Adhikari claimed that 'they were reportedly issuing directives to senior officials, including WBCS Executive Officers and WB Cadre IAS Officers. This is a blatant misuse of power, blurring the lines between party politics and public service, and potentially draining our state exchequer to fund TMC's campaign management agency.' Live Events 'This could be a financial scam as well and a betrayal of the trust of every citizen of West Bengal. I have urged the Hon'ble Minister to conduct a thorough investigation through the National Informatics Centre (NIC) to ascertain: 1. Digital trails of unauthorized I-PAC involvement in WB Government communications. 2. Misuse of State IT resources by non-governmental entities. 3. Violations of data privacy and cybersecurity norms . 4. Illegitimate payments, if any, from public funds to I-PAC. This is not just an administrative issue, it's a threat to our democracy. I am committed to fighting this systematic rot,' Adhikari wrote in his X Handle post.

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee urges Bangladesh to preserve Upendrakishore Ray's ancestral home
Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today expressed deep concern over the alleged demolition of the ancestral home of Satyajit Ray 's grandfather, the renowned writer-editor Upendrakishore Ray Chowdhury , in Bangladesh's Mymensingh, and urged the Bangladesh government to take steps to preserve this house. Banerjee also urged the Central government to 'pay attention to this matter'. Banerjee has written in a X Handle post today, 'News reports reveal that in Bangladesh's Mymensingh city, the ancestral home of Satyajit Ray's grandfather, the renowned writer-editor Upendrakishore Ray Chowdhury, steeped in his memories, is reportedly being demolished.' 'It is learnt that the demolition work had already begun. This news is extremely distressing. The Ray family is one of the foremost bearers and carriers of Bengali culture . Upendra Kishore is a pillar of Bengal's renaissance. Therefore, I believe this house is intricately tied to the cultural history of Bengal . I appeal to the Bangladesh government and all the conscientious people of that country to take steps to preserve this heritage-laden house. The Indian government should pay attention to this matter,' Banerjee wrote in her post. According to a newspaper in Bangladesh 'Daily Star', 'the ancestral home of eminent litterateur Upendra Kishore Ray Chowdhury, formerly used as the Mymensingh Shishu Academy , is being demolished to make way for a new semi-concrete structure.' 'Located on Horikishore Ray Chowdhury Road in the city, the century-old house is tied to the legacy of the illustrious Ray family, whose contributions to Bangla literature and arts are considered foundational. Horikishore Ray Chowdhury himself was an ancestor of Upendra Kishore, Sukumar, and Satyajit,' the newspaper said in its report.

Taking to X Handle, AITC posted: 'The party unequivocally disassociates and does not endorse the comments made by Anubrata Mondal against a police officer. We strongly condemn his use of derogatory & unacceptable abusive language. The party hereby instructs him to tender an unconditional apology within the next four hours, failing which show cause proceedings will be initiated.' It may be under the influence of those medicines, I have spoken like that,' Mondal said. 'All senior officers love Didi. I cannot think about insulting police…I take a lot of medicines. When I received the call, I was sleeping and I was disturbed about the injury of a when a party worker. I seek apologies,' Mondal said. 'We have lodged an FIR against Anubrata Mondal and legal action will be taken against him. IC Liton Das has complained a few days back about the matter,' Birbhum Super Amandeep said. Following this, a notice has been served to Mondal, asking him to appear physically before police, after lodging an FIR against him. Several security personnel, including four security and five home guards, have been removed from his residence. 'Mondal gets Y Plus category but security has been reduced from his house,' the Birbhum Superintendent confirmed. In the past, Mondal is learnt to have abused police officials on various occasions. Mondal and his daughter were arrested by ED in connection with multi-crore cattle scam and he was in Tihar jail. Mondal, whose proximity with 'Didi' is well known in political circles, seems to be falling apart recently when the election responsibilities have been given to a Committee and he was removed from the post of Birbhum District President. During Mondal's jail days, Banerjee did not remove him. Banerjee used to call Mondal as 'Keshto', by his pet name.
