'This year, there were more votes than ever before." This isn't Lopez's first AMAs hosting gig, as fans still remember her iconic turn in 2015, where she changed outfits with every appearance and delivered a seven-minute dance marathon featuring Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, and Fetty Wap. The AMAs last aired in 2022, and after a two-year hiatus, the show returned with new categories like Album, Song, and Social Song of the Year.

P15.8B worth of counterfeit goods seized in Divisoria warehouses
Some of the fake items seized in Divisoria warehouses. Photo from Bureau of Customs The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has seized some P15.8 billion worth of counterfeit goods in warehouses in Divisoria bearing unauthorized logos of brands such as Guess, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, and Tory Burch. The follow-up inspection was conducted last Friday, May 23, after being flagged by global fashion brand Guess and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL) for sales both in-store and online. 'These fakes aren't just illegal. They endanger consumers and destroy legitimate businesses,' Guess Philippines legal head Atty. Kristian Nico Acosta was quoted as saying in the BOC statement. The warehouses had long been flagged by Guess and the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines. The counterfeit items were being sold both in-store and online. 'This is about protecting Filipinos and creating a fair, honest market,' BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio said in the same statement. The BOC — mandated to supervise and control the clearance of vessels and aircraft engaged in foreign commerce — is tasked to collect nearly P1.06 trillion this year. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/AOL, GMA Integrated News

Adults Over 40 Reveal Fashion Trends They Regret
Recently, people over 40 shared the fashion trends from their youth that they really regret following, and they had so much to say. Here are some of the top comments: "Overly tweezed eyebrows. I loved the '90s, but so many of my sisters never got their full brows back." —SizzleanQueen"I used to have a housemate who'd completely obliterated her eyebrows. It was always so weird seeing her in the morning before she'd drawn them back on."—Striking_Meringue328 "Flared, low-rise jeans." —Alternative-Dig-2066"I don't mind flares. Hate low rise with a passion."—brandi_theratgirl "Shoulder pads." —ThreeDogs2963"They're dangerous too. My aunt had a suit jacket with huge shoulder pads. She picked it up from the dry cleaners and wore it over a sleeveless top to church the next day. About halfway through the service, she started to feel an intense burning sensation on her shoulders. The shoulder pads absorbed the dry cleaning fluid and caused severe blistering on her skin!"—tiffy68 "The huge, sometimes starched/sometimes floppy bow-neck blouses that were supposed to be the female equivalent of shirt-and-tie with women's business suits." —SiteVivid9331"Called, unironically, the pussy bow."—Olivia_Bitsui "Perms or 'permanent' waves. They were so awful." —luisapet"The smell of fresh perms, too, absolutely noxious."—Salt-N-Vinegar-Lover "Around 2003-04, everyone was wearing bootcut jeans, and they would be too long. They would get all worn and frayed on the ends, particularly around the heel. I couldn't stand it then, and I can't now." —MNPS1603 "Oversized shirts where the shoulder seam was on your bicep." —robotlasagna"I recently found an old shirt I'd used to protect something in a box. It was a Guess shirt I used to wear to clubs. I put it on and it was ridiculously large. And still smelled like cigarettes."—airckarc "Polyester pant suits and leisure suits." —loriwilley "OMG, the rat tails! A kid in my high school had one that was outrageously long, and it ripped out when he tripped on it." —StrangersWithAndi "Mullets." —Justthefacts6969 "Leg warmers." —ladynocaps2 "Bright sport jackets with wide lapels. I cringe whenever I see a show about the '70s." —Stock_Block2130 "Farrah Fawcett feathered hair (looks great on her, though)." —Any_West_926 "Crimped hair." —Jackrabbits4ever "Neon colored everything." —stigbugly "In the early '90s, it was popular for women to wear a 'wind suit.' This was a baggy nylon warm-up style jacket and pants made up of different bright colors." —bde75 "Acid-washed high-rise jeans with a puffy tummy area." —Medical_Listen_4470 "The preppy style, especially the polo shirts with the collars flipped up." —Wifflemeyer "Uggs with a mini skirt. The trend I most participated in, guilty as charged." —Zestyclose-Beyond780 "I don't remember what they called them, gauchos? Wide leg 'pants' that come to mid-calf. That and what we called capris, which were mid-calf, too. I see things called capri pants now, and they seem to be just above the ankle. Those are fine. It's the 'clam-digger' length I hate." —skwirlmeat "Socks with lace-trimmed ankle cuffs worn with high-heeled pumps. Madonna could barely pull off the look, but the 20-something girls at the mall looked like 6-year-olds wearing Mommy's shoes." —SonicPiano "The Dorothy Hamill haircut, on women or men." —shouldiknowthat"I got that haircut when I was 10 or so. My head was the same shape as a toadstool. So glad when it grew out. But at least I was cured of misguided celebrity emulation at a young age."—2PlasticLobsters And finally, "Heroin chic." —vodeodeo55"How on earth was that ever okay?"—gatinjesok Is there anything you would add? EXCLUSIVE From Catwalks to Carats: Meet the Kim Kardashian-inspired model taking over Cannes and launching a diamond empire
She's walked runways, worked on major campaigns and once performed a sultry rendition of George Michael 's Careless Whisper. Now, Kim Dammer, 25, has become a notable presence at Cannes, dazzling onlookers not with a film, but through a series of high-profile red carpet appearances and exclusive events. The German-born model – who splits her time between London and Dubai – has been a fixture at this year's festival, attending major occasions from the Roberto Cavalli dinner and Chopard red carpet to the Ray-Ban party, the amfAR Gala and even Monaco Grand Prix festivities. While Dammer may be best remembered by some for her stint on Germany 's Next Topmodel, her career has evolved significantly since. Having worked with brands such as Guess and L'Oréal, she is now also an entrepreneur, having launched her own high-end diamond brand, Kimi Diamonds. The launch of Kimi Diamonds marks a significant step in Dammer's career, positioning her among models and influencers who have moved into luxury business ventures – a path also followed by figures such as Kim Kardashian, who has expanded into jewellery and fragrance. Dammer's brand focuses on 'timeless elegance' and personal storytelling, with her Instagram stating, 'Every diamond tells a story - my brand, my design, your sparkle.' Like Kim Kardashian, Dammer is cultivating a public persona as influencer, founder and socialite, though she has so far avoided the television drama that often accompany celebrity entrepreneurs. Though Dubai is her main base, she spends significant time in London, where she is building her business. Recent Instagram posts have offered glimpses of her jewellery designs, which combine classic and contemporary styles. Dammer's path has not been entirely straightforward. After departing Germany's Next Topmodel reportedly over contract issues, she stepped back from modelling before returning with a renewed focus on business, wellness and branding. A confident blend of charisma and ambition, Dammer is proving that today's model can be tomorrow's mogul - and Cannes may be just the beginning.
