'Most tear-jerking TV show ever' is leaving Amazon Prime in days
If you're looking for a big old cry, Amazon Prime Video has the perfect show – but only for the next few weeks. This Is Us was at turns syrupy sweet and laugh-out-loud funny, making it a perfect feel-good watch that went down a storm from the moment it first aired in 2016. The show at first seems to star Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia as married couple Rebecca and Jack raising triplets in the 80s, but this is intercut with flash forwards to the adult triplets navigating their present day lives. There is Kate (Chrissy Metz) who is dealing with weight struggles, Kevin (Justin Hartley) a buff actor starring in a terrible sitcom and Randall (Sterling K Brown) who is searching for his biological father. It soon emerges that their father, Jack, is dead in the present day, raising the seasons-long mystery of how he died. The US hit has been added to the streaming platform's list of content leaving in the next 30 days, so you'll have to be quick to this one. Particularly given that the drama was a cable show, so had bumper seasons with 20-plus episodes a piece. As the show built up to the big reveal of what exactly happened to Jack, the show reached new levels of heartbreak prompting @reallyreaux to pronounce on X: 'I swear This Is Us is the most tear jerking tv show ever.' When the show finally came to a conclusion in 2022, @AbbyLePage9 chimed: 'Time to say goodbye to the most tear-jerking show ever. #ThisIsUs' The show has even been included in online conversations around the saddest TV shows of all time. @h_eather31 posted on Reddit that they initially avoided the show because of fears it would simply be a 'cry fest' every week. Mandy Moore is 'endlessly grateful' of her mother
Mandy Moore considers motherhood to be the "single greatest gift of [her] life". The 41-year-old actress has taken to social media to celebrate Mother's Day in the US (11.05.25), and to reflect on her own experience of parenthood. The 'This Is Us' star - who has August Harrison, four, Oscar Bennett, two, and Louise Everett, seven months, with her husband Taylor Goldsmith - wrote on Instagram: "Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and mother figures in our lives, including my own mama who juggled 3 kids effortlessly (HOW!??). Being a mom is the single greatest gift of my life and while you're never off the clock worrying or stressing or planning, the quiet, unmistakable joy triumphs over everything else. I'm endlessly grateful to the moms in my life who model what it takes, lend an ear, make the best suggestions, and generally make me feel less alone on the journey. Also, any excuse to listen to this song on repeat… [heart emojis] (sic)" Mandy's post featured a series of throwback photos of herself, her mom Stacy, and her grandma Eileen. Mandy previously admitted that she's found motherhood to be a "challenging and rewarding" experience. The actress - who has been married to Taylor since 2018 - acknowledged that she'd experienced lots of ups and downs as a mom. Speaking to People in 2021, Mandy said: "Being a mom has certainly made me aware of how challenging and rewarding motherhood is." Despite this, Mandy conceded that she's in a better, more privileged position than many other mothers around the world, many of whom don't have the same support systems in place. The TV star explained that she has a "village" of people who are helping her and her husband to raise their children. The singer-turned-actress - who has sold more than ten million albums during the course of her music career - said: "It truly takes a village. I'm very conscious of how fortunate we are to not have had to struggle to meet Gus' basic human needs. "There are so many women, moms and their children, who don't have that ability and have to overcome challenges I can't even imagine."

Chrissy Metz: Good deeds make me feel good about myself
Chrissy Metz's good deeds "supersede what anybody thinks" about her. The 44-year-old star wants to be "liked and loved" - but Chrissy insists it's not her biggest motivation. Speaking to People, Chrissy explained: "As humans, we so want to be liked and loved, myself included. "I think that's why we do a lot of the things that we do. I want you to know that I'm smart. I want to be validated. I want you to like me. 'I have this beautiful car because I want you to think that I have a lot of money because I want you to respect me. Everything we do is sort of funnelled down to that. "But for me, when I do good things, I feel good about myself. If I'm helping my family or my friends, or if I give back in some particular way, whether it's time or money or whatever, those things make me feel confident, make me feel good and those things sort of supersede what anybody thinks or says about me. "Nobody really knows you. What matters is how I feel about myself. And I think confidence is trust in yourself. And so every time you do something that makes you feel good, you sort of just accumulate this trust, which I think is the true depth of self-confidence." Despite this, Chrissy still struggles with anxiety and self-doubts. The 'This Is Us' star shared: "There are certainly times when I'm like, girl, what are you doing? I don't think you got this!" Chrissy recently published a children's book titled 'When I Talk to God, I Talk About Feelings', and the actress hopes to write another one in the future. She told E! News: "I love picture books. I love illustrators. I was going to go to school for art. So, I love the process. So yeah, fingers crossed." Asked what motivated her to write a children's book, Chrissy replied: "I have a big family. I know when I was a kid, I didn't feel seen or heard. And I see it in these little kids faces and like, it's not about the toy, it's not about playing outside - kids want to feel seen and heard because I don't think it's necessarily fostered or cultivated. So we had to talk about feelings because even as adults, we don't know how to."
