Actor Alencier's latest pic sparks health rumours; Director Shebi Chowghat clarifies, 'I half-jokingly told him to lose some weight'
(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) A recent image of acclaimed actor Alencier in a police uniform has been making the rounds on social media. In the pic, the 'Maheshinte Prathikaaram' actor was seen in a noticeably slimmer appearance. The picture, from the upcoming film 'Vere Oru Case' (Another Case) directed by Shebi Chowghat , has prompted a wave of unfounded rumours about the actor's health. Many online users speculated that the veteran performer was battling a serious illness — claims the film's director has firmly dismissed. I have always interacted with colleagues without gender discrimination or false intentions: Alencier Transformation, not illness Speaking to Manorama Online, Shebi Chowghat clarified that Alencier is in perfect health, and his leaner look is the result of dedicated weight loss for a role — not due to any ailment. 'When I first met him for my film, he had a good build. I half-jokingly told him to lose some weight for the character and gave him a few tips. I never imagined he would take it so seriously,' Shebi said. On-set energy and commitment - I even asked him if it was because of diabetes The director recalled being surprised upon seeing Alencier during the shoot of Vere Oru Case. The costumer had already noted the actor's slimmer frame, but Shebi was struck by the change in person. 'I even asked him if it was because of diabetes or another illness, and he just smiled, saying he had been dieting for my film,' Shebi shared. He added that Alencier displayed remarkable energy on set, working until midnight without any signs of fatigue, and later arrived in equally good spirits for dubbing sessions. 'Please don't burden him' While appreciative of the buzz surrounding Alencier's transformation, Shebi urged fans and social media users to avoid jumping to conclusions. 'Please don't burden him with imagined illnesses and accusations born out of pure imagination. He is doing well, and I pray for his continued good health,' the director said.
