The trio were arrested after being accused of causing £30,000 worth of criminal damage to a BWT Racing Point F1 Team car. They have each denied the charges, with AngryGinge claiming he only sat in the vehicle. A Northamptonshire Police spokesperson said: "On Friday, July 4, Northamptonshire Police received a report that a classic Formula 1 car on display at Silverstone Circuit during the British Grand Prix event had sustained several thousands of pounds worth of damage, which was alleged to have been caused by someone accessing the display stand and climbing into the vehicle. "Officers carried out initial inquiries, and suspects were identified. "Three men, aged 23, 25 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a vehicle and taken into police custody. "Following a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the incident, all three men were released with no further action." AngryGinge, 23, claimed he spent 15 hours in a cell and was not even interviewed before being released alongside his friends. He revealed his ordeal later on stream, wearing an orange jumpsuit and a fake pair of handcuffs. AngryGinge said: "For sitting in a car, they got us, you don't do that at F1. "They locked us up for watching somebody else sitting in a car - they locked SamHam up for watching somebody else sit in a car. "They locked Chazza up for sitting in a car, criminal damage, they tried to say. "30 grand, they tried to say…" AngryGinge continued: "Security's then come over, a very funny little moment where I've tried to grass Chaz up. "Two hours have gone past, you'd have thought I assaulted someone, let me tell you…Chazza has sat in an F1 car. "I offered to show him the video there and then. "The words, okay, from the gentleman in the cap, 'there's no point, mate. You can show us at the station.' "What the f*** is going on here then? We pull up into custody, he said, 'Do you want a solicitor?' "And I said, 'Sarge, I'm all right, thanks'. He then replied, 'Why don't you want a solicitor?' Done f*** all wrong mate. He added: "My toilet has got skids in. He's gone, 'would you like any food and drink?' - 'What've you got, mate?' "He said, 'We've got pot noodles'. "So, anyway, I've managed to fall asleep, then about 10 seconds go by, and a guy in the cell next to me starts banging for no reason. "10 o'clock in the morning, I'm thinking it is, and the door opens, I'm thinking it might be interview time. "Officer opens it, 'you're free to go, there's no further action.' "I've just spent 15 hours in a concrete block, and I'm now being told, no further action. "I've not been questioned, interviewed, and that's that. "All three of us have just been let out at the same time, no further action, done finished."

YouTuber arrested on suspicion of causing '£30,000' of damage to F1 car
A YouTuber was among three men arrested at the British Grand Prix on suspicion of causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to a Formula 1 car. Lando Norris claimed an historic victory at Silverstone on Sunday in front of record 500,000 fans but the event was marred by two separate incidents of classic F1 cars being damaged on Friday. In a statement, Northamptonshire Police said they had: 'Received a report that a classic Formula 1 car on display at Silverstone Circuit during the British Grand Prix event had sustained several thousands of pounds worth of damage, which was alleged to have been caused by someone accessing the display stand and climbing into the vehicle. 'Officers carried out initial inquiries and suspects were identified. Three men, aged 23, 25 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a vehicle and taken into police custody. 'Following a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the incident, all three men were released with no further action.' It has since transpired that the three men were YouTuber AngryGinge and fellow content creators Chazza and SamHam, with the car being the 2019 Racing Point. All three deny causing criminal damage. Images of AngryGinge, real name Morgan Burtwistle, being escorted out of Silverstone by the police had been posted on social media, as has purported footage of the incident itself. AngryGinge, who recently clashed with former Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez at Soccer Aid, has since taken to TikTok to share his version of events. The 23-year-old claims he was told the damage done was worth '£30,000' and that the trio were held overnight at the Northampton Criminal Justice Centre, though he was not questioned before being released. In a separate incident on the same day, CCTV caught a man stealing a steering wheel from a 1990 Leyton House F1 car that was at the Silverstone historic display and Eddie Jordan tribute. 'Northamptonshire Police has released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to following the theft of a steering wheel from a classic Formula 1 car,' a statement on Sunday read. 'The incident happened at about 2.30pm on Friday, July 4, when the steering wheel was removed from a vehicle that was on display at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone in South Northamptonshire. 'The man in the image could assist police with their enquiries so he, or anyone who recognises him, is asked call Northamptonshire Police on 101. 'Please quote incident number 25000390674 when providing any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible.' More Trending The footage also shows the man in question attempt to steal a steering wheel from a neighbouring car – a 1990 Brabham – before failing and moving onto the Leyton House. 'He's been in a couple of others – he's been around for about half an hour in the paddock,' a member of Martin Stretton Racing, which runs the Leyton House car, said. 'You can't sell it. It's a one-off – you'd get caught straight away. This is the original wheel from 1990 and you can't put a value on it. A new wheel would be two-and-a-half grand, but it wouldn't have the history of the original one. He's just taken that. 'We've got a spare car. We just borrowed its wheel. It's a pain in the a***.' Lando Norris savours ‘dream' British GP win but Piastri left hurt and confused
Lando Norris said his maiden victory at the British Grand Prix was everything he had dreamed of and a special moment to savour at his home race. However, his furious McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, who finished second, was convinced he had been unfairly denied by a controversial stewards' decision. Norris, now in his sixth season in F1, took the victory after Piastri had been given a 10-second penalty while leading but the 25-year-old still produced an assured drive in treacherous wet conditions to become the 12th British driver to win their home race since it was first held in 1950. It is the one grand prix Norris wanted more than any other and he revelled in his success. 'This victory is everything I dreamed of,' he said. 'Being on top at your home race is very, very special.' He said that as he sealed the final laps he was enjoying taking in his accomplishment and, most important, ensuring he did not let it slip away from him. 'Looking up at the fans and seeing them on their feet, your mind just goes pretty blank,' he said. 'I was just trying to enjoy the moment. 'These are moments that none of you guys get to witness. This is only something that I and very few Brits have achieved. It is a selfish moment, in a way, but so special and incredible because it is such a rare thing to feel and witness. 'For me, it is my best win, maybe not the best way to win, but in terms of what it means to me, winning at home, it is very memorable. Apart from winning a championship, this is as good as it gets.' Norris grew up watching Lewis Hamilton win the British GP, with the seven-time champion holding a record nine victories here. With Hamilton finishing fourth for Ferrari it was an emotional moment for Norris to have achieved a feat to match those who had inspired him. 'Silverstone is where it all started for me, watching Lewis, Jenson [Button], Fernando [Alonso] and it was that wet race here in 2008 when I began watching Formula One,' he said. 'Lewis won and I got that picture of him going round and all the fans are standing up, creating an amazing atmosphere. I dreamed of that for many, many years and today I got to see that through my own eyes and live that moment.' Norris endured one minor hiccup after the race when a photographer fell off a fence in the pit lane on to the celebrating driver. He suffered a small cut to his face but shrugged it off amid the euphoria and has now closed to within eight points of Piastri in the championship battle. Piastri was penalised for braking erratically during a safety-car restart and thereby forcing Max Verstappen to take evasive action, but while he declined to speak critically of the stewards he was adamant he thought he had been wronged by the decision. 'I felt it was well within the rules, and I did it once already in that race. I don't really get it,' he said. 'I didn't do anything differently to my first restart. I didn't go slower. I don't think Max had to evade me. So I am a bit confused to say the least. I know I deserved a lot more than I did today and when you don't get the result you deserve, it hurts.' After serving his penalty, Piastri had asked the team if he might swap places with Norris, which they declined. The team principal, Andrea Stella, noted that he wants his drivers to voice their positions and was happy with Piastri doing so. 'Lando didn't do anything wrong so I don't think it would have been fair to swap, but I thought I should ask,' Piastri said. 'It doesn't change much for the championship. I felt I did a good job and I will use the frustration to make sure I win some more races.'
