David Beckham's telling comment on 'heartbroken' Victoria amid bitter Brooklyn row

David Beckham has spoken out about his 50th birthday celebrations which his son Brooklyn missed due to their rumoured feud. The footballer icon made the telling comments about his birthday bash during a surprise meeting with King Charles at the Chelsea Flower Show yesterday, where the pair teased an upcoming project together. Beckham, who was wearing a new pale pink rose named in honour of the King, looked delighted to see Charles and Camilla at the Highgrove Shop stand, where all profits go towards the work of The King's Foundation. The 50-year-old has acted as an ambassador for the charity for the past year. David went on to discuss his recent 50th birthday celebrations earlier this month with Camilla asking about his wife Victoria, who she met in March when hosting a reception to mark the 15th anniversary of Women of the World (WOW), an organisation which promotes gender equality worldwide. Providing the King and Queen with an update on his wife, he said: "She's doing very well. I had a busy weekend this weekend, so it was a lot of fun, a lot of fun." And appearing to reference his 50 year milestone, he jokingly added: "I know, finally!" Charles and Camilla are believed to have sent Beckham a birthday present with the monarch asking him: "You got it, didn't you?" Beckham replied: "It was incredible, thank you, it was very kind." Camilla later said: "Nice to see you again, glad you got the roses." The Beckhams' meet up with the royals comes just days after it emerged that the King's estranged son Prince Harry and David's oldest child Brooklyn recently met at a dinner party amid both of their fall outs with their fathers. It's believed that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle welcomed Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz into their Montecito home just days after the eldest Beckham child skipped his father's 50th birthday celebrations due to a messy family feud. Meanwhile, Harry who has been at loggerheads with his father, King Charles and brother Prince William, for years now, was reportedly able to give his support and advice to Brooklyn, who has only recently become distant from his parents. It comes as a 'heartbroken' Victoria Beckham reached out to her oldest son on social media yesterday. The former Spice Girls star uploaded a message for her son as their fall out continues. The 51-year-old's post included a family snap of the couple's four kids alongside her parents Tony Adams and Jackie Adams. The couple were photographed alongside their grandkids, Brooklyn, 26, Romeo Beckham, 22, Cruz Beckham, 20 and Harper Beckham, 12, in the snap posted by Victoria. The fashion designer tagged her mother and three sons in the caption of the post. Alongside the photo, Victoria vocalised her love for her parents and kids in the caption. Writing seemingly on behalf of her and her husband David, she wrote: "We both love you all so much". She included a heart emoji.

King Charles has surprise meeting with David Beckham days after Harry and Meghan dine with Brooklyn

The King and Queen Camilla were attending the Chelsea Flower Show when they were joined by David Beckham. The King has enjoyed an unexpected encounter with David Beckham at the Chelsea Flower Show, where they hinted at a collaborative venture on the horizon, just days after son Brooklyn dined with Harry and Meghan. Charles, who appeared at the event clutching a traditional gardener's crook, and Queen Camilla, were welcomed by the ex-Manchester United icon and TV horticulture expert Alan Titchmarsh during their visit to the exhibition. ‌ The ex-England skipper was visibly thrilled to see Charles and Queen Camilla at the Highgrove Shop display, where all proceeds support The King's Foundation. Beckham has championed the foundation as an ambassador for the past year. ‌ Donning a freshly christened pale pink rose in tribute to the sovereign in his lapel, Beckham agreed with the Queen that the flower was "so beautiful" as they exchanged pleasantries. The Queen seemed to chat happily with Becks and admired his lapel, to which he commented: "It's so beautiful, so beautiful. Congratulations." Camilla asked after his wife, Victoria, who she met in March while commemorating the 15th anniversary of Women of the World (WOW), a body dedicated to fostering global gender parity, reports the Mirror. Referencing his recent 50th birthday revelries, Beckham responded: "She's doing very well. I had a busy weekend this weekend, so it was a lot of fun, a lot of fun." Making a light-hearted nod to turning 50, he quipped: "I know, finally!" ‌ The King and Queen Consort are said to have sent David Beckham a birthday present, with His Majesty enquiring, "You got it, didn't you?" To which Beckham responded: "It was incredible, thank you, it was very kind." Later, Camilla remarked: "Nice to see you again, glad you got the roses." ‌ This year marks the 35th anniversary of The King's Foundation, celebrating over three decades dedicated to creating sustainable communities and transforming lives, particularly by fostering green spaces and promoting nature-inspired education for the youth. During their encounter, the pair hinted at an upcoming initiative designed to inspire young people to pursue careers in horticulture. Their meeting occurred shortly after news broke that the King's estranged son, Prince Harry, and David Beckham's eldest son, Brooklyn, attended a dinner party amidst a reported brewing feud within the Beckham family. ‌ Reports suggest that Harry and his wife Meghan welcomed Brooklyn and his wife Nicola to their Montecito home, just days after Brooklyn missed his father David's 50th birthday. With Prince Harry also experiencing tension with his own father, King Charles, and brother Prince William, he reportedly extended support to Brooklyn, who appears to be growing apart from his parents. ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Back in England, Charles and Camila took to the stage alongside Beckham and Titchmarsh – both King's Foundation ambassadors – for the grand unveiling of the stand's façade, complete with theatrically-opening Sanderson-designed curtains that symbolise the collaboration between the interior design firm and the King's Foundation. His Majesty also enjoyed the company of Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester at the Chelsea Flower Show. The show, an initiative of the RHS, an organisation under the King's patronage, began in 1913 and is hosted at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, renowned for its resident Chelsea Pensioners.

Women of the World Festival brings community leaders, members together for a day of empowerment

The Women of the World or 'WOW' Festival took over downtown Baltimore on Saturday. Leaders, community members, and game-changers celebrated women's achievements while addressing their challenges. Dominique Dawes, three-time Olympian and Maryland native, was recognized and awarded for her achievements while serving as the festival's headliner. WJZ's very own Denise Koch had a sit-down conversation with Dawes during the event as well. The WOW Festival, founded by Jude Kelly in the United Kingdom in 2010, has brought together over five million people through these events across six continents. "I started it because I was a woman in the arts. I'm a senior woman in the arts," Kelly explained. "And I felt as if there just weren't enough stories of the lives of girls and women being told across the world about all the things we've achieved, all the success, the many battles that we had to face, the ones that we still have to face." Kelly's vision is to bring together leaders, changemakers, and community members to celebrate women's achievements and find solutions to overcome inequities. "And I thought if we could get together and celebrate the ideas together, and the history together, then we could have a much greater excitement about what change could look like," Kelly told WJZ's Janay Reece. Baltimore was selected as one of two locations in North America where the festival is held every other year. Maricka Oglesby is the executive producer for the WOW Festival in Baltimore and helped bring the event to life in Charm City. "We are celebrating the strengths of the women and girls who build, care, and create Baltimore. It is about the stories, the real grit, the perseverance and resilience of our city and our women and girls and the contributions they made," Oglesby explained. The day is filled with live panels, performances, and interactive workshops on mental health, creativity, and activism. Chinenye Ofor and her friends are a part of the Hill-Lopes scholars program at Towson University. On Saturday, they were among the nearly 500 attendees at the Women of the World 'WOW' Festival. "I think it's just nice to see what's going on in the community and all over the world," Chinenye Ofor said. "Nice to see women from like different disciplines at different places all over the world, take what they really believe in and what they learn and translate it into everyday action and belief and tangible efforts." "I think that as a young really important to see that representation and to just be able to learn from them," McKenzie Horne said. "I just thought it was a really good opportunity to, you know, come and like, immerse myself into a different area," Izzy Cole said. Jude Kelly made it clear that the festival is not only for women, but men too: "...it's something where I say, if you know a woman or you're a woman, it's for you." Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU), a private Catholic institution established in 1895 to educate leaders to transform the world, served as the event's main sponsor. "We are very proud to be the first Catholic College for Women to award the Baccalaureate degree in the country. So great alignment with the viewpoints of WOW, and many in demand, academic programs," Carroll Galvin, the VP for Institutional Advancement and University Communications at NDMU, said. "[We are] really looking to help the community."

Here's What Victoria Beckham Told Queen Camilla After Dropping Into an Expert Curtsy

Queen Camilla hosted a powerful group of women who 'refuse to take 'no' for an answer' at Buckingham Palace—and made a strong statement about her hopes for a 'gender-equal world.' On March 11, the Queen was joined by the likes of Victoria Beckham, Cherie Blair, and Penny Lancaster at a reception that celebrated the 15th anniversary of Women of the World (WOW), which Camilla serves as patron. 'Without fail, wherever WOW gathers, I have met the most extraordinary and impressive women who have, quite simply, refused to take 'no' for an answer,' Camilla said in a speech at the event, per The Telegraph. 'Some of them have a significant public profile,' she continued. 'Others can't be named because the work that they do would put their lives, or the lives of those whom they support, in danger. All of them have faced obstacles that could easily have intimidated them into a silent resignation to the status quo.' Expressing her hopes for gender equality, Camilla acknowledged that 'the task of forging a gender-equal world is a daunting one. At the current rate, globally, it will take an estimated 286 years to remove discriminatory laws, 140 years for women to hold half the positions of leadership in the workplace, and 47 years to be represented equally in national parliaments. But by following in the footsteps of these amazing women and girls who will not take 'no' for an answer, we members of the WOW family fervently hope that this will be achieved in a much shorter time. Seeing you all here, I am filled with confidence that, together, we can make sure this happens.' The Queen greeted guests in the palace's White Drawing Room, including Beckham, who dipped into an impressive curtsy for the Queen, much as Kate Middleton had done for King Charles at the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey the day prior. The King and Queen hosted David and Victoria Beckham at their country home, Highgrove, last month, and Beckham—wearing a sleeveless metallic look—told the Queen at the March 11 reception that 'she had thoroughly enjoyed the Italian-themed evening, including the wine,' according to The Telegraph. Lancaster, who in addition to her own accomplishments is married to Rod Stewart, said, per The Telegraph, 'I am a massive fan of the Queen. I think she has done an incredible job and continues to do so. Hearing her speak today at this event, I admire her tenacity and down-to-earthness.' 'She has got a lovely warmth to her,' Lancaster added. Read the original article on InStyle
