Kurnool: Ina call for unified and apolitical governance, Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing, TG Bharath, emphasised the need to work beyond political boundaries for the city's development. Addressing the municipal council's general body meeting held at the SBI Employees Colony Municipal Office on Saturday under the chairmanship of Mayor BY Ramaiah, he urged all stakeholders to work collectively for Kurnool's progress. Panyam MLA Gowru Charitha Reddy and Commissioner P Vishwanath were also present during the meeting where 31 agenda items were discussed. The council approved developmental works worth Rs.29.58 crore. As part of the deliberations, funds were allocated for various infrastructure improvements across multiple wards, including construction of CC roads, drainage canals, water pipelines, and community facilities. Notable approvals include Rs 16.26 crore under the 15th Finance Commission's second installment for 2023–24, Rs.1.09 crore for daily backwash operations and water treatment at Munagalapadu, and Rs.50 lakh each for road and drainage works in key areas such as Khalla Street (Ward 2), Mangali Street (Ward 4), and several other neighborhoods. The meeting also focused on urgent civic issues, such as recent disruptions in drinking water supply due to pipeline leakages in Santosh Nagar. He stated that the government is giving special attention to solving long-pending problems and stressed the need for quick completion of approved projects. He reiterated that development should transcend political affiliations and be prioritised collectively for the welfare of the city. Among the key resolutions passed were the procurement of sanitation equipment worth Rs.82.50 lakh for municipal workers, allocation of Rs 19.50 lakh for 44 walkie-talkies for project monitoring, and outsourcing of three sleeping machines at an estimated Rs 1.23 crore. Additionally, the council approved revised trade license fees for 346 business categories and assigned the management of Gadiaram Hospital (Ward 2) to CREDAI on a non-profit basis. The meeting concluded with the announcement of adjournment due to unavoidable reasons.

Kurnool: Andhra Pradesh Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing, TG Bharath, stated that people across the state are happy with the governance of the current administration. As part of the 'Suparipalana Lo Modati Adugu' (First Step in Good Governance) programme, he toured Joharapuram in Kurnool city on Saturday. He went door-to-door, directly interacting with residents and explaining the welfare and development initiatives undertaken by the government in the past year. During his visit, he highlighted key welfare measures such as the successful implementation of the 'Thalliki Vandhanam' scheme, under which financial assistance is directly credited to mothers' accounts, and the provision of three free LPG gas cylinders per year to eligible families. He stated that pensions are being disbursed promptly on the 1st of every month and announced that the government will soon roll out the free bus travel scheme for women. Despite the state's financial constraints, Minister Bharath credited Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's leadership for driving rapid development across the state. He further added that people are overwhelmingly appreciative of the good governance being delivered and are expressing satisfaction in every household visited. 'We are implementing all promised welfare schemes, including the much-awaited 'Annadata Sukhibhava' for farmers,' he said.

Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of Investopia, held four bilateral meetings with H.E. N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh; H.E. T. G. Industries Minister T.G. Bharath reviews revival efforts at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant

Andhra Pradesh Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing Minister T.G. Bharath visited the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited–Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (RINL-VSP) on Tuesday to review its operations and discuss steps to restore its past performance, according to an official release. During the visit, the Minister interacted with directors and senior officials, who presented a detailed PowerPoint briefing on the plant's status. As per the update, RINL has been ramping up production since September 2024. From operating a single blast furnace earlier this year, the plant now runs all three furnaces as of July 2025. Expressing optimism, the Minister said that with the full operation of Furnace-3, the plant is poised to reach 100% production and return to profitability after years of losses. He assured the management that he would raise the issue of captive mines with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the next meeting and also pursue it with the Union government. The Minister further advised the adoption of solar energy and advanced technology to enhance power efficiency and boost production capacity.

Kurnool: The public is highly satisfied with the State government's performance over the past year, said Minister for Industries, Commerce, and Food Processing, T G Bharath. Participating in the 'First Step Towards Good Governance' programme held at Lakshmi Nagar of Kurnool's 24th ward on Tuesday, the Minister visited every household and interacted with residents. He enquired about the implementation of welfare schemes, asked which benefits they were receiving, and whether they faced any issues in the last year. Locals affirmed that they were availing benefits such as free gas cylinders and 'Talliki Vandanam' scheme. They also mentioned that several long-standing issues in the ward had been resolved. Residents expressed gratitude to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Bharath for their efforts. Speaking on the occasion, Bharath emphasised that the purpose of the outreach programme was to explain the government's initiatives and directly understand people's concerns. He reiterated that the government was committed to fulfilling all promises made during the elections. He further announced that new welfare schemes will be introduced soon. Highlighting the State's achievements, he said Andhra Pradesh offers one of the highest pension benefits in the country and that schemes like 'Talliki Vandanam' and 'Anna Canteens' are bringing significant positive change to people's lives. He added that with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's leadership, industiralists were coming forward to invest in the State, particularly to foster development in the Rayalaseema region. Minister Bharath also condemned the YSRCP leaders for making derogatory remarks about Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's age, calling the comments unfortunate and unacceptable. He stated that such language is typical only of YSRCP leaders and recalled that the public had already limited them to 11 Assembly seats. If they continue such conduct, he warned, they may lose even those seats in the next election.
