With a script that landed on the prestigious 2023 Black List, The Nowhere Game is set to deliver a chilling, high-stakes experience for fans of survival thrillers and psychological horror. The story follows best friends Carin (Mckenna Grace) and Allie (Kiernan Shipka), who set out on what was supposed to be a fun and carefree road trip. However, their plans take a terrifying detour when they are abducted by a ruthless captor and forced into a twisted game of survival. Set loose in an isolated forest with only limited supplies, Carin and Allie quickly realize they are not alone. They are being hunted—and the entire ordeal is being streamed online for a captivated, sadistic audience. As the two struggle to evade their pursuers, they stumble upon disturbing remnants left behind by past contestants—grim reminders that survival is anything but guaranteed. With danger closing in and escape seemingly impossible, the duo must shift their mindset from prey to predator. If they want to make it out alive, they must turn the game on its head and fight back in a desperate bid to end the deadly cycle once and for all. This film marks a long-awaited reunion for Kiernan Shipka and Mckenna Grace, who previously worked together on Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, where Grace portrayed the younger version of Shipka's titular character. Both actresses have since built impressive careers in the thriller and horror genres, making them a perfect fit for The Nowhere Game. Shipka, best known for Mad Men and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, has recently made a strong mark in the horror world, starring in Totally Killer, a time-travel slasher, and the upcoming horror film Longlegs, directed by Osgood Perkins. The Black List has been a launching pad for many successful films, hinting that The Nowhere Game has a strong, compelling story at its core. The Nowhere Game is shaping up to be an intense, edge-of-your-seat experience, combining elements of survival horror with modern digital-age paranoia.
