BENTONG: A 24-year-old man has been arrested to assist police investigations into a road rage incident involving a fight between two motorists in Genting Highlands, which was caught on video and has gone viral on social media yesterday. District police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said investigations showed the incident occurred at about 9am on Aug 3 at KM10.3 of Jalan Genting Highlands near here. "The victim managed to overtake the suspect's car, prompting the suspect to chase and ram into the rear of the victim's vehicle. "The victim stopped his car and was suddenly attacked by the suspect, who punched him in the face and injured his neck. "Two of the victim's friends, a 22-year-old man and woman, intervened to break up the fight," he said in a statement last night. Police arrested the suspect at the Bentong district police headquarters later the same day. He has been remanded for four days to assist investigations under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987. Zaiham advised the public not to speculate on the case.
