Best fan content from Panthers' 2025 Fan Fest

The Carolina Panthers faithful had their night. Due to ongoing construction at the team's practice site, fans have not been permitted to attend this summer's training camp. But they got their moment on Friday, at Fan Fest. Head coach Dave Canales thanked and credited the 40,000 or so in attendance for bringing some much-appreciated juice to practice. "That was a lot of fun right there, just great energy," Canales told reporters, via "So much love for the fans that came out. Lots of great energy, the guys needed it; we're deep in the camp, so, all the help we can get to just kind of create those types of practices. "The guys don't understand the impact they can have on people just by spending a little bit of time, by going to see someone, taking a picture with somebody. You know, connecting with our fan base because they mean a lot to this town so I love moments like that we're really happy to do that." So, let's highlight their moments. Here are some of the best fan photos and videos from a memorable evening . . . Follow @ThePanthersWire on Twitter/X for more Panthers content.

Bryce Young balls out in Panthers' most competitive practice of training camp yet

The Carolina Panthers kicked their training camp into high gear this morning. Wednesday's practice in Uptown Charlotte was, by far, the most competitive and contentious of the summer. From hard-fought one-on-one battles to a very lively 11-on-11 session, the Panthers broke out their claws and simply got after it. One of the stars from the outing was starting quarterback Bryce Young, who put forth his best performance of camp thus far. Head coach Dave Canales was asked why he thinks that was the case. "I mean, guys just being where they're supposed to be," he replied. "We're still working through some timing things, some void throws, different little tweaks to routes. But the guys are being where they're supposed to be when they're supposed to be there. That's first and foremost. If you're gonna be a skill player in the pass game, be where you're supposed to be so Bryce can count on that. "And I just love the way that it goes back and forth. Offense, defense, offense, defense. And the guys each making plays and battling and competing every down. So it was the competitive environment that's happening out here it's great, it's special. I love where we're headed." Young threw a number of dimes, including to second-year tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders—who certainly let the defense know about it. That energy was preceded by a bit of enthusiasm from cornerback Jaycee Horn, something Canales touched on later during his post-practice presser. "I thought there was two plays," Canales said in describing today's heated atmosphere. "Jaycee made beautiful interception today then he punted the ball. We can't do that. So then, what happens? JT catches a great pass and spins it in front of the defense. These are penalties. We wanna be a smart football team. We can't have those things. Let a dominant play be dominant. Let it speak for itself. "So, I addressed those things. But I also kinda like it. I like the edge, I like the back and forth. But we gotta be smart." Canales later added that the team will be in full pads for this Saturday's Fan Fest at Bank of America Stadium. Follow @ThePanthersWire on Twitter/X for more Panthers content.

Panthers 2025 training camp tracker: Top takeaways and observations from Day 5

The Carolina Panthers, for the first time this summer, have thrown on the pads. Here are the top takeaways and observations from Monday's (partially heated) outing of training camp . . . Activated Before the start of practice, the Panthers officially activated defensive lineman Bobby Brown III and punter Sam Martin from the active/non-football injury list. Both Brown and Martin were dealing with minor hamstring injuries. They are now cleared to return to the field. T-Mac hits back Rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan was bested by starting cornerback Mike Jackson during one-on-one drills at Saturday's session. But the eighth overall pick got his lick back on the veteran this morning . . . Head coach Dave Canales talked about McMillan's breakaway speed. "He plays fast," Canales told reporters. "That was kinda going back to his film from Arizona. His play speed is what you look at. And yes, we take into consideration what the 40 time looks like. He ran a 4.5. He's fast. But he's a tall guy. And a lot of times, those guys, their stride builds up as they get going—in particular when he's running across the field. He can pretty much separate and run away from anybody, regardless of what the 40 time says." Quarterback Bryce Young then talked about McMillan's spectacular catch. "Yeah, that was a great job of him going and tracking the ball," Young stated. "It was great coverage, and that's the league. It's gonna be a lot of great corners out there, a lot of contested catches. It was a great job by T-Mac understanding leverage, fighting pressure with pressure, fading out at the last moment." McMillan also notched a few more impressive grabs, putting a stamp on what was his best showing of the summer. Still hunting McMillan wasn't the only receiver who shined on Monday. Veteran Hunter Renfrow also turned heads, continuing his standout offseason with another strong day. Renfrow, however, knows his journey to the initial 53-man roster is far from over. The former Pro Bowler praised his fellow wideouts. "We have a bunch of different personalities, bunch of different ages. But amazing," he said. "I think we have a really good group, I think we have a really talented group. It's the deepest I've ever been around. We have seven or eight guys that can comfortably go out there and play and a lot of young guys that are proving they can. "And so, it just pushes you. It pushes you every day. I think the Bible talks about iron sharpening iron—and that's what it is. And hopefully, we can do that every day and then the other people we have out there can see that and be inspired from that and make every day the best we can." Canales, who lauded Renfrow for his work again on Monday, did not rule out using the 29-year-old as a returner moving forward. Best sights and sounds from the first day of Panthers' 2025 OTAs

The Carolina Panthers hit the field this afternoon to begin the next stage of their offseason—team organized activities. Known more commonly as OTAs, these voluntary, non-contact workouts serve as an appetizer of sorts for the heavier tasks ahead. Tuesday marked the first of six sessions of OTAs, with the bookend of this phase coming next week on June 5. Advertisement But how did the team start off? Well, head coach Dave Canales seemed rather upbeat about the effort. "What a great day," Canales said in opening up his post-practice presser. "We've been building and working out and training for this, to get back on the field and just get this thing started. Going against offense versus defense and being able to fly around in there. Of course, with the time of year that it is, the guys gotta be able to work full-speed and be able to take care of each other, and I felt like we did that today. So, really exciting stuff." Oh, and luckily, team reps and beat reporters were on hand to document some of that really exciting stuff. Here are the best sights and sounds from the Panthers' first installment of 2025 OTAs . . . Panthers GM Dan Morgan likens owner David Tepper to 'misunderstood' movie villain

Panthers GM Dan Morgan likens owner David Tepper to 'misunderstood' movie villain The Carolina Panthers, and owner David Tepper, are ready to turn the corner. President of football operations and general manager Dan Morgan was a guest on Wednesday's episode of The Pat McAfee Show. After covering some on-field items, primarily the team's exciting 2025 draft class, host Pat McAfee asked Morgan about his experience working with Tepper. "He is definitely misunderstood," Morgan replied. "He is somebody that you can talk to, hang out with, laugh with, have a good time with. He just wants to win—just like I want to win, just like Coach [Dave] Canales wants to win. He's gonna supply everything that we need to win. "We're getting a new indoor facility outside, stadium renovations are on the way. So things are changing around here, things are looking really positive—and that's a testament to David and Nicole Tepper." Tepper hasn't built up the most pristine résumé during his near-eight-year run as team owner. From his drink-tossing episode in Jacksonville to his hat-snatching incident at a local bar in Charlotte, the bold billionaire is not a stranger to controversy. (Plus, when it comes to the gridiron itself, the Panthers have not even sniffed the playoffs in any of his seven seasons at the helm.) But according to Morgan, Tepper really isn't the "big bad wolf" some may perceive him as. "It's like a villain in a movie that you think they're a certain way—but then you're actually here, you're with 'em every day and they're the total opposite of what you thought," he later added. Along with investments for the team's new practice facility and the upcoming upgrades to Bank of America Stadium, Tepper has also turned his resources towards the community. David and his wife Nicole, as noted by McAfee, made an initial $3 million commitment towards relief efforts following Hurricane Helene—the tropical cyclone that caused devastation throughout the Southeastern United States this past September. He'd then go on to help raise over $24 million for the cause after hosting an all-star country music benefit concert at the stadium in October. As for the football—the Teppers, Morgan, Canales and the Panthers are hoping to snap what's currently a franchise-record playoff drought (seven seasons) in 2025.
