Cain hides a big secret from Moira in Emmerdale that will cause chaos
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Moira Dingle's (Natalie J Robb) has hit the end of the road with the farm in Emmerdale, having lost her biggest customer and the appeal against the fine. What she could do with is the unconditional support of her husband, but Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) is hiding a huge secret that he could have helped save Butlers. Perhaps it's because Cain has thrown himself into the surrogacy saga to block out the pain of losing Nate (Jurell Carter), but all it's done is make him forget his own immediate family. Things have not gone smoothly with the surrogacy – with Charity (Emma Atkins) trying to get pregnant with granddaughter Sarah's (Katie Hill) baby. Charity's husband Mack (Lawrence Robb) has only just got on board, but a fall in the woods after the implantation of the embryo saw the dream begin to slip through everyone's fingers when Charity found she was bleeding afterwards. Now they need another embryo transfer to try again, but the cost is astronomical. But who should come through for Sarah with a secret stash of cash? Cain, of course. He has a chunk of money that Moira isn't aware of and wants Sarah to have it for her next attempt. So, while Moira has been battling to keep a roof over her family's head, Cain has been sitting on the pot of cash that could have saved them. With all the lies he's told Moira in recent years, this will not go down well. More Trending Well, however morally wrong, Cain's financial injection into the baby making project does the trick – Charity is confirmed pregnant with Sarah's baby. Emmerdale fans divided over shock kiss
This article contains spoilers for tonight's Emmerdale, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX. Emmerdale fans have been divided after Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) cheated on husband Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb) with her ex-fiancé Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick). Charity was struggling after losing the baby she was carrying as a surrogate for Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), and took herself to the pub to get wine drunk in the middle of the day. Noticing that Charity was on the path to self destruction, Vanessa took her home and, after consuming even more wine, Charity leaned in to kiss her. For some Emmerdale fans, this is the moment they have been dreaming of ever since Vanessa and Charity split in 2020. Others, however, have grown fond of Charity and Mack's relationship. Therefore, it is no surprise that there has been a mixed reaction to the sudden kiss from Metro readers. 'No I like Charity and Mack together,' Marie Leith told us on Facebook, and she is not the only one rooting for the couple, who have been married since 2023. 'Please don't put those two together again. I like Charity and [Mack] as a couple,' Jo King pleaded, while Diane Mcdougall agreed: 'M +C Together.' Several other Metro readers agreed that they would prefer to keep Vanessa and Charity's relationship in the past, with Elaine Saunders saying: 'Please don't go there again.' On the flip side, there are many Metro readers who are desperate to see Vanessa and Charity, or Vanity as they have been known, back together. The couple share a rich history, having first kissed unexpectedly while locked in the cellar of the Woolpack together. They supported each other through some incredibly tough times, including Charity's revelation that she was sexually abused as a child and Vanessa's battle with bowel cancer. As a lesbian myself, I am definitely team Vanity! With their first ever kiss having aired on my 18th birthday, I was obviously invested from the get-go. Not only are they great representation for lesbians, they also have a really interesting dynamic. Vanessa draws out the softer side of Charity while Charity brings out Vanessa's feistiness. I don't know if they are a couple who would ultimately work long-term, but I do think there is some unfinished business that I'd love for Emmerdale to explore. They even adopted each other's youngest children, though ultimately their relationship wasn't meant to be. However, this kiss has given Vanity fans hope that maybe something will be rekindled. 'Hoping they can find their way back to each other. Vanity are endgame. Thank you Emmerdale,' Ally Kiesslinger wrote, adding: '5 years later and they still have the chemistry yay.' Shanna Rattan agreed, and even called for Charity to end things with Mack. 'Vanity endgame let's hope Charity dumps Mack,' she said. Who do you think Charity should be with? Over on Twitter/X, Metro readers were equally as excited, with user @My6Percent comparing the kiss to a religious holiday for the LGBTQ+ community. 'I was not prepared for Queer Christmas to start so early!' They wrote. Despite the length of time Charity and Vanessa have been apart, Michelle thought this kiss was 'worth the wait', adding: 'It still feels like a dream oh my gosh what an ending.' Meanwhile, Serabee revealed that they 'screamed and cried' during the scene, before going on to beg Emmerdale 'not to spoil this, to let it be something'. How things are set to play out between Charity, Vanessa and Mack from here remains to be seen, but there will surely be some juicy drama ahead. More Trending When I spoke to actress Michelle Hardwick at the British Soap Awards this year, she refused to rule out a Vanity reunion. 'Everything changes so quickly, and from script to script. You never know. But hey, Vanessa's single! Who knows what's going to happen?' She told me. But can the pair resolve things or has a new village feud been born? Elsewhere, and another feud seems to be simmering on. John Sugden decides to exact his next revenge against Robert, after seeing him speak with his ex Aaron Dingle, John's husband, in the café. Seeing them together leaves him jealous, and he decides to sabotage Robert's relationship with nephew Harry. When Harry keeps drumming, no doubt encouraged by his scheming uncle John, Robert ends up losing his temper and he snaps at Harry. Just as John heads to the house he walks in on Robert shouting at the youngster, and he feigns concern. A terrified Harry clings to a smug John, with him getting exactly what he wanted and Robert left distraught. Wasting no time in telling Aaron about what happened no doubt trying to make things worse, John relishes in talking down about him to his husband. But will Aaron give him the reaction he craves? Also in the village, Mackenzie Boyd puts his thoughts aside and tells wife Charity she can try again with another embryo transfer for granddaughter Sarah after she began bleeding recently. Cain Dingle agrees to pay for it, admitting he has some secret funds. But how will wife Moira Dingle feel about this knowing their financial issues? Soon Charity learns she's pregnant, with Sarah thrilled, and she soon makes a big baby announcement in the Woolpack. Elsewhere, Vinny Dingle is still chatting to newcomer Mike as he continues to question his sexuality ahead of his wedding to Gabby Thomas. As their bond grows, Mike asks Vinny if he's gay but it's clear he's confused. Mike comforts Vinny who is grateful for the support, and later the pair agree to meet up again. When Gabby heads to an overnight spa trip, Vinny gets an urgent message from Mike who then shows up at his house. Revealing his partner has kicked him out, the pair talk and soon Mike hints at an attraction between them. Vinny denies it, but soon it seems there's more to the story when Mike turns on Vinny. It could well be that Mike is lying about who he is and his agenda. With Gabby heading home after thinking she's left her home behind, can she save her partner from Mike? Finally next week, it's April's 16th birthday and things don't go as planned. April tells love interest Dylan that she wants to sleep with him and the pair head upstairs, only to be caught out by Mandy Dingle who sees them heading downstairs together. John gives Aaron unexpected advice in Emmerdale - that may lead to heartbreak
John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) is set to shock Emmerdale viewers this week with the advice he gives husband Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller). So far, the sinister doctor-turned-killer has managed to keep Aaron safely onside and, more importantly, out of the clutches of his arch-rival (and half brother) Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley). Although all of that is set to change. After discovering Robert had a part to play in the attack on Butler's farm via his planted listening device and revealing what he learned to Ross Barton, Robert is hardly the most popular villager. True-to-form, Ross goes for Robert's throat in the Woolpack, with Moira also infuriated to learn of Robert's duplicity. With Robert on an island, John chooses not to drive a further wedge between the ex-husbands and makes the frankly unbelievable decision to advise Aaron – the subject of both brothers' affections – to go easy on Robert. More Trending Aaron heeds his current husbands advice and agrees to a coffee with a vulnerable Robert, who divulges that he's thinking of packing up and leaving. Struck, Aaron kindly reassures Robert that he's still wanted in the village, buoying Robert, who sets off to find Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) with a new business proposal in mind. With John having unwittingly had his husband convince his love rival to stay put and reigniting the bond between them, will he live to regret his decision?
