Culture Committee Unveils Joint Plans to Attract Arab Tourists to Iraq
Baghdad-INA The Parliamentary Committee on Culture, Tourism, and Media announced on Friday that it has developed joint plans to leverage the Arab Summit to attract Arab tourists to Iraq. Committee member MP Sameaa Al-Ghalab told The Iraqi News Agency-INA, "The committee continues to coordinate with the Prime Minister's Office and the High Committee for the Baghdad – Arab Capital of Tourism initiative, with the goal of ensuring the success of the Arab Summit, which will present a civilized image of Iraq to Arab and international delegations." She added that "the committee has developed joint plans and programs in cooperation with executive bodies, particularly the High Committee, the Prime Minister's Advisor for Tourism Affairs, and the Tourism Authority, to make Iraq—and Baghdad in particular—a main destination for tourists." Al-Ghalab pointed out that "development projects are currently underway at a number of archaeological and touristic sites, including upgrades to services that enhance aesthetic appeal and meet visitors' needs." She emphasized that "the committee has spared no effort in closely following all aspects of this file." She further explained that "the goal of these efforts is to deliver a clear message to the peoples of the world: Iraq remains proud and resilient, the cradle of ancient civilizations, and is reclaiming its standing through the Arab Summit and the events of Baghdad as the Arab Capital of Tourism."

Federation of Labor Unions: Arab Summit in Baghdad to Strengthen Iraq's Economic and Developmental Standing
Baghdad-INA The Central National Federation of Iraqi Trade Unions affirmed on Thursday that the convening of the Arab Summit in the capital, Baghdad, will bolster Iraq's position in terms of economic and developmental progress. In a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA, The Federation noted that: 'The convening of the Arab Summit in Baghdad will enhance Iraq's economic and developmental position, and will reflect the true image of the progress achieved across the security, economic, tourism, cultural, and social sectors in our beloved country.' According to the statement, The Technical Advisor of the Federation, Qasim Hadi Karim, stated:'Holding the Arab Summit at this particular time marks a significant turning point that will contribute positively across various sectors, most notably the labor market.' He pointed out that:'The efforts embedded within the government program, along with the support of all national and societal forces, unions, labor federations, and institutions of diverse orientations, are all directed toward ensuring the full success of the 34th Arab Summit in the Republic of Iraq. These efforts underscore the ongoing diligence, urban development, and investment momentum currently witnessed in Iraq.' He added that: 'The outcomes of the summit will further strengthen Iraq's standing within the institutions of the Arab League, the International Labour Organization, and various Arab organizations across multiple sectors.'
