MVP Clarifies Whether He's Retired From Competing
It has been nearly four months since former WWE United States Champion MVP has competed in a match. It was a six-person tag team match where The Hurt Syndicate wrestled the team of Mark Briscoe and Private Party. Recently, the manager of The Hurt Syndicate provided an update on his in-ring status. While speaking to Chris Van Vliet on his Insight Podcast, MVP shared that he has not officially retired from in-ring action. The former WWE United States Champion recalled the aforementioned six-person tag team match and shared that being in the ring wrestling once again felt very good. Advertisement 'No, not yet. I got a little bit left in me. It's funny. We did a six-man about a month ago now, give or take, and they were teasing me because I was actually in there for a little while, and it felt good. It was coming back to me, and Shelton said, 'Are you ever gonna tag out?' I'm like oh yeah, maybe I should,' MVP said. The Maverick himself was scheduled for a marquee match at The Show of Shows and revealed what Cena said to him after his bout. He said, 'You look older.' And I said, 'Wow, you really are a heel.' Following his match against AJ Styles at the show, Cena walked past Logan Paul and praised him for being a top heel. And then later in the day, after my match, he was walking by—before he became the GOAT statistically as well as just being the GOAT—he pointed at me and he said, 'Now that's how a bad guy works.'
