Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath sends Rs 100 crore defamation notice to his brother Srinivas
Vijayawada: The fight between the Kesineni brothers intensified as both Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) and Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) continued to trade barbs over land allotment to Ursa Clusters . Kesineni Srinivas, former Vijayawada MP , recently alleged that Ursa Clusters is a benami entity of his younger brother, Kesineni Sivanath. He sent an open letter to chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, requesting a review of the land allotments made to Ursa Clusters. Chinni earlier denied the allegations and stated that he had nothing to do with Ursa Clusters or its promoters. As Nani continued to attack him, linking one of the promoters of Ursa Clusters with him, he sent a Rs 100 crore legal defamation notice to Nani. Chinni also demanded in the notice that Nani remove all the defamatory posts he made on social media platforms within five days and warned of initiating criminal defamation proceedings if he failed to do so. Chinni further alleged that YSRCP leaders and former chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy are trying to threaten NRI investors who are willing to contribute to the development of the state. He claimed that they did this while in power and are continuing the same behaviour even in opposition. Jagan is a master in floating suitcase companies, he said, and added that he has no moral right to criticise either the NDA govt or the NRIs who have genuinely come forward to invest in AP. Chinni assured the investors that they need not worry about the false propaganda of YSRCP and promised them all support. Responding to the legal notice, Nani said it was an attempt to intimidate, silence, and muzzle criticism. He stated that he would respond with facts, not fear. He stood by every word he wrote and was ready to face defamation not only for Rs 100 crore but even for Rs one lakh crore. "Truth doesn't fear threats. And neither do I," said Nani.

Andhra MP serves Rs 100 crore defamation notice on brother Kesineni Nani
VIJAYAWADA: Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), former MP, has been served a legal notice by his brother and the sitting MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni), demanding Rs 100 crore in damages for alleged defamation. The notice follows an open letter written by Nani to the Chief Minister, accusing Sivanath of orchestrating a fraudulent land deal worth Rs 3,000 crore involving Ursa Clusters Pvt Ltd. The controversy revolves around the allotment of over 50 acres of prime land in Visakhapatnam to Ursa Clusters, a company reportedly set up just weeks before the deal. Critics, including Nani, questioned the company's credibility, alleging it lacks the experience or financial standing to justify such a significant land allotment. Nani claimed that Sivanath, who also serves as the President of Andhra Cricket Association, is the hidden force behind the deal, using his political influence to secure the land under the guise of investment, potentially through benami ownership. Nani, who represented Vijayawada for a decade as a TDP MP, before an unsuccessful run with the YSRCP in the 2024 elections, vowed to continue his battle against the alleged exploitation of public resources. In a statement on X, he described the legal notice as an attempt to intimidate, silence and muzzle criticism, but affirmed his resolve to fight back with facts. He emphasised his commitment to transparency, drawing on his 10-year tenure as an MP, during which he claims to have served with integrity.

Andhra Pradesh IT minister Lokesh dismisses allegations that Ursa Clusters is a newly floated company
Vijayawada: Brushing aside allegations that Ursa Clusters is a newly floated company, IT minister Nara Lokesh said that as per the agreement between the state govt and the company, registration of land would take place only when the company meets all conditions it promised. "The conditions include meeting specific performance targets within specified timelines, creating jobs as promised, and completing the project within two years. Agreements are made based on the net worth of the promoters, technical assessment of the projects, expertise of the team members, and many other factors," he told TOI. Ursa Clusters promoter Satish Abburi said though the company was incorporated recently, they were working on the project for quite a long time. "Team Ursa includes Eric Wamer, Kaushik Pendurthi, and many others who have immense domain expertise. Eric worked with Sun Microsystem, Xerox, and Fujitsu and executed contracts worth over $500 million, while Kaushik raised $60 million in equity and venture capital funding," he clarified. Satish further noted that they did not get the land at 99 paise as is being alleged. "We proposed to pay Rs 1 crore per acre in the IT park and Rs 50 lakh per acre at Kapuluppada. Ursa has secured financial backing to fully execute phase 1 of the project within 12 to 24 months. We are fully transparent in stating that Ursa is newly incorporated and has taken a deliberate approach focused on operational essentials rather than premature administrative formalities," he added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Guayas: AI guru Andrew Ng recommends: Read These 5 Books And Turn Your Life Aroun... Ursa is committed to building AI infrastructure in India and is working with multiple state govts. India Energy Group Plans 'World's Largest' Data Center
India's government is pledging billions in financial support for the country's ambitions around artificial intelligence (AI), and a Mumbai-headquartered energy group has said it plans to build what it calls the "world's largest" data center in Jamnagar. Reliance Industries, led by Mukesh Ambani, a billionaire and the company's chairman, already has a partnership with California-based technology group Nvidia. The companies last year said they would collaborate in an effort to develop AI supercomputers in India. They plan to jointly build AI infrastructure in the country, and Nvidia last year said it would provide its Blackwell AI processors for a reported 3-GW data center that would be built by Reliance. Jensen Huang, Nvidia's CEO who spoke with POWER at meeting last summer in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the time of last year's deal said, "It makes complete sense that India should manufacture its own AI. You should not export data to import intelligence. India should not export flour to import bread." Nvidia also has a partnership with Tata Group, India's largest business conglomerate. Huang at the Las Vegas meeting said his company's growth is tied to "always looking for ways to get the adoption of accelerated computing in more applications. The first thing that we're doing is that we're accelerating every application we can. And when we accelerate an application, not only do we speed it up, we reduce the cost of computing, we reduce the energy consumed by a lot." Ambani, discussing plans for a data center buildout in India, has said his country "can use intelligence to actually bring prosperity to all the people and bring equality to the world. Apart from the U.S. and China, India has the best digital connectivity infrastructure." The race to build data centers is being accompanied by an urgent need to supply electricity for the energy-intensive AI industry. Several forms of energy, both thermal and renewable, are being tapped to supply power. Nuclear power is among the options; TerraPower, a company founded by former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, recently announced a deal for its Natrium nuclear technology to support development of data centers. Most power generation in India comes from coal-fired power plants. The country's Ministry of Coal has said more than 70% of the country's electricity comes from coal-burning facilities. India's government recently said it would invest nearly $1.2 billion to help finance AI projects and companies working in the sector. Several large data center projects already are underway in India. CtrlS, a cloud computing company based in India, is behind a facility in Ahmedabad, in Gujarat state. The government of Telangana state said it is working with Ursa Clusters, the data center division of investment manager Blackstone, and Tillman Global Holdings—a New York-based investment group—to build several data centers. Ursa Clusters was among companies announcing data center plans for India at the recent World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The company said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Telangana government for a 100-MW data center in Hyderabad. Blackstone, which recently agreed to buy a natural gas-fired power plant in Virginia to support data center energy demand, said it would build a 150-MW facility in Hyderabad, and Tillman Global Holdings announced a 300-MW data center, also in Hyderabad, an area that is a focus of India's data center industry. Other companies with facilities in the region include Microsoft and Iron Mountain. AWS has a cloud operation Hyderabad and also has announced plans for more data centers in the city. A 1.2-GW data center under construction in Portugal, being build by Portuguese group Start Campus, is among the world's largest such campuses announced to date. —Darrell Proctor is a senior editor for POWER.
