I'm a 6ft beauty queen but stuck being single because I'm so successful – men are too scared to approach me

A BEAUTY queen has revealed that despite her modelling success and business acumen, she is stuck being single. Harriotte Lane, 24, claimed that men are too intimidated by her looks and jet-setting lifestyle to ask her out. 4 4 As reported by the Daily Star, the model acknowledged that guys are too scared to ask her out on dates as a result of her pageant queen looks. But the strawberry blonde stressed that despite men her age lacking the confidence to approach her, she is happily single for now and is enjoying the lavish lifestyle she has built for herself. The young woman, who runs her own successful pageant coaching company Crown Coach, has just been announced as Miss Grand United Kingdom to compete in Miss Grand International in Bangkok, Thailand, later this year. But the beautiful 6ft model is eager to demonstrate that she hasn't just got the looks, but has brains too. Harriotte, from Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, said: "I think because I'm a beauty queen and successful, it puts guys my age off from approaching me.' But Harriotte is 'ok with that' as she only wants someone who will 'add' something to her life, or 'is successful.' She stressed that this is the case for her with friends or a partner coming into her life, as she voiced: 'They need to be adding value and be very confident. "I know the right person who's my match will come at the right time but at the moment I'm very happy travelling the world and focusing on what I have." The business owner, who has scooped multiple beauty pageant crowns over the years, said she's passionate about promoting the industry that she credits for empowering women. She claimed that she 'started out as a shy girl' with a limited number of friends. World's first AI beauty pageant slammed as 'more curse than blessing' as people claim it's sign world 'getting dumber' Not only this, but she also felt that she didn't 'fit into society' during her early teenage years. But Harriotte has since been able to turn her life around and credits pageantry for giving her the opportunity to find like-minded women who are focused and driven. The History of Britain's Beauty Pageants Following World War Two, a number of seaside resorts around the United Kingdom introduced beauty contests. The first pageant of its kind, held in Morecambe in 1945, went on to become Miss Great Britain. Alongside it was Miss England, which had its first competition in 1928 but got properly underway as a beauty pageant in 1953. The winner of the first ever Miss Great Britain in 1945 was 18-year-old Lydia Reid, a civil service typist, who received a cup and a paltry prize (according to the local paper) of seven guineas, as well as a swimsuit. Prize money increased to £100 the following year, £500 the next and reached £1,000 in the fifties due to the competition's popularity, with it becoming a form of seaside entertainment for holidaying Brits. 'The contests were aimed at a family audience,' a blurb on the Miss GB website reads. 'Men could enjoy watching pretty girls, women could have fun backing their favourites and young girls could aspire to be a bathing beauty when they grew up.' Morecambe Town Council put the contest up for sale following the 1989 final and it was purchased by new owners who rebranded it as the 'Miss Great Britain Organisation'. As well as this, Harriotte, who grew up in a working family household, is now living her best life. She beamed: "I've been able to travel the world, do humanitarian work and actually live a life that people would genuinely only get to dream of.' I think because I'm a beauty queen and successful, it puts guys my age off from approaching me Harriotte Lane The proud northern lass now hopes to inspire others across the UK that they can achieve their dreams - as she is with Miss Grand International. She explained: 'You don't have to come from the capital to achieve extraordinary things. I'm very proud to be representing Newcastle.' Harriotte recognised that judges of pageants are looking for more than just someone beautiful. She claimed that now, entrants will need 'body, brain, beauty and business', as she concluded: "They're looking for someone who is an all-rounder."

Sean ‘Diddy' Combs and Harvey Weinstein Are Being Accused of Sexual Assault by the Same Woman

Sean 'Diddy' Combs and Harvey Weinstein have both been accused of sexual assault by model Crystal McKinney An amended complaint filed on May 30 against Weinstein alleged that he raped McKinney and a friend in 2003 The model previously filed a lawsuit in 2024 accusing Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting herSean 'Diddy' Combs and Harvey Weinstein have been accused of sexual assault by the same woman. Crystal McKinney — who filed a lawsuit against Combs in May 2024, accusing him of drugging and sexually assaulting her — has now been named in an amended May 30 complaint, which was initially filed in February 2025, against disgraced film producer Weinstein, 73. The complaint, which is unrelated to Diddy's lawsuit, alleged that Weinstein raped McKinney and a friend in a Manhattan hotel room in 2003. According to the complaint obtained by PEOPLE, McKinney claims she received a call from an unnamed modeling company executive telling her that he had set up a business meeting between her and Weinstein at a popular West Village lounge in the evening. McKinney said she brought along a fellow modeling friend and roommate to see if he would 'consider her as well for an acting role.' They arrived at the lounge and waited for the film mogul to arrive before they were ushered to his table, per the complaint. McKinney then claimed that Weinstein 'repeatedly told them that he wanted to get to know both of them better, so he could see their 'real selves' ' and suggested that they move the meeting to 'discuss potential acting roles' to his place since the lounge was 'too loud and crowded.' However, once they got back to the hotel room, McKinney alleges in the complaint that the film producer 'plied' them with alcohol, ordering several bottles of 'Boulevardier and Dom Pérignon' and' vodka cocktails.' She claimed in the lawsuit that at one point, Weinstein grabbed her breasts and 'tore at her tank top,' which caused drinks to slosh on her shirt and prompted her to flee to the bathroom. She further alleged in the complaint that her friend joined her, and Weinstein also 'barged' into the bathroom, 'demanded the women strip and take a bath with him' before proceeding to expose himself and enter the tub. McKinney said she and her friend 'complied with his request' as they felt 'backed into a corner and feared that he would retaliate against them if they refused his sexual advances.' McKinney alleged in the complaint that he 'directed' the women to engage in sexual acts with each other in the bathtub, before he 'dragged' them from the tub to the bed. She claimed that he then raped her and her friend before he 'abruptly left the hotel room.' McKinney claimed that she was 'disgusted but too frightened to voice her opposition' and had been heavily 'intoxicated' at the time. She claimed in the filing that Weinstein's assistant then called the hotel room, and McKinney informed her of what took place, but instead of 'addressing' her complaints, the assistant allegedly told her to 'leave the hotel room immediately.' Following the incident, McKinney said she experienced 'depression, anxiety, anger, self-blame, suicidal ideation, body image issues and demoralization.' Attorneys for Weinstein and McKinney did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment on the complaint. Weinstein was convicted in New York State for rape and sexual assault in 2020 and subsequently sentenced to 23 years in prison. However, his convictions were overturned in April 2024 after the New York Court of Appeals ruled he didn't receive a fair trial because women uninvolved in the charges were allowed to testify. In January, Weinstein begged a New York judge to move up his retrial date, claiming that he was in poor health and didn't know "how much longer' he could 'hold on." He is serving jail time on Rikers Island due to his 2022 convictions for sex crimes charges in California. As for Combs, he is on trial for sex trafficking and racketeering charges, for which he has pleaded not guilty. Read the original article on People

Iskra added a few inches to her frame in a pair of nude heels and accessorised with gold earrings. She appeared to be in jovial spirits as she flashed a huge smile while walking the runway at 1111 Lincoln Road with a whole host of other models, including Love Island's Grace Jackson. Iskra penned in her post: 'She's here P.P. our daughter joined us at 3.56am here at home. 8 lbs 14 oz of preciousness, our hearts are exploding with gratitude. Iskra welcomed Prima in a homebirth and shared a video to Instagram at the time documenting the process to help other women 'prepare' themselves for childbirth. In November, she shared her experience - from contractions to giving birth - a month after welcoming her daughter. The footage showed Iskra lying in the bathtub as she breathed through the pain before her partner, Philip, poured water over her bump. As the contractions became more intense, Iskra could be seen wincing in pain as she breathed heavily and started pushing. Part one finished with the midwife feeling for the baby's head as Philip started comforting Iskra in a bid to provide her with her 'needed oxytocins'. Another video showed Iskra welcoming Prima into the world and the heartwarming moment the model held her for the first time. Iskra penned: 'On the final day of Virgo season our daughter arrived in the water, my midwife laid her on my chest and I felt complete awe. 'This is part 1 of my home birth redemption story. A new birth team, and a totally new mindset. 'This was the birth of my dreams - you may watch this and think "it looks painful" but trust me you welcome it because you know that it's time to meet your baby and every contraction is bringing you closer. Grace accessorised with an array of bangles and showed off her stunning features with a high-glamour make-up palette Grace added to her frame with a pair of platform strapped heels as she strutted her stuff down the runway 'Birth is the most alive feeling I've every experienced when you feel the human you've been building moving down and getting ready to enter the world you have to completely surrender you have to work together and invite everything that comes with it. 'You are pushed to your furthest limit and realize you are more powerful than you can every imagine that you will be able to get through anything after this and it prepares you for the challenges ahead by showing you what you're capable of.' 'I didn't document my first birth and regretted it because it was the most powerful and soul shattering experience,' she added in another caption. 'I hope I can inspire you to see birth as something magical and that you and your baby know exactly what to do and you are capable. '(this does not mean I'm trying to convince anyone to have a home birth) please keep the comments kind and open minded and a safe space for mama's to share their positive stories because we need more of them not just the horror stories that fill us with fear you've got this mamas.' Iskra's brave decision to share her homebirth videos on social media was applauded by women from across the world as they thanked her for her 'vulnerable' account.
