Graeme John Baillie, 37, was killed when his blue Suzuki motorbike was involved in a crash with a red Volvo HGV near Glespin, South Lanarkshire. The heartbroken family of a motorcyclist who died in a horror crash with a lorry on the A70 in South Lanarkshire have paid tribute to an "adored father and husband". Graeme John Baillie, 37, was killed when his blue Suzuki motorbike collided with a red Volvo HGV near Glespin at around 2.20pm on Thursday, May 8. ‌ Emergency services rushed to the scene but sadly Mr Baillie was pronounced dead by the roadside. ‌ His family have released the following tribute via Police Scotland: 'Graeme was an adored husband and father, and he leaves behind a broken-hearted family and many friends whose lives he touched on a daily basis. "Many thanks to the road traffic police officers for their support.' Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding his death. Constable Dougie Bryson said: 'Our thoughts are with Mr Baillie's family and friends at this difficult time. We'll continue to liaise with them throughout our investigation. The 37-year-old man was killed in the smash on the A70 near Glespin, between Douglas and Muirkirk. The crash occurred yesterday, around 2.20pm on Thursday, May 8, and involved a black Suzuki GSXR 600 K7 motorcycle and a red Volvo HGV. Emergency services attended, and the rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin are aware. The driver of the HGV was uninjured.
