NDA celebrates first anniversary of people's massive mandate in Vijayawada

VIJAYAWADA: June 4 marked a turning point in the State's political history as leaders across the ruling coalition commemorated the first anniversary of their victory as a triumph of democracy over 'anarchic and destructive rule'. The day was celebrated in a big way, highlighting the transformation in governance and public sentiment since the people's massive mandate in 2024. At the State Secretariat, Minister for HRD and IT Nara Lokesh presented copies of the coffee table book on his Yuvagalam Padayatra to Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and other Cabinet members. The book, visually chronicling the padayatra that played a pivotal role in shaping the State's political narrative, was lauded by Pawan Kalyan. Reflecting on the day, Lokesh said, 'Exactly a year ago, the people's aspirations triumphed over a regime of destruction. It was a historic victory of five crore people against anarchic and divisive rule.' With Prime Minister Narendra Modi's blessings, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's experience, and Pawan Kalyan's ambition, the reconstruction of the State has begun. The people's government is committed to development and welfare, he said, adding, 'I thank the people for their trust in the NDA, and urge continued support to keep Andhra Pradesh at the forefront of progress. Greetings on People's Verdict Day!'

Andhra Pradesh MLA hails CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu as role model for electricity reforms in country

TIRUPATI: Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy asserted that chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was a role model for electricity reforms for the entire country. During his address on the second day of the TDP's Mahanadu held at Kadapa, Kotamreddy recalled that while 16 chief ministers who ruled Andhra Pradesh in the past could produce only 5,000 MW of power during their combined regime, Nara Chandrababu Naidu generated 15,000 MW of power during his tenure alone. 'While power cuts and interrupted power supply were the order of the day back then, today the people of the state are enjoying the fruits of uninterrupted power supply because of the electricity reforms brought by our visionary leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu,' the Nellore Rural MLA asserted. Criticising the previous YSRCP govt, Kotamreddy asserted that it destroyed all systems in the state and brought it to a point where even paying salaries to the employees became a daunting task. He stressed that if Chandrababu Naidu didn't become chief minister, the state wouldn't have been able to progress in any manner from the ruins of the erstwhile regime. The Nellore Rural MLA also recalled how Nara Lokesh, through his Yuvagalam Padayatra, restored confidence among the people of the state. 'The then YSRCP govt created all kinds of hurdles for his Padayatra, but Lokesh marched forward without any fear of the cases or the brutal force being unleashed against him by the then regime. Today, the time has come for Lokesh to play a bigger role in the party in order to further strengthen the party before the 2029 general elections in the state,' Kotamreddy asserted.
