Kiernan Shipka and Mckenna Grace to star in survival thriller ‘The Nowhere Game'
Kiernan Shipka (The Last Showgirl) and Mckenna Grace (Scream 7) are set to star in The Nowhere Game, a survival thriller produced by Erik Feig's Picturestart.
The film will be directed by David Charbonier and Justin Douglas Powell (The Djinn), based on a script by Alex Pototsky, which was featured on the 2023 Black List. WME Independent and UTA Independent Film Group will oversee domestic sales, while WME Independent handles international rights at EFM.
The plot follows Carin (Grace) and Allie (Shipka), two friends whose road trip turns nightmarish when they are kidnapped and forced into a deadly survival game broadcast to an online audience. With limited supplies and no way to call for help, the women must navigate a hostile wilderness while evading their sadistic hunter. As they uncover eerie clues from past victims, they realize survival is nearly impossible—unless they turn the tables and become the predators themselves.
Shipka, who recently starred in Twisters and Longlegs, previously worked with Picturestart on Sweethearts, which landed at Max. Grace, soon to appear in Scream 7, was last seen in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
Directors Charbonier and Powell are known for their indie horror hits The Boy Behind the Door and The Djinn. Picturestart recently had a Sundance success with Together, which sold to Neon for $17 million.

The time when Dawson's Creek reboot almost happened, creator Kevin Williamson reveals
A Dawson's Creek revival with the original cast almost came to fruition, according to series creator Kevin Williamson. In an exclusive interview with TV Insider, Williamson shared that, despite the show's 2003 finale providing a sense of closure, there were discussions about revisiting the iconic teen drama during the peak of the reboot craze following the COVID-19 pandemic. The beloved series, which followed the lives of Joey (Katie Holmes), Pacey (Joshua Jackson), Dawson (James Van Der Beek), and their friends in the fictional town of Capeside, had concluded its five-season run with emotional farewells, including the death of Jen (Michelle Williams). However, the idea of a revival sparked interest from both the cast and the creator, with Williamson admitting that they were repeatedly approached during the height of reunion and reboot trends. 'James [Van Der Beek] wanted to do it, but then Josh [Jackson] was busy. Katie [Holmes] was on board, but then James wasn't available. No one could align their schedules,' Williamson explained, noting that while the cast was enthusiastic about the concept, timing proved to be a major hurdle. Ultimately, the team reflected on the show's legacy and concluded that revisiting Dawson's Creek in its original form might not be the best direction. 'We kind of just went, 'We did it and it was good,'' Williamson said. 'We felt like maybe it could live again in another way, but not as a reboot.' While they considered possibilities, such as focusing on the next generation of characters, the revival ultimately did not move forward. Despite the scheduling conflicts, Williamson remains busy with multiple projects, including directing Scream 7 and debuting his new series, The Waterfront. As for the original cast, Holmes, Jackson, and Van Der Beek are all involved in separate projects, with their individual careers keeping them occupied.

Who is Jade Whipkey? Anna Camp romance rumours spark up: full saga
Listen to article Actor Anna Camp has publicly confirmed she is in a relationship with a woman, sharing affectionate posts and comments with stylist Jade Whipkey across social media. The announcement comes six years after her divorce from Pitch Perfect co-star Skylar Astin. Camp, 41, reposted a romantic Instagram story shared by Whipkey featuring a photo of the actress dining at a restaurant with the poetic caption: 'Her smile is a poem/Her eyes are roses/Her laugh is music for dancing.' Camp added a burning heart emoji and tagged Whipkey in her repost. The pair have exchanged flirtatious comments online for months. In March, Camp included a photo of Whipkey in an Instagram slideshow with the caption 'Happiness lately happening,' to which Whipkey replied, 'Big time happy.' Whipkey has regularly commented on Camp's posts using heart and fire emojis and calling her 'angel.' In a resurfaced February TikTok video, Camp referred to Whipkey as 'babe' and said, 'I don't expect anything anymore because I'm dating a woman and it's great,' in response to a question about dating men. Another clip shows Camp pushing back on traditional relationship expectations, calling the idea that happiness comes only from marrying a man and having children 'a conspiracy.' Camp, who previously married actor Michael Mosley in 2010 and later Skylar Astin in 2016, finalised her divorce from Astin in 2019. She will next appear in the action comedy Bride Hard alongside Rebel Wilson, releasing June 20, and is also set to star in Scream 7. She recently appeared in the final season of Netflix's You.
