Visit request form here: SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 19, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Less than a year since it opened, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort near Zion National Park has completed a major expansion and has added a unique new way of expansive camping, glamping, and RV resort is quickly becoming an in-demand family destination. It is home to more pools, giant water slides, and other kid-approved attractions than anywhere else in Southern Utah. Most of the fun, including the Water Zone, is included with the cost of an overnight stay. With more than 75 franchised locations across the United States and Canada, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts operates in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences. Just in time for summer vacations, Jellystone Park Zion has doubled its RV sites to 200. The Camp-Resort is also introducing unique hybrid tent sites that feature private, air-conditioned mini cabins. Guests pitch their own tents next to Boo Boo Bear Caves that are equipped with hotel-style furniture, Wi-Fi, TVs, small refrigerators and microwaves. 'This style of glamping is the best of both worlds,' said Scott Nielson, franchise owner. 'Kids love tent camping, parents love the affordability, and the entire family will enjoy taking a break from the fun and sun in air-conditioned comfort.' Boo Boo Bear Cave tent site rates start at $55 per night and include access to the Water Zone and all park attractions and activities. With temperatures climbing, the Water Zone is now open on weekends starting Fridays at 3:00. It will be open seven days a week starting Memorial Day weekend. Water lovers can enjoy four giant slides, a splashground, two pools, a lazy river, two giant hot tubs and a lake with a sandy beach and floating obstacle course. Other attractions at Jellystone Park Zion include a jumping pillow, gem mining, sports courts including pickleball, a playground, a dog park, and more. Shark, stingrays, fish arrive as Sea Life Florida at Legoland plans June 6 opening
The first marine animals have arrived at Sea Life Florida at Legoland Florida Resort in Winter Haven as the aquarium prepares for its grand opening June 6. The resort posted images of a reef shark imported from Germany, now residing in its main oceanarium, called a Theme Park Under the Sea. The new residents include clownfish, cownose stingrays and unicorn tangs, Legoland Florida said in a news release. 'This moment marks the shift from construction site to conservation site,' Sarah McMahon, curator at Sea Life Florida, said in the release. 'From building walls to building connections between people and the ocean. Every fish, ray, and shark that arrives is a chance to spark curiosity and inspire care for our planet.' Sea Life Florida will have more than 25 interactive exhibits, including a stingray bay, hands-on rockpools, and 10 underwater-themed galleries. The aquarium will be fully ADA accessible, and Sea Life Florida aspires to earn a designation as a Certified Autism Center, a resort-wide initiative, the release said. Annual passholders will be given exclusive early access on May 23, ahead of the official grand opening. Winchester community members step into the spotlight for a ‘magical' night of plays
WINCHESTER, Ky. (FOX 56) — As Stephen Bradley Lane got ready to hit the stage for his performance at the Leeds Center for the Arts on Thursday night, he was excited, to say the least. 'This play is going to be a wonderful performance. It was wonderful last year; it's even going to be better tonight,' said Lane. He is a member of STRIDE, a residential day program for people with disabilities. For the second year in a row, STRIDE partnered with the Leeds Youth Board for Magical Strides. 'When you're around the people at Stride and you're working on something like this, like, it's just the happiest, most supportive environment ever. And I think that both parties really get a lot out of it,' said Jacob Ernst, supervisor of the Leeds Youth Board. This year's Magical Strides event brought classic children's books to life in their own way, like 'If You Give a Mouse a Cookie' and 'Where the Wild Things Are.' NSU hosting free Brass Extravaganza on Sunday
NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Northwestern State University's brass ensembles will band together for a free 'NSU Brass Extravaganza' featuring a diverse program of works including an arrangement of 'Under the Sea' from Disney's 'The Little Mermaid.' Join NSU's free recital for a night of classical music A press release stated that the concert will include the NSU Trumpet Ensemble directed by Galindo Rodriguez, the NSU Horn Choir directed by Dr. Alexis Sczepanik, the NSU Trombone Choir directed by Dr. J. Mark Thompson and the NSU Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble directed by Dr. Masahito Kuroda. Kuroda said this is the first time all brass ensembles have combined for a concert. According to the release, the Trumpet Ensemble will play 'BLAZON' by Gilbert Vinter and 'Chase 'N' Lizards' by Vern Sielert. The Horn Choir will perform 'Still Waters' by Drew Phillips and 'The Legend of Zelda Suite' by K. Kondo arranged by Wallace. The Trombone Choir will play 'A Portrait' by George Gershwin arranged by D. Armitage. The Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble will perform 'Yesterday' by John Lennon & Paul McCartney, arranged by A. Miyagawa and 'In the Mood' by Glenn Miller, arranged by NSU music education major and member of the Tuba Ensemble Alexander Miller.
