'I wanted to name my baby after a food product but hubby wouldn't consider it'
Choosing a baby name can be a tricky task, particularly when you and your partner have differing opinions on what constitutes a good name. Parents ultimately have the final say over their child 's name, but it should ideally be a joint decision.
It's crucial to find a middle ground, even if you and your partner have vastly different preferences in names. However, one mum has revealed that she initially wanted to name her child after a well-known dairy product before her husband firmly objected, stating he "didn't like it at all" - and others have agreed that he was right to prevent the woman from using the unique name.
Nara Smith has previously gained online attention for sharing the unusual baby names she and her husband, Lucky Blue Smith, have chosen for their three existing children.
They are parents to daughters named Rumble Honey and Whimsy Lou, as well as a son named Slim Easy.
The woman is currently expecting the couple's fourth child, and created a TikTok video in which she shared some of the baby names that she "loves" but will not be using.
She began by teasing her critics with a made-up name. She said: "The first name is Moonbeam, and the second name is Ice-cream. I think that's so beautiful. I'm just joking - I've seen the comments!"
Nara then went on to share the names she genuinely considered for her fourth child, starting with boy names including Moss, Goody, Sundae, Champ, and Silk. She also made sure to mention that she "really loves" Dare as a boy's name.
She then proceeded to discuss girls' names, which she asserted were "harder" to devise than boys' names. However, one name she adored that her husband wouldn't even consider was " Butter".
Nara elaborated: "A name that I love that Lucky does not like at all so it didn't even make it into our list is Butter."
The mum also revealed she had contemplated Twinkle, Velvet, Button, Willowmere, Berry, Merit, and Shimmer.
She mentioned she had thought about naming her child Apple, but decided against it as it's "been used before", for instance by Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, who have a 21-year-old daughter named Apple Martin.
Viewers of Nara's video were perplexed by her unconventional names. Many expressed disbelief that Nara had bestowed such unique names on her children and insisted she was using pseudonyms to safeguard their identities.
One individual commented: "I wonder if she's joking ... maybe those are fake names to protect their real identities."
Another added: "Plot twist, this is all a joke and the kids have actual names and she's just using these to protect the children."
However, there were some viewers who defended Nara's name choices, describing some of her suggestions as "cute". Ultimately, the decision rests with Nara and Lucky regarding what they choose to name their child.
One person commented: "Velvet is kinda cute."
Another chimed in: "Moss and Velvet not too bad as far as Nara Smith baby names go."

5 must-watch Netflix documentaries that are guaranteed to make your jaw drop
These documentaries should be added to you to watch list Netflix fans have an abundance of TV series and films to watch this weekend, from new releases like Happy Gilmore 2 and Untamed to old favourites. Whether you are looking for something more light-hearted and fun or something that will have you gripping the edge of your seats, there is something for everyone. The weekend is the perfect chance to binge watch, so if you are looking for something new to add to your watch pile, we have put together five documentaries that have had people talking this week, including a horrifying missing persons case to a social media frenzy. Trainwreck: Storm Area 51 The Trainwreck anthology has been a hit with fans as it explores the biggest and most bizarre events that made headlines in mainstream media. From tragic festivals and political scandals, the series has shown it all. But the latest and final instalment has been branded a must watch as it investigates the Storm Area 51 frenzy that went viral. In 2019, 20-year-old Matty Roberts sparked a worldwide sensation by creating a Facebook event titled 'Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us'. The aim was to infiltrate the secret Air Force base in Nevada and uncover its supposed hidden secrets, from government trials to alien technologies. With millions of people expressing their interest, law enforcement agencies were on edge. Released on July 29, fans have branded it "insane. On TikTok, one user commented that the "story is wild" as another said they will "stop what I'm currently watching to watch this." Conversations with a Killer: The Son of Sam tapes This three part series has been branded as "craziness" as one true crime fan said on TikTok it is one "you do not want to miss". Released on Netflix on July 30, The Son of Sam Tapes transports viewers into one of the NYPD's greatest manhunts in New York City. David Berkowitz, also known as the Son of Sam and the .44 Caliber Killer, is an American serial killer who was convicted of murdering six people. Now, this true crime documentary investigates the disturbing mind of the murderer himself. Netflix teases: "Newly unearthed recordings offer rare insight into his twisted psyche, revealing what was going through his mind as he unleashed a reign of terror in the late 1970s. Alongside first-hand accounts from cops, journalists, and survivors, the series unpacks how fear spread through the streets, fuelled by cryptic letters, a frenzied press, and a killer who seemed to be everywhere and nowhere at once." And fans cannot get enough of the true crime docuseries. One person wrote on X: "Conversations with a Killer: The Son of Sam Tapes may be one of their best true crime docu-series." Amy Bradley is Missing This heart-breaking documentary explores the disappearance of Amy Bradley who went missing without a trace in 1998 while on a Caribbean cruise with her family. The documentary features footage of her last known moments, dancing in the ship's nightclub with a cruise entertainer before returning to her cabin. It also explores her final sighting which was by her father on their balcony early morning. He later woke to find her missing, and the mystery to this day remains unsolved. The documentary has gripped fans who are taking to social media to share their thoughts and theories on what may have happened as viewers say they are "adding to their watch list". One person wrote on X: "If y'all into true crime docs Amy Bradley is Missing on Netflix is a must watch!" Another added: "That Amy Bradley is missing documentary is haunting on Netflix. The forensics on the photographs matched and there were convincing witness statements who saw her. FBI should have done more to track her down. She was alive!" Critical: Between Life and Death Critical: Between Life and Death aired on Netflix on July 23 but has quickly become a firm favourite for documentary fans. It tracks London's trauma units as they face harrowing, real life situations and save lives. From multiple traumas to life or death operations, the show is said to not be for those who have a weak stomach. The six-part series features surgeons, emergency crews and victims and their families as they recount the terrifying incidents as well as tense moments within the health service. From the Makers of 24 Hours in A&E, the show features exclusive access in London's trauma hospitals over 21 days and across 40 cameras as "every second counts". And despite noting the "gory" nature of the documentary, fans are loving it. "This one is REALLY graphic...I think a tad more than 24 Hours in A&E...I'll still watch, behind my fingers sometimes," one person wrote. Another penned: "This is brilliant. Binge watching it." Fit for TV: Reality of the Biggest Loser Although not released yet, Fit for TV: Reality of the Biggest Loser has fans talking on social media as anticipation for it is high. The documentary will be released on Netflix on August 15. Fit for TV: Reality of the Biggest Loser will be a three-part documentary exploring the making of the hit reality TV competition, The Biggest Loser. Featuring exclusive interviews with former contestants, it will also explore the show's approach to extreme body transformations. Netflix teases: "The series explores how the experience shaped the lives of those involved with the show long after the cameras stopped rolling and invites viewers to reflect on the balance between entertainment and well-being, and what it truly means to pursue lasting change." Fans are already having their say. One person on TikTok said: "I've been waiting to see the repercussions of this show." Another added: "Already set my reminder! We've needed this for years."

People left delighted after spotting a 'hidden' animal in Lidl's logo - but can YOU find it?
Lidl shoppers have expressed their delight after spotting an animal 'hiding' in the budget supermarket's distinctive logo. UK-based money blogger Ricky Willis, who goes by @skintdad on TikTok, posted a clip in which he displayed the sign and said: 'When you see it you can't unsee it. The Lidl sign is a dog playing the piano. It's like no way.' The brightly coloured sign is made up of a yellow circle outlined in red set within a blue square. Written in bold letters inside the circle is the German-born retailer's name. While the first 'L', the 'D' and the second 'L' of Lidl are in blue typeface and standing upright, the 'I', marked in red, slants towards the left, resting on the tail of the first 'L'. The dot of the 'I' sits above the slanting block letter. The logo reads 'Lidl', but in a clip with over 2.1 million views, the social media user shared an alternative, much more creative interpretation, and now fellow TikTok users are claiming they can't 'unsee it'. Many TikTokers were tickled by Ricky's novel explanation of the logo, with one person writing: 'When you see it, you can't unsee it. The red letter is a slanted "I" touching a straight letter "L". There is no way!' Another person commented: 'Omg, yeah, I'm never going to be able to unsee it now'. While a third jokingly quipped: 'It's just a Lidl dog'. A fourth user said: 'It took me a while to spot it. It's the "I" beside the "L". I never noticed that before.' Yet a fifth person wasn't completely convinced, admitting: 'I can see it but [can] also unsee it. It's not that obvious'. It appeared that a sixth was left completely in the dark. They said: 'You have to guide me through that because I can't see it'. And, someone else had a unique interpretation of their own. They wrote: 'It's a chair, balancing a ball'. It comes after a different discount supermarket, Aldi, celebrated the long anticipated Oasis comeback with a very special tribute to the Britpop band - and it's sure to catch the attention of devoted fans. Tapping into the musicians' northern roots, Aldi has rebranded one of its locations in Manchester to be pronounced with the distinctive Mancunian accent Noel and Liam Gallagher are known and loved for. The store - now labelled as 'Aldeh' to signal a phonetic change - is sure to delight shoppers in the Bury New Road store in Prestwich, where many likely stopped by ahead of the group's concert in nearby Heaton Park, which took place from 11th to 20th of July. The ongoing UK performances have come after years of reunion rumours, which were repeatedly squashed by the notoriously feuding musicians. Oasis kicked off their reunion gigs on 4th July, and played in their home city at Heaton Park from 11th –20th July. 'Manchester is a vibrant city with a rich musical history, and with the Oasis reunion, we wanted to mark the occasion,' said Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK. 'By temporarily renaming our Bury New Road store to "Aldeh", we're celebrating both the local dialect and the legendary band that has brought so much joy to fans worldwide.' As part of the Oasis celebrations, the supermarket also launched a new range of Aldimania Bucket Hats (£4.99), which went on sale in stores nationwide from 3rd July, while stocks last. The brothers reunited last month on stage at Cardiff's Principality Stadium - in their first gig in 15 years. Their tour will feature stadium shows across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan, South Korea and North, Central and South America, where it will conclude with a show at São Paulo's Estádio do Morumbi on November 23. The brothers have enlisted new bandmates for the tour, with drummer Joey Waronker and guitarists Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs on board. A source told The Mirror ahead of their first tour date in July: 'With a new lineup and it being such a huge first show, the boys will do some songs inside the venue too. 'Some tours would start with a smaller show or take a week or two to get into the groove again- but there is no time for that, and also Liam and Noel want every night to be massive. TikTok users were largely convinced by Ricky's interpretation of the Lidl logo - and took to the comment section to say so 'This is such a huge comeback show, and they are taking it very seriously, it all points to it being an incredible comeback tour.' On social media, supporters reacted to hearing rehearsals for the Gallagher brothers' gig kicking off in Wales. One fan shared a clip saying: 'Hello, so it is Monday, the gig is this weekend and you can probably hear it behind me already - the sound check is happening. 'I'm not sure what song it is but it definitely sounds like Oasis. There was just instruments earlier but now there is vocals so they seem to be in Cardiff already. Which is very early for a sound check. ' Meanwhile, sharing other clips, people said: 'Oasis soundcheck in Cardiff just now, @liamgallagher sounding biblical,'; 'THEY'RE IN THERE!!! @liamgallagher and @oasis are testing @principalitysta speakers in Cardiff and they are LOUD,'; 'Oasis soundcheck Cardiff sounds wicked,'; 'Oasis sound checking in Cardiff ohhhh my god.'
