3 Barcelona youngsters train with first-team ahead of Valladolid clash
A trio of up-and-coming young talents were spotted training with Hansi Flick's senior Barcelona squad on Thursday. That's according to Jijantes, who point towards Noah Darvich, Dani Rodríguez and Jofre Torrents as the players in question. Barcelona are of course currently in the midst of a recovery period, following a draining outing on the continent on Wednesday night. After welcoming Italian champions Inter Milan to Catalunya's capital for a Champions League semi-final first-leg clash, the Blaugrana were forced to settle for a share of the spoils, in a 3-3 draw. Hansi Flick's squad, though, will now quickly be forced to shift focus back towards matters on the domestic front. This comes with a La Liga meeting with Real Valladolid to come on Saturday night. And as alluded to above, amid their early preparations for as much on Thursday morning, three youth team stars were afforded a fresh chance to impress at senior level. As per Barca insider Gerard Romero of Jijantes, the trio of Noah Darvich (attacking midfielder, 18), Dani Rodríguez (winger, 19) and Jofre Torrents (left-back, 18) joined Flick's ranks at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper earlier today. Barcelona Sporting Director Deco meets with agent of Barcelona defender
Barcelona have been on a run of contract renewals, locking in some of their most valuable assets for the coming years. Many of those deals were believed to be urgent, but now Sporting Director appears to be moving onto other options. The Blaugrana tied up new deals for Gerard Martin, Ronald Araujo, Pedri and Gavi, with the latest to come along being Pau Cubarsi. The Brazilian-Portuguese has not stopped there, and earlier this week also held informal talks with Frenkie de Jong's agent Ali Dursun, who is reportedly keen to stay at the club. Now Jijantes (via Sport) report that Deco has aslo met with the agent of French defender Jules Kounde to discuss a contract extension. It is a move that comes as something of a surprise, given Kounde is on their books until 2027, and it is noted that there is no hurry from either side to get a deal done as a result. They were opening discussions for a renewal though, for a player who has become key since signing, and a de facto choice at right-back over the last few years. The 26-year-old has jumped past the likes of Andreas Christensen, Inaki Pena, Ander Astralaga, Eric Garcia and Lamine Yamal in terms of discussing his future. The latter gave an interview this week, and did comment that his contract renewal would likely be done in the summer. Christensen and Garcia have been cited as potential sales in the summer, while Barcelona are reportedly negotiating with Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah to arrive on a free this summer. Manager Hansi Flick is reportedly keen for Barcelona to bring in more established competition for Kounde this summer, with youngster Hector Fort remaining relatively unused on the bench. His three starts this season have all come as a result of disciplinary measures for Kounde.

Barcelona captain's agent expected to attend Vallecano clash amid contract standoff
Barcelona's ongoing efforts to tie down Frenkie de Jong on a new long-term deal has been well-documented. However, the club have not seen much progress as the midfielder's representatives are well aware of the fact that the player might have to settle for a pay cut. Barcelona, for their part, view de Jong's contract extension critical as the club look to not only secure the midfielder's long-term future but also lower the cost of his salary package. To that end, a recent report from Jijantes has indicated that de Jong's agent, Ali Dursun, has landed in Barcelona. Dursun was slated to meet Barcelona sporting director Deco, but the Brazilian had to leave for Porto for personal reasons. It is not exactly specified whether or not the meeting was scheduled to discuss de Jong's new contract, but it is apparent that Barcelona are already working on reaching an agreement with the Dutchman's representatives. In any case, it appears Dursun will utilise his Barcelona trip to attend the team's upcoming La Liga encounter against Rayo Vallecano on Monday. Given de Jong's recent form, the Dutchman will make a strong case to be included in the starting eleven, ahead of Marc Casado. However, even if de Jong fails to start, he will likely appear in the second half, where his technical ability could come in handy, should Barcelona struggle to get past the Vallecano defensive line. Nevertheless, it is clear that the coming few months will be crucial as Deco and Dursun look to reach an agreement that may benefit all parties involved.

Barcelona star departs training prematurely
A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was forced into a premature departure from training on Friday. That's according to Jijantes, who point towards Raphinha as the player in question. Wide-man Raphinha is for his part of course fresh off another stellar individual showing during the week, which saw the Brazilian notch a brace of assists en route to Barcelona's 2-2 Champions League draw with Atalanta. As much only added to what has been nothing short of a spectacular campaign on the part of the former Leeds United man to date. Those of a Blaugrana persuasion, in turn, may be left concerned by news that Raphinha departed group training at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper early on Friday. As confirmed by Jijantes, however, there is no need to fret. This comes with the 28-year-old having been suffering with the effects of a common cold, expected to be fit and ready to play his part against Deportivo Alavés on Sunday as a result.
