Aerosmith's Joe Perry on reunion rumors after Steven Tyler's career-ending throat injury
We don't want to miss a thing about this potential reunion. Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry got candid on the possibility of Aerosmith reuniting, despite the band retiring from touring in 2024, following Steven Tyler's 2023 vocal cord injury. 'I don't know, man, we're talking about it,' the band's founding member, 74, said while on SiriusXM's 'Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk' on Monday. 'Except for like, anything on the calendar, we're all alive and well. So we'll just have to see.' 8 Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry. Getty Images 'I know there's got to be at least another Aerosmith gig and I'm not looking forward to putting the set list together for that one!' Perry continued. 'But we will just have to see. I've always played like every show is the last one. I hate to sound like it's a downer, but I give it up every night.' He added that he and fellow Aerosmith members, including Tyler, 77, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford, all keep in contact and talk 'probably a couple of times a week.' 8 Joe Perry and Steven Tyler in 1984. Redferns Touching on the band having to cancel the remainder of their Peace Out: The Farewell Tour in 2024, the rocker said, 'The first gig we did for that tour that got canceled, we certainly felt like there was going to be another one, but s–t happens.' Radio host Eddie Trunk then asked Perry if Steve 'seems well enough' since he has been playing shows sporadically. 'I think he would [like to do a show],' Perry stated. 'I think it's just a matter of getting there. We're up there, man. It's a lot. It was interesting with COVID and everybody being home for that length of time, it was like, 'Oh, so this is how other people live.'' 8 Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. 8 Steven Tyler (R) and Joe Perry of Aerosmith perform on stage at Download Festival. 'Sleeping in your own bed every night and hopefully not feeling s—-y from COVID. In the beginning, it was pretty bad,' he went on. 'It really, really opens your eyes. I don't think I've gone a year without something on the calendar and having to be somewhere. So that's the bigger picture.' Perry isn't ready to quit yet, as he's set to embark on The Joe Perry Project tour this year. 8 Steven Tyler performs with band members Joe Perry, Brad Whitford andTom Hamilton on NBC Today Show. Christopher Peterson/Splash News 'I have enough left in me. I still want to do it,' he confessed. 'But right now, for this project, I'm going to be taking it out and giving it up. I'm just glad I got these guys to open up enough time to come along. So we will see what happens.' In April, Aerosmith producer Jack Douglas also opened up about the possibility of a reunion for the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers. 'I hope so,' the producer exclusively told The Post. 'I don't know, I hear rumors. But I'm sure that they would love to, you know?' 8 Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith perform onstage during Day 2 of Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest. 'As you know, Steven's voice is an instrument like no other,' Aerosmith wrote on Instagram at the time. 'He has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury. We've seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side.' 'Sadly, it is clear that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible,' the statement continued. 'We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision — as a band of brothers — to retire from the touring stage.' 8 Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith attends the Hollywood Bowl opening night celebration in 2013. FilmMagic 8 Steven Tyler was spotted in New York City. Rick Davis / Douglas knew that Perry, at least, wouldn't slow down. 'I mean, Joe [Perry] is gonna keep rocking,' he said. 'I mean, these guys want to keep playing.' Touching on Tyler, in particular, Douglas exclaimed, 'There is no Aerosmith without Steven.' 'So if Steven can sing, believe me, he'll want to be out there.'

Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell reveals he's in remission from Hodgkin lymphoma — 12 years after diagnosis
Def Leppard guitarist and background vocalist Vivian Campbell revealed he is in remission from Hodgkin lymphoma after being diagnosed over a decade ago, saying that he owes his donor a beer 'or two or three.' 'I did a PET scan in the middle of April, and I'm 100% clean, completely in remission for the first time in 12 or 13 years,' Campbell said on SiriusXM's 'Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk'. 'I am obviously overjoyed. You couldn't ask for more than that. I had an incredible donor.' The 62-year-old was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2013 and said he went 'through the mill with all sorts of chemo and immunotherapy and combination therapies' until he received a 'really, really successful' bone marrow transplant on New Year's Eve in 2024. 5 Vivian Campbell is in remission after being diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in Live Nation UK Campbell shared that his previous efforts to combat cancer didn't stick and that it 'kept coming back.' 'Ten years ago, I did an oncologist stem cell transplant, which means using my own stem cells,' Campbell explained. 'That didn't work. The cancer kept coming back. And then a couple of years ago, it really got bad… the doctors told me my only chance for a cure was to do a donor transplant.' The Northern Ireland-born musician was initially supposed to receive a transplant after Thanksgiving. However, he lost his initial donor 10 days before the surgery, which he described as a 'kick in the nuts.' Doctors found a 21-year-old donor with '10 out of 10' genetic markers to step in and save Campbell. 5 Vivian Campbell and Phil Collen performed at Marvel Stadium on November 14, 2023 in Melbourne, Australia. WireImage 'He put his name on the donor registry, for no reason other than he's a good person,' Campbell said. 'There are a lot of good people out there, I'm glad to say.' The 'Love Bites' guitarist claimed he won't find out the identity of his donor for a while. 'After two years, they give you the option to contact your donor,' Campbell said. 'So you can reach out to them. I would imagine [that] in this day and age it's via e-mail.' 5 Def Leppard was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. Jamie McCarthy/WireImage Campbell plans to reach out to his savior and 'buy him a beer or two or three.' 'If they want to correspond with you, they can,' Campbell said. 'They don't have to. But obviously, it's a life-saving proposition, so I'd certainly want to express my gratitude.' The rocker recovered in the hospital for nearly a month after the transplant, which caused him to skip the band's first show of 2025. 5 Campbell joined the legendary rock band in 1992. Dimitrios Kambouris 'I just have to keep my head down and my spirits up for the next 100 days of primary recovery,' Campbell wrote in a statement on the band's Instagram page in January. Campbell joined Def Leppard in 1992 after guitarist Steve Clark died from a lethal combination of alcohol and prescription drugs in 1991. Hodgkin lymphoma is a group of blood cancers that start in lymphocytes — white blood cells in your lymphatic system,' according to the Cleveland Clinic. The nonprofit group adds that Hodgkin lymphoma is considered 'one of the most curable cancers.'

Def Leppard drummer admits he's still ‘struggling' two years after madman attacked him outside hotel
It's been two years since Rick Allen, the legendary drummer from Def Leppard, was randomly attacked outside a Florida hotel, and the 61-year-old musician is still struggling with the aftermath. 'I've been going through some challenging times, kind of related to what happened in Florida,' Allen said during an appearance on SiriusXM's 'Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk.' 'And that whole thing is ongoing, when I got beaten up outside the hotel. So I've been trying to deal with that the best that I can, and really I just needed to take a break from some of the side projects that I was busy with, just so I could spend more time at home.' Advertisement 'That's been a real challenge for me,' Allen, who will join Def Leppard's stadium tour this summer, continued. 'Hopefully I can put it all behind me and I can just kind of get back to as normal as I could possibly be given the circumstances. But that was very traumatic for me, and yeah, it's been difficult. But hopefully I can put it behind me soon.' In March 2023, Allen was attacked by a 19-year-old outside a Fort Lauderdale hotel. Allen, who was in town for a gig with the rock band, was smoking a cigarette outside the Four Seasons near the valet when Max Hartley, who had reportedly been hiding behind a pole, ran at the musician and allegedly knocked him over. The fall caused Allen to hit his head on the ground, causing injury, police reported at the time. An unnamed woman came to Allen's defense and was then also allegedly attacked by Hartley, who knocked her to the ground and began repeatedly striking her. She was able to run back into the hotel, but was followed by Hartley, who allegedly grabbed the woman by her hair and dragged her outside, according to the report.
