Infiniti to Unveil a Sleek QX65 Monograph Concept and Two New QX80 Variants

Infiniti plans on showcasing a QX65 Monograph concept and new QX80 Track Spec (above) and Terrain Spec models at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. The QX65 Monograph is a concept that should closely resemble the production version of Infiniti's upcoming mid-size crossover coupe. The QX80 Track Spec and Terrain Spec variants will also be on display, likely borrowing elements from the Nissan Armada NISMO and Armada Pro-4X, respectively. With Monterey Car Week right around the corner, Infiniti plans on using the prestigious automotive gathering to show off a new QX65 Monograph concept and new Track Spec and Terrain Spec variants of the full-size QX80 SUV. The QX65 will be a new coupe-like mid-size crossover in Infiniti's lineup, and we expect the production version to closely resemble the upcoming concept. Preview of the QX65 Crossover Coupe Infiniti first hinted at the QX65 in a vague teaser shot released ahead of the Tokyo auto show way back in 2023. Many of the QX65's finer details were obscured in the initial photo, but it was clear to see that it featured a sloping roofline similar to the silhouette of other coupe-like mid-size SUVs such as the Audi Q8 and the Genesis GV80 Coupe. INFINITI This new image shows a small portion of the concept's front fascia, but the QX65 Monograph concept's upcoming reveal should give us a better preview of what the production version of the new model will look like. When Infiniti unveiled the QX Monograph concept at the event in 2023, the production version of the redesigned QX80 SUV was nearly indistinguishable from the model shown at the Quail. We think the same will be the case for the QX65. We don't know what will be under the QX65's sheetmetal yet, but we expect it to be mechanically similar to the more traditionally shaped QX60 mid-size SUV. The QX65 will probably be built on that model's underlying chassis and crib its 268-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Infiniti might release more information about the production version of the QX65 following the reveal of the concept; we think it could arrive as soon as the 2027 model year in the U.S. Two New QX80 Variants: One for the Track and One for the Trail Along with the QX65 Monograph concept, Infiniti plans on showcasing two new specialized QX80 Track Spec and Terrain Spec variants. The QX80 Track Spec will likely have a lot in common with the Nissan Armada NISMO, which features performance-focused upgrades and sporty design elements. The Armada NISMO uses the same 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 found in the QX80, boosted to 460 horsepower through engine reprogramming and revised valve clearances. In addition to the power bump, the QX80 Track Spec could also benefit from the NISMO's retuned steering and air suspension. A small chin spoiler is visible in the teaser photo and hints that the QX80 Track Spec will feature racier bodywork than the standard QX80. INFINITI Infiniti QX80 Terrain Spec, coming soon. As its name suggests, the QX80 Terrain Spec is geared toward off-road enthusiasts and will probably take after the Nissan Armada Pro-4X. All-wheel drive, all-terrain tires, an electronic locking rear differential, a height-adjustable air suspension, and underbody skid plates are all likely to be features on the Terrain Spec. Its dark preview photo also shows a few rugged accessories, including a roof-mounted horizontal light bar, a storage box, and a metallic skid plate. Infiniti is calling the new QX80 variants "design exercises" for now, implying that they could become production models if there is enough consumer interest. Austin Parsons Associate Editor Austin's car fixation began at a young age and at 1:64 scale. Eventually, Hot Wheels weren't cutting it anymore, so he developed an obsession with his father's full-sized 1965 Ford Mustang instead. Desperate to break into the automotive industry, he bartered his way into a job at a local BMW dealership by promising to stop hurling nerdy technical facts at the salesmen who came into the neighboring coffee shop where he worked. That was also around the time when he started writing automotive reviews, news articles, and technical guides for a number of local and international publications. Now at Car and Driver, Austin brings more than 10 years of experience in the automotive industry and an all-so-common love-hate relationship with German engineering to the table. Read full bio

Infiniti gives its top SUV more swagger for 2026 Infiniti finally introduced a new flagship SUV for the 2025 model year in the form of the new QX80. It comprehensively trumps its predecessor, which had become outdated with its thirsty V8 and below-average driving dynamics. The 2026 Infiniti QX80 has now been introduced, and although there are no major under-the-skin changes, it does have a new Sport trim that sits close to the top of the range. This trim replaces the Sensory, and its introduction coincides with a price increase for the range. Here's a look at all the details for Infiniti's Cadillac Escalade rival. 0:02 / 0:09 2025 Audi S3 VS 2025 Mercedes-AMG CLA 35: Which one comes out on top? Watch More Sport Gets Darker Appearance But Same Performance The Sport trim—the first of its kind for the QX80 SUV—gets an almost full house of features, as it sits below only the Autograph in the lineup. Primarily, it's a cosmetic makeover, giving Infiniti's top SUV a blacked-out makeover. The changes to the QX80 Sport start in front, where it gains a new grille and a tweaked bumper design. The roof rails, emblems, lower bumper finishers, and mirror caps all get the black treatment, and it rides on 22-inch wheels. This trim can be had in one of four colors: Mineral Black, Radiant White, Grand Blue, and Dynamic Metal. A Black Obsidian roof is available with the last three colors for those who like the contrasting look. What hasn't changed is the engine, which is still a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with 450 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. All models have a nine-speed automatic, while the Sport is one of two trims to get standard four-wheel drive. No apparent changes have been made to the suspension, which is a bit of a pity, as we did note that the body-on-frame SUV doesn't have a very settled ride when we drove a 2025 version. If you want an even sportier Japanese full-size SUV, consider Nissan's even more powerful Armada Nismo. The Dark Look Continues Inside Open the door, and the Infiniti QX80 Sport greets you with a luxurious interior finished in a Dusk Blue color scheme. There are black/blue seat inserts and diamond-pattern perforations on the seats, while graphite has been used for the pillars and headliner. Open pore wood trim and dark matter chrome accents are applied strategically. Overall, the Dusk Blue is a more unique choice than the all-black look that typically accompanies such trims. Since it is positioned below only the Autograph, the Sport is highly specified with the following items: Semi-aniline leather for the first two rows Biometric cooling 24-speaker Klipsch sound system Massaging front seats Frameless smart rearview mirror Features shared with the cheaper Luxe trim include an electronic air suspension, seating for eight, a head-up display, dual 14.3-inch screens, and heated seats in the first two rows. This is a practical vehicle, with 22 cubic feet of space behind the third row and just under 60 cubic feet when the third row is folded flat. Pricing Goes Up For 2026 Source: Infiniti For the new model year, the Infiniti QX80 starts at $83,750 for the Pure trim with rear-wheel drive, which is $1,300 more than the 2025 equivalent. Pricing for the 2026 range is as follows: Pure RWD: $83,750 Pure 4WD: $86,850 Luxe RWD: $90,850 Luxe 4WD: $93,950 Sport 4WD: $101,950 Autograph 4WD: $111,500 All prices exclude a destination and handling charge of $2,190. This is still a cheaper vehicle than the Cadillac Escalade, which starts at $90,700 for the 2025 model year. The equivalent Escalade to the QX80 Sport is the Escalade Sport 4WD, which costs $103,500, but that doesn't feel like an enormous price gap as the Cadillac still offers a more luxurious experience and better badge cachet. The previous-gen QX80 was also a lot cheaper, but not nearly as good as the new one. 'A year after its dramatic introduction, the Infiniti QX80 continues to elevate the standard in luxury SUVs, thrilling Infiniti clients with bold design and technology, while propelling strong sales at Infiniti retailers,' said Tiago Castro, vice president, Infiniti Americas. 'We know that luxury drivers are looking to make a bold entrance wherever they go, so for 2026 we are dramatically amplifying QX80's Artistry in Motion styling with a Sport grade offering a sleek, darkened appearance.' The 2026 QX80 will arrive in showrooms in late summer 2025. About the Author Karl Furlong View Profile

INFINITI's New Dawn initiative is driven by purpose and designed for tomorrow

Luxury automobile manufacturer, INFINITI, is stepping into a new era – an evolution it calls New Dawn, marking a transformative shift in brand identity, product innovation, and customer experience. The initiative is more than just a facelift; it's a philosophy that reimagines what modern luxury should feel like. At the heart of this transition is an embrace of Japanese hospitality and craftsmanship, fused with the expectations and lifestyle of today's premium car buyers – particularly in the Middle East. Albert Khreiche, Managing Director of INFINITI Middle East, shares insight into the timing and inspiration behind the New Dawn initiative. 'New Dawn marks a bold evolution for INFINITI—a refreshed identity rooted in Japanese hospitality and craftsmanship. It symbolizes a renewed product focus on modern luxury, design innovation, and customer-centric experiences – with the first proof point being the all-new INFINITI QX80, which was launched in the region last November, on INFINITI's 35th anniversary.' The initiative as per Khreiche, was inspired by the need to realign INFINITI's vision with the rapidly changing luxury automotive landscape. 'As the brand approached this milestone anniversary, it was seen as the perfect time to introduce a bright new chapter that draws on INFINITI's heritage while looking toward its future.' This vision resonates especially well in the Middle East, where the appetite for innovation, performance, and elevated experiences is stronger than ever. The QX80, the first model released under New Dawn, sets the tone with cutting-edge technologies and segment-first features. 'Our latest product launches, such as the QX80—showcase a fresh design language, Google Built-In tech, and segment-first features like biometric climate control and individual audio. These innovations elevate comfort, safety, and connectivity,' says Khreiche. 'INFINITI is evolving to offer a modern alternative in luxury, tech-forward, sensorially rich, and emotionally resonant. We're speaking directly to customers seeking more than a car—they want a tailored experience.' Navigating Market Challenges and Opportunities While the Middle Eastern luxury automotive market offers immense potential, it also presents its share of challenges, namely, intense competition and ever-evolving consumer expectations. 'The luxury segment is highly competitive, and brand loyalty is hard-won. That said, INFINITI is uniquely positioned. Our new designs, tech-rich features, and hospitality-driven service appeal to regional tastes,' explains Khreiche. He emphasizes that products like the QX80 are specifically engineered for the region's terrain and lifestyle. 'By honoring cultural values, offering personalization, and building community through programs like INFINITI BEYOND, we can transform these challenges into long-term regional relevance and loyalty.' To complement the New Dawn vision, INFINITI has rolled out INFINITI BEYOND, an exclusive membership program that redefines luxury ownership in the region. 'INFINITI BEYOND is an exclusive membership program designed to elevate the ownership experience. Tailored for the Middle East, it offers curated events, lifestyle perks and premium services. More than a loyalty scheme, it's a lifestyle ecosystem that enhances every aspect of being an INFINITI owner. It signals our intent: luxury isn't just what you drive, it's how you live.' With a focus on cultural alignment, BEYOND provides highly personalised experiences for its discerning clientele. 'Unique benefits include personalised concierge support, exclusive events, and access to elite experiences—from fine dining to private wellness sessions. It's about delivering delight beyond the drive. The program responds to a clear desire from the region's clientele: they want ownership to feel seamless, personal, and culturally aligned. BEYOND is INFINITI's answer—a luxury ecosystem shaped around those who live and lead with distinction.' Environmental responsibility is another cornerstone of the brand's forward strategy. Sustainability is more than a buzzword in INFINITI's New Dawn strategy, it's a core principle shaping future product development. 'Sustainability is central to INFINITI's New Dawn. We're aligned with Nissan's Ambition 2030 and are moving toward a more diversified drive train line-up. The Vision Qe concept previewed our first all-electric model in 2023, earlier this year an electrified SUV was announced, while new vehicles like the QX80 adopt more efficient V6 powertrains. We're integrating eco-conscious design, like energy-efficient lighting and lighter materials, without compromising on luxury,' says Khreiche. 'This region is warming up to EVs, and INFINITI intends to be a premium choice in that space. We see sustainability not as a compromise, but as a path to create cleaner, smarter, and more human-centric luxury experiences.' Human-Centered Innovation As INFINITI looks to the future, the focus remains squarely on enhancing the human experience through technology. Innovations such as ProPILOT Assist and biometric personalization illustrate the brand's commitment to intelligent mobility. 'INFINITI is investing in connected tech, semi-autonomous systems, and an electrified future. The QX80's ProPILOT Assist, biometric climate control, and Google Built-In reflect this evolution. We are also embedding Japanese hospitality—Omotenashi—into vehicle and dealership experiences. This means intuitive controls, personalised settings, and retail environments that feel warm, not sterile,' Khreiche notes. 'In the Middle East, where urban navigation, long drives and off-road capability matter, our vehicles are tuned for local needs. At every step, INFINITI is placing the customer at the center, using tech to enhance human experience, not overwhelm it. It's mobility that is intelligent, effortless, and satisfying.' As the luxury market matures, INFINITI is staying ahead by deeply understanding how consumer preferences are evolving. 'Today's luxury car buyers in the Middle East seek more than status symbols. They want cutting-edge tech, personalization, and authenticity. SUVs and crossovers continue to dominate, especially coupe-like designs that blend utility with bold styling. Buyers also demand seamless connectivity and experiences that reflect their identity,' says Khreiche. INFINITI is adapting by launching products like the QX80, enhancing tech integration, and offering human-first services like BEYOND. 'We're also investing in storytelling and experiences that celebrate local culture. It's not just about the car. It's about how that car fits into a life well-lived.' INFINITI's New Dawn is carefully attuned to the cultural and lifestyle nuances of the Middle East, from climate-ready engineering to regional brand ambassadors. 'New Dawn embraces the region's values of hospitality, adventure, and elegance. INFINITI's design language and services respect the way people live here. We've added features tailored to desert conditions, offered exclusive events through BEYOND, and celebrated regional identity in many ways, including introducing Saudi Arabian film producer and philanthropist, Mohamed Al Turki as our regional Chief Luxury Ambassador,' says Khreiche. 'INFINITI's current and upcoming vehicle line-up embodies this spirit—blending performance, design, and innovation. INFINITI is not just delivering cars to the Middle East. We're delivering a brand that resonates deeply and evolves in harmony with the needs of customers in the region.' INFINITI's New Dawn is more than a campaign, it's a comprehensive reinvention. With the region's rapidly shifting tastes and technology, the brand is positioning itself as a luxurious, human-centric, and future-ready choice for Middle Eastern customers who expect nothing less than extraordinary.

2026 Infiniti QX60 Arrives With A Substantial Price Bump

Infiniti has revealed the refreshed-for-2026 QX60 lineup, which gains a new Sport trim to replace the Sensory model from last year. More than just a name change, the Sport also adds Dark Blue upholstery, a black headliner, dark exterior accents, an S badge on the tailgate, and unique gloss black 20-inch wheels. The entire lineup now features a redesigned grille inspired by a bamboo forest, an illuminated Infiniti emblem, and restyled daytime running lights, the origins of which can be traced back to the full-size QX80. The rear fascia has also been mildly resculpted, and new wheels are available on every trim, including the base Pure, which now costs $51,200, which is exactly $1,000 up from the pricing announced nearly a year ago for the 2025 model. The shipping and handling fee remains unchanged at $1,350. The QX60 Pure offers 20-inch wheels, newly standard dual 12.3-inch displays with Google built-in, wireless phone charging, and five USB-C ports. Under the hood, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder delivers 268 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque, and when properly equipped, Infiniti claims a tow rating of 6,000 pounds for all trims. Adding AWD adds $2,000 to the price. Next up is the Luxe trim, starting $56,800 as standard and $58,800 with AWD, meaning its price is unchanged for 2026. This gets a 3D surround view monitor with Mobile Object Detection, a new feature for 2026. The Luxe also boasts a 16-speaker sound system from Klipsch, climate-controlled front seats, and heating for the second row. The Sport gets AWD as standard and starts at $61,700. When the Sensory trim could still be ordered without AWD, it started at $59,100, so this represents an increase of $2,600. Fortunately, the range-topping Autograph variant - with massaging front seats, a 20-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere sound system, semi-aniline quilted leather, a color head-up display, a two-tone roof, and black open-pore ash wood trim with metal inlays - starts at $66,150, the same as it cost last year. After Infiniti culled its most affordable SUVs last year, the QX50 and QX55, the QX60 is the entry point to ownership, but that may soon change. A report from Automotive News last month indicated that Nissan is preparing a new compact crossover under the internal codename i33C. Unconfirmed reports indicate that this will form the basis of the next Nissan Rogue and that Infiniti will piggyback with something similar. This is expected to be either a mild-hybrid or a plug-in hybrid, and in Infiniti guise, it'll have more upmarket appointments and technology. If these reports are accurate, we expect to see the production version arrive in 2027. Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
