Right fielder Tyson Bass started the scoring party with a 2-strike, 2-out, 3-run home run to left field, then Jackson Van De Brake drew a bases-loaded walk. Walker McDuffie, UNC's typically-reliable freshman closer, allowed four runs and took the loss Saturday afternoon. Wildcats (43-19) right fielder Brendan Summerhill started his team's rally, doubling into left field and closing North Carolina's lead to 8-7.
