The Prime Minister's visit underscores the deep-rooted strategic partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye, marked by a tradition of regular high-level engagements.
During the talks, the two leaders will review bilateral relations and exchange views on recent regional and global developments, the statement added.
'As long-standing allies and strategic partners, Pakistan and Türkiye maintain a tradition of regular high-level exchanges, reflecting the exceptional bonds of brotherhood between the two nations,' the Foreign Office stated.
The two countries have institutionalized their partnership through the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), a leadership-led mechanism for enhanced collaboration.
The 7th session of the HLSCC was held in Islamabad in February 2025, co-chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdogan.
'The upcoming meeting represents a continuation of this robust dialogue and underscores the shared commitment to further elevate the multifaceted partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye,' the statement added.

Evidence shows they are being funded and facilitated from across the border. We have consistently raised this matter with Afghan authorities and expect decisive action." On relations with India, he said Pakistan remained open to dialogue based on mutual respect and international law but would continue to vigorously defend its sovereignty against any false narratives or hostile actions.

PHOTO: AFP Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian is scheduled to arrive here Saturday for a two-day state visit to Pakistan on August 23, 2025, at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Dr Pezeshkian will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Foreign Minister of Iran Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, senior ministers, and other high-ranking officials, according to a Foreign Office press release. During his stay, President Pezeshkian will meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, and hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. This marks Dr Pezeshkian's first official visit to Pakistan as the President of Iran.

FO slams India's 'Operation Mahadev' as 'entirely fabricated'

During a media briefing on Friday, FO Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan stated that India's attack on Pakistan, targeting alleged terrorist infrastructure, resulted in the loss of innocent lives. Despite this, Pakistan successfully neutralised Indian fighter jets and military targets, highlighting the failure of India's military objectives. 'The world knows that India attacked Pakistan without any verifiable evidence or credible investigation into the Pahalgam attack,' he said. 'Pakistan's actions in defending its territory were indisputable, and we strongly reject any further claims regarding the so-called 'Operation Mahadev,'" he added. The spokesperson also criticised India for rejecting Pakistan's offer for a transparent, independent investigation into the Pahalgam attack. Instead of seeking diplomatic solutions, India escalated tensions, prompting Pakistan to call for acknowledgment of India's military losses and the role of third parties in securing the ceasefire, the statement read.
