The Rolling Stones Bring A Classic Album Back — Just Days After It Arrived

The Rolling Stones' Exile on Main St. reenters three U.K. charts, just days after one version of the ... More set debuted. Now, it appears that the band has traded one take of the rock classic for another. This frame, Exile on Main St. returns to No. 86 on the Official Albums Sales chart. It also reappears at No. 77 on the Official Physical Albums list, and at a much more impressive No. 37 on the Official Vinyl Albums tally – the only roster where the title manages to find its way into the top 40. None of these reentries marks a brand new high for the bestseller, but they do add to an already notable chart history for a decades-old effort. Exile on Main St. – this version – has now spent two weeks on the Albums Sales tally, where its peak remains No. 52. The Rolling Stones LP has been a more consistent performer on the Physical Albums chart, where it's now logged 13 total appearances, including a short time at No. 1. Over on the Vinyl Albums list, the title has now appeared just four times. What makes this week's placements a little more complicated — and more interesting — is that it's not even the same edition of Exile on Main St. that lived on these lists just a few days ago, reports the Official Charts Company. Just last week, one version of the classic LP debuted across all three tallies. This time around, it's a different pressing that's earned enough sales to rank, as these are reentries, and not simply shifts in position. That suggests that fans may be picking up multiple editions, either for collecting purposes or simply to own several takes of one of the band's best-known projects – or perhaps that one became unavailable and another was named the focus. The Rolling Stones recently issued a new red vinyl reissue of the album. Only 2,000 copies were made available globally, and the band initially sold them exclusively through its London-based retail store before opening up orders online – which may be responsible for this return to several tallies. Exile on Main St. first appeared on the Physical Albums list 15 years ago, and it opened at No. 1. In 2016, a different edition made its way onto the Vinyl Albums tally and stuck around for three weeks, peaking at No. 4. A separate take on the music landed on the Albums Sales tally in 2018, though that run was brief, as it lasted just one frame – and the title didn't rise above No. 52.

Drake Reaches A New Career Peak, As Even He Has Room To Grow On The Charts

Drake and PartyNextDoor's Some Sexy Songs 4 You debuts at No. 4 on Billboard's Vinyl Albums chart, ... More bringing both stars to new career highs. LAS VEGAS, NV - SEPTEMBER 23: Recording artist Drake performs onstage at the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Festival at T-Mobile Arena on September 23, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by) Drake's superfans have been waiting months to get their hands on a copy of his latest album, Some Sexy Songs 4 You, on vinyl. The rapper dropped the project earlier in 2025 and has been promoting it heavily. His strategy appears to be paying off, as multiple tracks from the full-length continue to occupy lofty positions on various Billboard rankings — and the project as a whole is performing well, too. Some Sexy Songs 4 You, a joint effort with PartyNextDoor, soars across several tallies in the United States this week after being released on vinyl for the first time. The studio LP even manages to bring Drake to a never-before-seen high point, which is notable at this stage in his career, as he's already dominated many of Billboard's charts in the past. Some Sexy Songs 4 You debuts on Billboard's Vinyl Albums chart this week. The set opens at No. 4 on the list of the top-selling titles specifically on that format. Both Drake and PartyNextDoor collect their first top 10s on the Vinyl Albums ranking with the arrival of the collaborative project. While PartyNextDoor has never appeared on the tally before, Drake collects his third career win. He previously reached a peak of No. 11 on the Vinyl Albums chart with Take Care back in 2011. A few years later, Views climbed to No. 20. Drake has been completely absent from this roster in terms of debuts ever since then – a break of almost a decade. Three projects appear ahead of Some Sexy Songs 4 You this week on the Vinyl Albums list. Sleep Token launches Even in Arcadia at No. 1, and the heavy metal act lands just ahead of Sincerely by Kali Uchis. The Weeknd returns to the tally with Hurry Up Tomorrow, which comes in at No. 3 this time around. That set, which has now spent 11 frames on the ranking, has already hit No. 1, but it still narrowly manages to outpace both Drake and PartyNextDoor. The hip-hop stars come out ahead of several other well-known figures, including J. Hope, Forrest Frank, The Head and the Heart, and Arcade Fire, all of whom launch new or recent efforts just behind Some Sexy Songs 4 You.

Selena Scores Another Posthumous Chart Win

30 years after her passing — almost to the day — Selena scores a new hit on a Billboard ranking. The Queen of Cumbia remains one of the most successful Tejano musicians of all time in the U.S., and her legacy continues to expand, thanks to special re-releases and anniversaries that remind the masses of her impact. Selena frequently appears on Billboard's various tallies, sometimes with the same title, and at other times with a variety of songs and collections. This frame, a pair of full-lengths from the late star secure spots on the charts, as one holds steady while another returns. Remarkably, her album Entre A Mi Mundo even lands on a list where she's only appeared a handful of times, and the singer scores another posthumous win. Entre A Mi Mundo debuts on the Vinyl Albums chart this week, Billboard's ranking of the bestselling full-lengths on wax throughout the U.S. Selena's effort enters at No. 14. It earns the seventh-highest start on the list, landing behind popular names like Ghost, D4vd, Rilo Kiley, and even Jeff Goldblum. What makes Selena's performance so special is that the collection is not new, it's just new to this tally. The project was originally released as the superstar's third album back in mid-1992. While she was already immensely popular within certain communities, this effort helped catapult her to even greater fame. It peaked at No. 97 on the Billboard 200 and climbed into the top 10 on several other Billboard rosters, including hitting No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Albums list. Entre A Mi Mundo was recently pressed on vinyl for the first time ever. Fans were offered a choice between a standard red wax record and a picture disc, which was made available exclusively through the Universal Music Latino website. Though the album was a bestseller when it was first released, vinyl was not in demand at the time, as it had faded from mainstream popularity following its heyday in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, and the format's comeback had not yet begun. This latest win marks just Selena's third appearance on the Vinyl Albums chart. As it opens at No. 14, Entre A Mi Mundo becomes her only effort to land on the tally without hitting No. 1, as both Ones and Amor Prohibido previously spent one frame each leading the ranking. Alongside its vinyl debut, Entre A Mi Mundo also returns to two other Billboard rankings, thanks to its vinyl-related sales uptick. It reenters the Top Album Sales list at No. 35, marking a new all-time peak thanks to a little more than 2,500 copies purchased, according to Luminate. Simultaneously, it returns to the Top Latin Albums roster in the same position, No. 35, though that isn't a new best, as the title has previously soared to No. 4.

Bob Marey's Blockbuster Blasts Back Onto Several Charts

Bob Marley's Legend reenters a pair of Billboard charts this week, including the Top Album Sales and ... More Vinyl Albums lists, driven by a 17% sales jump. KINGSTON, JAMAICA - JULY 9: Bob Marley relaxes with friends in front of his house at 56 Hope Road on July 9, 1979 in Kingston, Jamaica. (Photo by Charlie Steiner - Hwy) Legend, the compilation album by Bob Marley and the Wailers, has long reigned as one of the most successful collections of all time. The set, which assembles many of the group's most familiar tunes and standout tracks, turned 40 years old last year. Despite being available for decades and already moving tens of millions of units around the globe, fans still can't get enough — especially in the U.S. Now that many Record Store Day exclusives have cleared out from the Billboard rankings, Legend is mounting yet another comeback. While it never stopped selling, the sales field is less competitive this time around. That opens up space on several charts, allowing Marley and his band to return to multiple tallies where the title has already spent hundreds of weeks. This frame, Legend appears on four Billboard charts in the U.S. alone. It returns to half of them — and it is once again a bona fide bestseller. The compilation breaks back in at No. 16 on the Vinyl Albums chart. At the same time, it reappears just one spot lower, at No. 17, on the Top Album Sales chart. The comeback is driven by 3,500 pure purchases, according to Luminate. Legend likely didn't even need to increase its sales to find its way back to these rosters. Many recent bestsellers vanished after selling out their Record Store Day exclusive runs, opening up space on tallies like the Top Album Sales and Vinyl Albums lists. That said, Marley's collection actually did grow its weekly purchase tally by 17%, moving several hundred more units than just a few days before. While Legend is back inside the top 20 on both purchase-only charts, the rankings are packed with comebacks. On the Top Album Sales roster, Legend is the third-highest rising reentry. Over on the vinyl-only tally, the title earns the ninth-loftiest return, trailing other beloved efforts by Fleetwood Mac, Lady Gaga, and Billie Eilish. Unsurprisingly, Legend continues to dominate the Reggae Albums chart — the only Billboard list dedicated solely to the genre. It would be stranger to see the album not in charge. Over the 277 frames it has spent on the roster, it has only failed to rule on one occasion. Legend already holds the distinction of being the second-longest-charting title in history on the Billboard 200, the most important albums ranking in America. This week, the project jumps 13 spots to No. 61. In terms of total consumption, the compilation moved 14,700 equivalent units this frame, with both sales and streaming playing large roles in that figure. It once peaked at No. 5 decades ago, and Legend has now spent 884 weeks somewhere on the Billboard 200. At some point later in 2025, it is poised to join Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon as only the second album to reach 900 weeks on the ranking.

The Grateful Dead's New Album Didn't Just Sell Well — It Sold Out In One Week

The Grateful Dead's Beacon Theatre, New York, NY, June 14, 1976 debuts on Billboard's Vinyl Albums ... More and Top Album Sales charts after selling out its Record Store Day pressing. UNSPECIFIED - CIRCA 1960: Photo of Grateful Dead Photo by MichaelThe Grateful Dead hasn't been an active band in decades — but you wouldn't know it from the Billboard charts. Every year, the jam outfit lands new wins across multiple tallies, thanks to a bursting archive that just keeps delivering and a fan base that's arguably as passionate now as it was at the peak of the group's touring days. This time around, the band returns with yet another live recording that proves just how potent its catalog remains. The latest release arrived in time for Record Store Day — and, as usual, it's already a bestseller. The newest title from the Dead's ever-growing collection of live albums is Beacon Theatre, New York, NY, June 14, 1976, and it launches on two Billboard charts this week. The effort opens at No. 19 on the Vinyl Albums list and enters at No. 27 on the Top Album Sales tally. Neither appearance is out of the ordinary for the group, which has now reached both rosters dozens of times — but that's still an impressive showing, especially for a set recorded almost 50 years ago. According to Luminate, Beacon Theatre sold exactly 5,500 copies in the U.S. during the tracking frame. That's not just a lofty figure — it's the full run of vinyl pressed for Record Store Day. The limited edition title sold out entirely, something few other acts can ever claim, for a variety of reasons. The Grateful Dead is one of the only acts out there that lets demand outpace supply, but the strategy seems to work perfectly every time it's employed. Beacon Theatre was issued as a five-LP vinyl set, and it's the first time this particular concert has been released in the format. The tapes were carefully restored, speed-corrected, and mastered specifically for vinyl play, a detail that audiophiles will likely appreciate. The show features 23 songs, though given the Grateful Dead's reputation for sprawling jams and musical exploration, some sides of the records include only one or two tracks apiece. With Beacon Theatre entering both the Vinyl Albums and Top Album Sales rankings, the Grateful Dead adds to what's already an almost absurdly long list of appearances. This latest win marks the band's thirty-sixth placement on the Vinyl Albums chart. On the Top Album Sales tally, the group has now charted a staggering 129 titles. Those kinds of totals put the band in rarefied territory.
