Shikhar Dhawan Used To "Smuggle" Girlfriend Into Room Shared With Rohit Sharma. Hitman Would Say...
Former India player Shikhar Dhawan is quite an honest and fearless personality. He is a man who lives life to the fullest. Be it on or off the field, Dhawan is always a charming figure. The ex-India opener has made a sensational revelation regarding his personal life dating back to 2006. Recalling his India A tour to Australia, Dhawan revealed how he made a girlfriend and later used to 'smuggle' her to a hotel room that he shared with Rohit Sharma during the tour. He also revealed the reaction of Rohit over the incident. Dhawan added that his relationship with the girl went viral in the team. "She was very beautiful, and suddenly I was in love again! I thought to myself, 'She is the one for me, and I am going to marry her,'" Dhawan wrote in his autobiography as quoted by Sportstar. "I started with a half-century in a practice game, and my tour was progressing well. After every game, I would go over to meet up with Ellen (not her real name) and I soon started smuggling her into my hotel room which I was sharing with Rohit Sharma. Now and then, he would complain in Hindi. 'Will you let me sleep?' "One evening, when I headed for dinner with Ellen, news of her presence spread like wildfire throughout the entire squad. A senior national selector, who was on tour with us, spotted us walking in the lobby with our hands linked. "It didn't even occur to me that I should let go of her hand, because to me, we were committing no crime. There was a good chance that if I had performed consistently on that Australia tour, I would have made it to the senior Indian side, but my performance kept dipping." Dhawan appeared in 34 Tests, 167 ODIs and 68 T20Is for India. His best came in the 50-over format in which he amassed 6793 runs at an average of 44.11. The southpaw smashed 17 hundreds and 39 fifties. In the Test format, Dhawan averaged 40.61 for his 2315 runs. He hit 7 tons and 5 half-centuries.

Tanishaa S Mukerji reveals why she stopped working in Tamil cinema
Actress Tanishaa S Mukerji, who had a scintillating debut in Tamil film industry with 'Unnale Unnale', has shared why she stopped working in the Tamil film industry. Her character of Deepika in the film was appreciated by the audience and the way the actress managed to get all the nuances and emotions of her character right on-screen was something truly worthy of appreciation. However, much to everyone's shock, she stopped doing Tamil films after a dream debut. Talking about her character, the actress said, 'Well, I am immensely grateful for the love and appreciation I received in 'Unnale Unnale' for playing Deepika. I truly believe the fact that I wouldn't have been able to play her if I wasn't able to identify myself with her. In fact, while playing her character, I had realized that her thought process concerning love was more about acceptance. In love, you really have to accept people for whom they are as you cannot change them. Instead, you can choose to grow with them. That was the idea'. Sharing the reason behind not working in Tamil cinema, the actress said, 'As far as not being a part of Tamil projects anymore after a dream debut, I would say that part of getting more projects in a particular industry is a lot about networking with the people who make films in that industry. In my case, I wasn't living in Chennai and hence, I wasn't in a position to meet any producer or director. So that connection was lost'. Earlier, the actress had spoken about how she expresses herself through what she wears and what she performs on-screen. Of late, the actress has been seen donning traditionally-rich ethnic outfits like a striking handwoven silk saree during a recent campaign that celebrated Indian artisans. The actress drew attention not just for her stunning look, but for the sincerity in her words. Talking about her deep-rooted connection with Indian culture, the actress said, 'Indian culture isn't just something I admire, it lives in me. From the fabrics we wear to the rituals we celebrate; I find deep meaning in our traditions. My fashion choices are often rooted in that identity'. The actress has always embraced a style that blends modern design with traditional craftsmanship. Her clothing choices consistently reflect a sense of purpose and cultural pride.

'Maa' advance box office predictions Day 1: Kajol's horror film eyes promising start amid clash with Akshay Kumar's 'Kannappa'
Kajol is making her long-awaited return to the big screen with director Vishal Furia 's 'Maa', hitting theatres across India today. The Hindi horror film marks the actress' first major release in over three years and hopes to scare off some of the competition as it makes its way to big screen. While Housefull 5 and Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par continue to draw significant footfalls, Maa enters the box office arena with fair expectations. Early estimates suggest the film is targeting a Day 1 collection between Rs 4.50 crore and Rs 6.50 crore net, according to reports on Pinkvilla and Koimoi. Given its mid-scale budget, such an opening would set it up for a good start. If Maa manages to land on the higher end of that range, it could potentially surpass Shahid Kapoor's Deva, which earned Rs 5.78 crore. If the horror film can cross the Rs 6 crore mark, it can claim the 10th spot on the biggest Bollywood opening of 2025 so far. In an effort to boost advance bookings, Ajay Devgn unveiled a limited-time "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" offer. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: 'Chandarpur ke darr ka maza sabke saath hi aayega! Buy 2 tickets, get 1 free - Advance Booking Open Now. Hurry! Offer valid till this FRIDAY. #MaaTheFilm - in cinemas tomorrow, 27th June.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo The offer is expected to boost footfalls for Maa, especially as it competes directly with Akshay Kumar 's Kannappa, also releasing today. Maa received a UA 16+ certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), making it suitable for viewers aged 16 and above. Clocking in at 2 hours and 15 minutes, the film promises a tightly paced horror experience steeped in myth and maternal instinct. The plot follows Kajol's character, a mother who embarks on a road trip with her daughter. What begins as a fun journey to reconnect turns into a nightmare as they encounter eerie supernatural forces linked to a cursed tree and a legend. The film reportedly blends Indian folklore with chilling horror elements.
