Éderson to leave Man City at the end of the season; reports Fabrizio
Manchester City's goalkeeper Éderson is set to leave the club as per Fabrizio Romano's latest reports. By Ravi Kumar Jha Published on April 29, 2025, 08:19 IST Manchester City's goalkeeper Éderson is set to leave the club as per Fabrizio Romano's latest reports. There have been progress on his exit topic as Manchester City are reportedly eyeing a new goalkeeper signing in the upcoming summer transfer window. There is a growing possibility that Éderson will end up in Saudi Pro League as there are lot of clubs who are interested in the keeper just like last season. Ederson is reportedly considering a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer, with growing interest from Saudi Pro League clubs. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Ederson could leave the club if a suitable proposal is made, noting that there is already interest from Saudi teams, and the decision will ultimately rest with the player. Ederson, who joined Manchester City from Benfica in 2017 for £35 million, has been a pivotal figure in the club's success over the past eight years. During his tenure, he has made over 330 appearances and secured six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups, and a Champions League title in 2023. However, the 2024–25 season has been challenging for the Brazilian goalkeeper. He has faced increased competition from backup keeper Stefan Ortega and has been sidelined due to injuries, including a fractured eye socket sustained against Tottenham Hotspur. These factors have limited his appearances and sparked discussions about his future at the club. Ravi kumar jha is an undergraduate student in Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia and Mass Communication.
