But, according to a new report, the actress has found love once again, packing on the PDA with a hunk at Radio 1's Big Weekend on Friday.
The actress, who's played Amy Barlow on the ITV soap since childhood, was spotted getting close to a mystery man in the Liverpool festival's VIP section.
An onlooker told The Mirror: 'They couldn't take their hands off each other. Elle and the guy looked very happy to be in one another's company.
"They didn't shy away from everybody around them and looked very cosy together. Elle seemed relaxed as she looked close to the guy. It seems that she has moved on from Liam.'
Elle's representatives have been contacted for comment.
At the time of their split last year, we were told it would "take a miracle" for Elle and Liam to reunite.
A source said: "Elle and Liam were loves young dream and did everything together.
"Their split has really shocked their co-stars and family and no one knows exactly what happened.
"It was all very sudden and they have both made it clear to pals it would take a miracle for them to get back together again."
The couple got together in 2022 just months after Amy Barlow actress Elle, 21, split from ex-boyfriend Euan.
Real Corrie couple Elle Mulvaney and Liam Scholes are all smiles as they go on date night
Rocker Liam, who played Eli Higginson during a controversial hate crime storyline, has since starred in Waterloo Road and fronts the Manchester indie band The lanks.
His Corrie character helped evil Corey Brent cover up the murder of Seb Franklin, who died after a vicious street attack.
Elle previously told us what she looks for in a man.
'I definitely like somebody with confidence," she said. "I'm confident myself, so it wouldn't work with somebody shy."
And she has to keep her wits about her when dating in case she's being used for her fame.
'There are telltale signs,' she explained. 'If you're on a date with somebody and all they are interested in is who I saw at work it's a bit of a red flag."
In the same interview, she insisted she's worlds away from her tearaway Corrie character.
Rebellious Amy got pregnant at 14 then had a secret abortion, and viewers often see her partying and drinking in the soap with her friends.
Elle explained: 'I like baking and running. I'm a goody two shoes and I never went to a club before I was 18.
'Because I was on television, I felt I couldn't do things like that without getting into trouble. It was a bit irritating, but now I look back and actually I'm grateful, because I didn't make any stupid mistakes.'

Coronation Street's Maureen Lipman shares reason she may not wed

Coronation Street star Maureen Lipman, who plays Evelyn Plummer on the soap, has opened up about her relationship with fiancé David Turner, but the couple may not make it down the aisle soon Coronation Street icon Maureen Lipman has opened up about her hesitations to walk down the aisle with her recent fiancé, despite announcing their engagement last year. The BAFTA-nominated actress, who first found love with her late husband Jack Rosenthal in 1974, was left devastated by his death in 2004 and later expressed her aversion to marriage following the loss of her partner Guido Castro in 2021. ‌ Yet, it seems the Corrie star had a change of heart about romance after David Turner asked for her hand in marriage. ‌ In a candid Guardian interview, Dame Maureen reflected on what life has taught her, stating: "Life is trying to teach me to stop worrying about the bags under my eyes and concentrate on someone else." While she's keen to focus on her relationship with David, she expressed uncertainty about their nuptials. She revealed: "David has 9,000 cousins, I've got four, so heaven knows how we'll manage to actually have a wedding. We may just be engaged for as long as we've got." Beyond her personal revelations, Dame Maureen has cemented her status as a beloved figure in British entertainment, gracing both stage and screen in some of the nation's most prestigious productions, reports Leicestershire Live. Before joining the cast of Coronation Street as Evelyn Plummer in 2018, Dame Maureen was already a seasoned actress with roles in Doctor Who and The Pianist, and even earned a BAFTA nomination for her role as Trish in the beloved film Educating Rita. ‌ This year marks her seventh year on the cobbles, but recently she announced a brief break from playing Tyrone Dobbs' grandmother on the ITV soap. Despite becoming a regular in 2018, Dame Maureen had a short stint on the show back in 2002 as a different character. Last year, viewers saw Evelyn make the brave decision to return to university to study law. Keen to immerse herself fully in the university lifestyle, she told her friends and family on the street that she would be leaving her Weatherfield home to live in student halls. Coronation Street will be back on screens tonight (Friday, June 6) at 8pm on ITV.

Vernon Kay urges BBC colleagues not to call HR after cheeky remark leaves them stunned

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Vernon Kay has pleaded with his BBC Radio 2 colleagues not to contact HR after making an "awkward" comment about the weather. The UK was basking in glorious sunshine last month, with the the Environment Agency even declaring drought status for the north-west of England following the driest start to spring in 69 years. However, the weather has turned for most of the country since the beginning of June, with the Met Office warning that a large area of the UK is set to be struck by fierce thunderstorms on Saturday, according to the Mirror. The recent wet weather has not gone unnoticed by Radio 2 host Vernon, who told his BBC colleague Scott Mills that he had an unfortunate moment while discussing the rain with the production team. (Image: Instagram) He said: "We were talking about the age gap between us on-air and the production team. Had a bit of an awkward moment this morning. You know the weather's turned, it's raining outside. I said to the Radio 2 team, a lot of desks on your left hand side, 'Hi team, morning news team, ooo the weather's changed. "And someone said 'Yeah it's horrible'. So I said 'Outside it's raining but inside it's wet', East 17. Didn't go down very well. I'm like 'Before you get onto HR, it's East 17." The lyrics in question come from the title song of East 17's second studio album 'Steam', which was released in the UK on October 17, 1994 by London Records. The album was certified 2× Platinum in the UK. However, with the song being released over 30 years ago, it seems that many of the BBC's production staff were unaware of the lyrics, before Scott came up with an idea. (Image: Getty Images for Great British Racing) Scott said: "Well, you should have checked it by me first and then gone to the office, do it the other way round next time. Come and check with me the phrase before you say it to the whole office." Last week, Vernon admitted to listeners that he was feeling a 'bit ropey' after enjoying BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend. During the show, the 51-year-old confessed that he suffers from a seafood allergy. It means Vernon is unable to eat prawns or cockles - a type of small edible shellfish. He says he discovered the allergy after undergoing a test. Vernon said: 'Radio 1, how are you feeling? A bit ropey, no, honestly, terrible, I'm sure I've eaten a prawn or a cockle. I'm allergic to cockles."

Inside Sue Cleaver's life with ITV colleague husband ahead of Corrie exit

Coronation Street's Sue Cleaver will soon leave the ITV soap. The Eileen Grimshaw star, 59, has played her role in the hit ITV soap since the year 2000, but will soon say goodbye to the show. Not a spotlight-seeker, Sue has previously said of her personal life: 'I do keep my life private and I am very happy with my home life.' But for anyone wondering, who is Sue's husband, and what has she said about him? And does she have any kids? Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. Sue is married to Brian Owen, a lighting technician for ITV. The couple met on Coronation Street, and left their previous relationships to be together in the early 2000s. They've been together ever since. As of 2019, it seems the pair still work together on the Corrie set, too – as Sue revealed during a segment on This Morning, where she discussed her terrifying battle with sepsis. She said at the time: 'My husband, who also works on Corrie, he was on a night shoot and he had to ring me. 'He said to his colleagues – something's not right, I can't hear what she's saying because her teeth are chattering so much… He rang our daughter-in-law who's a paramedic and she said, 'Get her to hospital'.' The couple share a pup named George Paws, who often features on Sue's Instagram. Sadly, in October last year, the star confirmed the beloved pooch had died. Previously, Sue was married to actor James Quinn from 1993 to 2003, who she met in 1991. Fans might recognise James from roles in soaps including Corrie (as D.S. Willetts), Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, and Doctors, as well as TV series Early Doors and 2017 film Apostasy. The exes appear to get along well, and even put on a play together in 2009 – called Marriages Made In Heaven. James told Manchester Evening News at the time: 'It's quite funny to be doing this with Sue. Although we got divorced, we get on well, but we haven't acted together on stage since we first met in a play in 1991.' Sue has one son, Elliott Quinn, reportedly born in 1998, who she shares with ex-husband James. We don't know much about Elliott, though he did appear at the 2018 British Soap Awards for a rare walk down the red carpet with his mum – though it seems he's now a parent himself. Yep, Sue is also a grandma! She recently took Instagram to reveal she'd become a grandmother for the fourth time, in fact – with a few heart emojis alongside an adorable snap of the newborn baby. It's not entirely clear how many children her husband, Brian, has from previous relationships. Sue is saying goodbye to Coronation Street as she now wants to 'embrace change'. Speaking about her time on the cobbles, Sue said: 'I've had 25 privileged years of working on Coronation Street.' Sue Devaney as Debbie Webster Fans have been left distraught at news of Debbie's upcoming departure, with the character being written out as part of a storyline focusing on dementia. A source told Metro: 'It's one of the show's biggest storylines of the year, and a real chance for Sue to finally get her time in the spotlight – it will just be devastating for fans that it will effectively be her final storyline. 'It's one of many major storylines new boss Kate Brooks has in the bag, and there will not be a dry eye in the house. 'There is no doubt in the Corrie family that she will give the performance of a lifetime and make Debbie's exit one to remember for years.' Sue Cleaver as Eileen Grimshaw Loose Women and I'm A Celebrity star Sue has been central to the show for two and a half decades but now she will be saying goodbye. She confirmed: 'I've had 25 privileged years of working on Coronation Street.' 'The door is still firmly open, but as I reached my 60th year, I decided it was time to embrace change, look for new adventures, and live fearlessly.' Colson Smith as Craig Tinker After 14 years, Corrie has decided to also write out police officer Craig, with the actor sharing his love for the show on social media following the decision, delivered to him last year. He said: 'I've loved every single second of my 14-year stay as a resident on the greatest street in the world. I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in, on and around Coronation Street. 'I've learnt pretty much everything about life from the people who call it home. I'm excited to play out the exit story for our Craigy. For me, this is just the end of the beginning. 'I genuinely can't wait to see what chapter 2 has in store for me. Long live the cobbles!' Charlotte Jordan as Daisy Midgeley After a very busy four years on the show, Daisy is set to leave as part of a currently to-secret explosive storyline, with Charlotte keen to try other projects. She said in a statement: 'My time at Coronation Street is something I'll always cherish. 'After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it's time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities. 'It's been a privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much.' Shelley King as Yasmeen Metcalfe After 10 years, Yasmeen will be departing the cobbles - and she has already filmed her final scenes in December, so expect her last episode soon. Metro understands that she won't be killed off. A show insider has clarified: 'Shelley spoke to producers early last year and advised that after 10 years on the show and being involved in many major storylines during the past decade she had decided the time has come for her to explore other opportunities. 'Shelley is an accomplished stage and television actress and we fully understand her desire to take her career in another direction after 10 years playing the same role. 'She filmed her final scenes in December.' Paddy Bever as Max Turner With Paddy having filmed his final scenes, it is expected he will leave in spring. 'After much reflection and in an incredibly difficult decision, I have chosen to step away from Max, and Coronation Street , to explore new opportunities. I have been surrounded by such kindness and support every step of the way, Paddy, 22, said in a statement. Talking to The Mirror, he added: 'It's been a great privilege to contribute to the legacy of such a well-loved and iconic show. This chapter has been unforgettable and while I look forward to what lies ahead, I will treasure these memories.' 'The door is still firmly open, but as I reached my 60th year, I decided it was time to embrace change, look for new adventures, and live fearlessly,' Sue added. More Trending It is understood that she made the decision in the summer, after her appearance in the Sister Act musical tour. She returned to the stage for the first time in about three decades. Sue's final scenes as Eileen will air in tonight's (June 6) episode of the ITV soap, which is available to watch on ITVX right now. Eileen's final storyline has seen her deal with the death of her sister Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh) and recently, she was surprised with the return of her son Jason Grimshaw (Ryan Thomas).
