What channel is UNC-Arizona on? Time, TV schedule for Chapel Hill Super Regional Game Here's all the broadcasting information you need to know for Game 3 of the Chapel Hill Super Regional between UNC and Arizona.
Game 2 of the Chapel Hill Super Regional proved to be plenty more exciting than Friday's opener, with both UNC and Arizona combining for 18 runs.
The only issue: despite holding a late lead, North Carolina's usually-stellar pitching faltered. Arizona, acting as the home team for Game 2, turned a 2-run deficit into a 10-8 victory and kept its season alive.
Facing a 6-4 deficit entering the seventh inning, the Diamond Heels pushed across four runs to take an 8-6 lead. Right fielder Tyson Bass started the scoring party with a 2-strike, 2-out, 3-run home run to left field, then Jackson Van De Brake drew a bases-loaded walk.
Walker McDuffie, UNC's typically-reliable freshman closer, allowed four runs and took the loss Saturday afternoon. Wildcats (43-19) right fielder Brendan Summerhill started his team's rally, doubling into left field and closing North Carolina's lead to 8-7. Easton Breyfogle tied the game on a wild pitch, then Maddox Mihalakis mashed a 2-run single and gave Arizona the lead for good.
The Diamond Heels will need more from their hitters on Sunday, particularly the top of their lineup. 1-5 hitters Kane Kepley, Van De Brake, Luke Stevenson, Gavin Gallaher and Hunter Stokely hit a combined 3-for-19, though Van De Brake walked four times. If Alex Madera, Bass, Sam Angelo (2-for-5) and Carter French (4-hit afternoon) can also deliver strong afternoons at the plate, celebration will ensue at Boshamer Stadium.

UNC vs. Arizona prediction, picks, odds
Given how he pitched during the Chapel Hill Regional winner-take-all game against Oklahoma, I'm willing to bet Ryan Lynch starts for the Diamond Heels on Sunday. Lynch, combined with whoever North Carolina head coach Scott Forbes puts on the mound, cannot allow 10 runs to a hot Arizona squad.
Despite UNC scoring eight runs on Saturday, hitters like Stevenson and Stokely need to come alive again. The Wildcats are getting contributions from virtually everyone in their lineup.
North Carolina plays well enough to win Sunday, but hitting woes persist atop the lineup. Arizona escapes Boshamer Stadium and advances to the College World Series.

Bill Belichick won't headline North Carolina's weekly coach's radio show

Bill Belichick coaches in college football, but it appears he won't be a regular in one college football tradition: The coach's weekly radio show. North Carolina announced Thursday that Belichick will be on the first episode of the Tar Heels' weekly radio show on Aug. 27 at Top of the Hill Restaurant & Brewery, but general manager Michael Lombardi will be the show's headliner each week. Previously called 'Mack Brown Live,' it will now be called 'Carolina Football Live.' Assistant coaches and players will join Lombardi weekly on the show, according to UNC's press release, which does not specify when Belichick will return to the show. Lombardi has previous media experience, hosting podcasts and appearing regularly on Pat McAfee's show. While the coach's weekly radio show is still common across college football, the opportunity for fans to call in and ask live questions has started to disappear over the years. Nick Saban was a rare high-profile coach who continued to take live calls until he retired in 2024. Many schools have removed that opportunity, either because of losses or a coach getting upset with a caller. After a spat with 'Tyler from Spartanburg' in 2023, Clemson ended live calls for coach Dabo Swinney. The show now takes questions via text message. North Carolina says fans who cannot make the show in person can submit questions via email. Some college coaches have the weekly radio show written into their contracts. Belichick's deal at UNC only says the coach shall appear on media opportunities 'as reasonably requested by the University' and that the timing and location shall be mutually agreed upon by the parties. It's under the $9 million 'supplemental income' section of his contract. North Carolina opens with TCU on Sept. 1. Spot the pattern. Can Trey McBride still be an elite fantasy TE without scoring TDs?

Yahoo Fantasy analyst Matt Harmon is joined by NFL analyst Nate Tice to look at the fantasy potential for the Cardinals tight end after amassing 1100 receiving yards last year. Hear the full conversation on the 'Yahoo Fantasy Forecast' podcast - and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you listen. View more Video Transcript Dude, McBride, first in target share, like you mentioned, first in successful route or successful target per route, third in yards per route, third and first downs per route. The thing with him, the no touchdown thing is gonna that's pretty consistent with him from college in Colorado State to the pros, like he's not the longest target. He's more of a very efficient mover type with really good hands and then in the red zone, it's more about big targets, you know, and also, he doesn't create it, he's good after the catch, but he's not super explosive like Kittle or Bowers. But yeah, your point about the lack of YAC for, um, Trey McBride is well taken, 4.6 yards after contact. Uh, per yards after catch per reception, that is lower than Brock Bowers, that is low, much lower than George Kittle. So, yeah, it's interesting you bring up the touchdown stuff cause I think most people are quick to dismiss it as, oh, that's just like some Kyler stat, the lack of touchdowns last year, but it actually might be a little bit more of a McBride thing according to you, Nate. Yeah, more than most players. Like some of it is scheme, some of it is quarterback, yada yada yada. And I, I think with McBride though, it's a thing with him. Some guys are just, their body type, their play style is just not conducive to the red zone. It is what it is. It's kind of one of those things. Like I don't think he'll ever be, not that anyone's expecting this, an 8 plus 10 plus touchdown guy. I think his max is going to be 4, like it was in college. Like I think that's just always how his playstyle is, because to score, you either have to be a monster, like big size in the end zone, or a guy that's really good with the ball in their hands and a guy that's shifty and can break a bunch of tackles. And so just his playstyle is just not that, he hurdles guys. You know what I mean? Like when he has the ball in his hands, he's not a guy that we're going to talk about later, like Tucker Kraft. But having said all that, him and like, There's a ton of questions, and we've talked about how many times. Marvin Harrison Junior, Kyler Murray, what's their chemistry like? Are they ever gonna sort it out? Not with Kyler Murray and Trey McBride. Kyler Murray loves Trey McBride. So it's just like, I don't think that anything's gonna go away. Like it's one of these where I feel like he's one of the safer buys, and I know it's a heavy investment, but I feel very confident about him this year, even if he doesn't have the touchdowns. I think he's just gonna have that steady production every week. Yeah, it's like very minor, just little spots here, but the fact that he's closer to Kittle than he is closer to Bowers, I think is a little surprising cause I think it could be a coin flip between Bowers and McBride as that tight end one overall, uh, in your rankings this year, and like, yeah, there's room for actually Marvin Harrison Junior to improve in year two and Trey McBride to still be an incredible player, you know, like and still maintain that high-end target share. Why Chuba Hubbard could see a fantasy dip this season

Yahoo Fantasy's Matt Harmon and Justin Boone look at the questions surrounding the Panthers backfield given the addition of Rico Dowdle. Hear the full conversation on the 'Yahoo Fantasy Forecast' podcast - and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you listen. View more Video Transcript Chuba Hubbard, now Hubbard had a great season last year. I think this is one where we could start to poke some holes in because he wasn't that efficient as a pass catcher last season. But you know who was efficient as a pass catcher last year? Rico Dowdle, who the team went out and added, and there has been some comments from the coaching staff that this could potentially be more of a committee backfield where they use Rico Dowdle this season in that role. Potentially. So I think that's a scenario where maybe Chuba Hubbard gives up a little bit of the passing. That bumps him down. And yet you and I talked recently on the show about the fact that the Panthers have a very nice run out at the start of the season, and I think Chuba Hubbard, for what he maybe will lose in the passing game, he could make up for it with this offense, just generally being better, being in scoring position more often. Um, so for him there's some question marks there about maybe other guys getting more involved, but in general, I think he's probably going to be OK, but more as an RB2 as those occasional spike Darby one weeks. Yeah, I mean, Chuba Hubbard last year, 12th among running backs in target shares, so he was used in the passing game. Um, the Trevor ETN, the 4th round running back that they took, you know, he could, he was like a theory, oh, maybe that he could take some pass catching work, didn't look really ready to play in the preseason, uh, it was not, not, not a lot of highlight moments for him, um, but 68.7% total snaps for Chuba Hubbard last year and he obviously missed time too, so, uh, he didn't play a full, full season. He has a lot of room to give up some snaps and still be very useful for fantasy football. So I, I found myself kind of willing to bet on Chuba Hubbard, just cause I, I do find myself to be a little high on this Panthers offense in general. So, I have Camara and Hubbard, the highest ranked among this group, thirty-eighth and thirty-ninth overall. Close
