Avengers: Doomsday Fans Think Thor Actor Will Return After New Photo
A prominent cast member of the MCU's Thor movies and WandaVision shared a photo with an extremely well-known Marvel prop, leading to speculations that she might be in Avengers: Doomsday. The highly anticipated superhero feature already has well over 25 confirmed main cast members and will likely add more as production continues. Actress Kat Dennings, who plays Darcy Lewis in the MCU, shared a photo of herself with Captain America's shield on social media. 'Don't get excited, I was just sampling the hardware,' the 2 Broke Girls actress wrote in the caption. Notably, Dennings has portrayed Darcy in Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013), WandaVision (2021), and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022). She has also voiced the character in What If…? Although Dennings' post advised fans not to get excited, they have already started speculating about whether her character would appear in Avengers: Doomsday. In the comment section of the post, one asked whether this photo was taken on the Doomsday set. Another wrote, 'Captain Lewis! Darcy best come back soon enough!' Dennings indicated in the caption of her post that she was not part of the Doomsday cast. However, Marvel has historically kept significant details about the cast and plot of its projects secret, sometimes until their release. The Doomsday cast is still incomplete, so Dennings and others could be announced later. Avengers: Doomsday premieres in U.S. theaters on December 18, 2026. Chris Hemsworth, Dennings' co-star from the Thor movies, is reprising his role as the MCU Norse God of Thunder in the feature. Accordingly, there could even be a subplot in Doomsday around Darcy and Thor. The Russo brothers are directing Doomsday. Some of the other cast members are Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier. Avengers: Infinity War's Benicio del Toro on if He'll Return in Doomsday
Benicio del Toro recently shared his thoughts on whether he will join the cast of Avengers: Doomsday as The Collector. The actor debuted in the MCU in the 2013 film, Thor: The Dark World. Although after the 2018 film, Avengers: Infinity War, The Collector hasn't been seen in any Marvel movies. Benicio del Toro recently sat down for an interview with ComicBook to promote The Phoenician Scheme, when he talked about The Collector's potential role in Avengers: Doomsday. The outlet asked Benicio del Toro whether he would join the cast of the upcoming Avengers movie. In response, he expressed uncertainty about The Collector's future in the MCU and stated, 'I don't know. I mean, it's like, you gotta get invited to play in that international tournament, and I'd love to play in it, but fingers crossed that'll happen soon. I haven't been invited yet for a second round.' The Collector, aka Taneleer Tivan, last appeared on the big screen in Avengers: Infinity War when Thanos arrived at Knowhere to obtain the Reality Stone. Here, Tivan was shown in the illusion that Thanos created to deceive the Guardians of the Galaxy. However, whether The Collector survived or was killed by Thanos on Knowhere remained a mystery. In 2018, Benicio del Toro shared that he believed that The Collector was alive after Infinity War. He said, 'I think he's alive…I think that, you know. You're talking to him!' (via CinemaBlend) Additionally, in November 2022, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn also hinted that The Collector might be alive. While talking to Entertainment Tonight about the base the Guardians had in the GOTG Holiday Special, Gunn conveyed, 'They've bought Knowhere from The Collector, that's their home base now.' Coronation Street fans floored as they learn Carl Webster actor has famous wife
Coronation Street viewers were left gobsmacked after finding out who actor Jonathan Howard, who plays Carl Webster on the show, is married to in real life. Jonathan made his first appearance on the popular ITV soap this month as Carl, the long-lost brother of Kevin (Michael Le Vell) and Debbie (Sue Devaney). Carl turned up in Weatherfield with hopes of reconnecting with Kevin, who is currently battling testicular cancer. His debut came about after a minor car park bump at Frescho's with Abi Wester (Sally Carman), unbeknownst to him, his sister-in-law. However, their initial encounter was filled with playful banter and flirtatious glances, hinting at a potential spark between them. Despite Abi's insistence that she's married, Carl invited her for a drink. Later, thinking they wouldn't cross paths again, Carl surprised his family by showing up at the Bistro, leaving Abi stunned when she realised the man from the car park was her husband's younger brother. This unexpected twist has fans speculating about a possible affair brewing between Carl and Abi. Before joining Corrie, Jonathan had roles in several Hollywood blockbusters including World War Z, Downton Abbey, and Thor: The Dark World, as well as Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Another was puzzled, commenting: "Why do I recognise his wife?" A third helped out, saying: "She's been in a few things, The Cleaning Lady on Sky." This sparked recognition for another, who replied: "Oh yes! That's where I've seen her!" Yet another chimed in: "She played Elektra as well." while a another person expressed their astonishment with a mind-blown emoji.

Coronation Street viewers were recently introduced to the newest member of the Webster clan, when younger brother Carl (Jonathan Howard) turned up in Weatherfield to surprise his siblings. He has since caused chaos for Abi Webster (Sally Carman) with his incessant flirting, unbothered by the fact that she is married to his brother, Kevin (Michael Le Vell). Away from the cobbles, actor Jonathan Howard is happily married – to none other than Tv and Film star Elodie Yung. Jonathan himself is no stranger to the big screen, having appeared in Thor: The Dark World, World War Z and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. French-Cambodian actress Elodie got her big break in French TV drama La Vie Devant Nous, before going back to law school. However, at age 29 she moved to London to study acting. Jonathan revealed that he and Elodie moved from LA to another state for her work, and that they enjoy living there together. 'My wife has been working on a TV show for the last few years in another state in America and we've been based there for the last couple of years. We enjoy our life there. 'My wife is French Cambodian and we never thought we'd be living in the States, but we like it out there. That's our life right now.' He recently spoke about moving back to the UK to take on the role of Carl, after living in America with Elodie and their daughter. 'I left the north of England 20 years ago, when I was 20. I went to do Dream Team in London then I went to drama school for three years. 'I left drama school and managed to work in America and moved to America and I've been in the States for the last 10 years with my wife and I have a daughter over there. 'The only hard thing is being away from them, but at the same time it's a real gift to be back in the north of England.' He went on to reveal that Carl wasn't the first Coronation Street role he'd auditioned for, explaining that he'd been in to read for Gary Windass prior to going to drama school. If he'd got the role, his whole life would have been completely different, he revealed. 'I was in the process of auditioning for drama school at the same time as I had a screen test for a new family, and that was the Windass family. Gary Windass was the character I was auditioning for. Obviously I didn't get it, I lost out to a great actor and he's done amazing things with that character. Kat Dennings Forgot She Was in the MCU, Shares Hilarious Story
forgot that she was part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Dennings plays Darcy Lewis in the MCU. The character made her official debut in 2011's Thor and then went on to appear in 2013's Thor: The Dark World, 2021's WandaVision, and 2022's Thor: Love and Thunder. Additionally, alternate universe variants of Darcy have appeared in the animated What If…? series. On Instagram, Dennings shared a hilarious story about how she forgot that she was part of the MCU. 'I went to Avengers Campus at Disneyland and people were waving at me and I forgot why,' she said. 'I genuinely forgot why.' Darcy Lewis is an original character who was created specifically for the MCU. She made her official Marvel Comics appearance in Steve Orlando and Sara Pichelli's Scarlet Witch series that launched in 2023. Orlando said, via Polygon, at the time, 'This is the 616 version of this character, who brings the same type of perceptions to the book, but also fits right into what's going on with Scarlet Witch, with the magic side of the Marvel Universe. Darcy's there to lightly chide the absurdities we love of comic books, especially in a character like Thor. Wanda speaks casually about a life that is absurd and strange, and it's normal for her. But if you look at her family tree and the things she does, it can seem quite esoteric. Darcy essentially gives a voice to the audience in the same way that Kat Dennings' character does.' There's been no word on whether or not Dennings will return for future Marvel Studios projects. Given that she's been in three Thor movies, it would stand to reason she could be part of a potential fifth film, though there's been no official announcement regarding Thor 5 at this time.
