Auburn baseball vs. South Carolina: TV channel, live stream, radio info The No. 8 Tigers host South Carolina for a key late-season SEC series beginning Thursday night at Plainsman Park.
The final home stretch for the No. 8 Auburn Tigers begins Thursday at Plainsman Park when the South Carolina Gamecocks visit the Plains for a key late-season SEC series.
Auburn enters the series with confidence after taking two games against Tennessee on the road last weekend. Auburn outscored the Vols, 17-7 in three games and boasted strong pitching from Samuel Dutton, Christian Chatterton, and Cade Fisher. The series win over Tennessee was Auburn's second in a row, and fifth overall in SEC play. All but one of Auburn's SEC series wins this season has come against ranked teams. Auburn owns tiebreakers over Kentucky (No. 24), Alabama (No. 8), LSU (No. 3), and Tennessee (No. 7).
Auburn has a positive postseason outlook heading into the series, as D1Baseball projects them to take the No. 6 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and has them at No. 3 in the latest RPI update. A successful weekend at home against the Gamecocks will not boost its stock as much as a struggling weekend will hurt them. South Carolina is considered a "quad-3" team by D1Baseball's RPI standards by checking in at No. 65 ahead of this weekend's action.
The Gamecocks are 26-23, and 5-19 in SEC play leading into its series at Auburn. South Carolina won its first SEC series of the season during the weekend of April 17 by taking two of three games from Ole Miss in Columbia, but has fallen in every other series to teams such as Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. They are coming off of a series sweep by Florida, a series that saw Florida win games by scores of 22-3 and 8-0 in run-rule fashion.

Auburn baseball vs. Coastal Carolina: Prediction, odds for game one
Auburn baseball vs. Coastal Carolina: Prediction, odds for game one Here are the latest odds for Auburn's Super Regional opener vs. Coastal Carolina. Friday night will be historical for the Auburn Tigers baseball program, as it will host its first-ever NCAA Super Regional at Plainsman Park. The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers are next on the docket, a team enters the series on an impressive 21-game winning streak which includes two wins over ECU and a victory over Fairfield in last weekend's Conway Regional. This year's super regional between Auburn and Coastal Carolina will feature strong pitching and even tougher outs at the plate. The Tigers boast six players with .300 batting averages or greater while Coastal has five. Each team has two hitters with 50 or more RBI while Auburn holds the edge in batters with 10-plus home runs, 3-2. Pitching wise, Sam Dutton will toe the rubber for Auburn in game one while Cameron Flukey gets the nod for the Chants. Both pitchers have ERA's lower than 3.90 and have struck out over 90 batters, which will challenge the bats of both teams. Who sets the tone by claiming game one of the Auburn Super Regional? Here is a look at the latest odds from FanDuel ahead of first pitch. Auburn will need to receive similar production from Ike Irish, Chris Rembert, Bub Terrell, Eric Snow, and Cooper McMurray as it did in the Auburn Regional last weekend to achieve that goal. Auburn gets the edge here because with those bats, and a strong relief effort by Carson Myers following Sam Dutton's outing, the Tigers should win a tight one in front of a record crowd. Tony Vitello discusses returning to Arkansas for Fayetteville Super Regional
Tony Vitello discusses returning to Arkansas for Fayetteville Super Regional No. 14 national seed Tennessee (46-17) advanced to a super regional after winning the Knoxville Regional. The Vols will face No. 3 national seed Arkansas (46-13), Saturday-Monday, in the NCAA Tournament Fayetteville Super Regional. The Fayetteville Super Regional will mark the Vols' second series at Arkansas in 2025. Arkansas won a regular-season series finale against Tennessee, 2-1, May 15-17, at Baum-Walker Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Since playing at Arkansas to conclude regular-season play, the Vols have compiled a 5-2 record in the SEC Tournament and Knoxville Regional. Tennessee defeated Alabama and Texas, while losing to Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament. More: How to watch NCAA Tournament baseball super regionals: Times, TV channels Ahead of the Game 1 between the Vols and Razorbacks, eighth-year head coach Tony Vitello discussed Tennessee returning to Arkansas for a second time this season. 'I think every game we've played since we've been there has been basically cut-throat,' Vitello said. 'I know it's double elimination format once you get to the regional. Different type of format going to Hoover this year, and we've had some good appearances or runs in Hoover, but we've also had a couple times, whether it went good or bad, the first day wasn't great. Our guys were tremendous against Alabama right out of the chute, and then the Texas game. I haven't rewatched it, but I'm going to wait and we'll rewatch the whole regular broadcast, not just our scouting report one, because it was an ESPN classic. I don't see how that one didn't help both teams in some way, shape or form, or at least I can say that it helped ours. Didn't go the way we wanted in game three, and then, you know, we go to the regional, but all those scenarios, whether they were positive or negative on the scoreboard, were great for our team. 'So, little more experience, little more maturity, and then I think as the years gone on, blame the coaches or me for taking too long, but I think it's been a year where you're kind of sorting out what do you want the lineup to be, where you want certain pitchers to go, and I think we have a better understanding of that now than maybe we did back then, or definitely prior to that.' Ex-Auburn tight end Sal Cannella earns postseason nod from UFL
Ex-Auburn tight end Sal Cannella earns postseason nod from UFL Cannella had a great season in Arlington, which led him to receive an all-league honor. Earlier this week the United Football League announced their All-UFL Team that featured a former Auburn Tiger. Arlington Renegades tight end Sal Cannella was named to the team after the productive season. The team was selected by executives, coaches, and broadcasters. It is the second time he has been awarded an honor like this one. In 2022, he was named to the All-USFL Team when he played for the New Orleans Breakers. Cannella finished sixth in the UFL with 474 yards and one touchdown. He was also second in the league with 44 receptions. The Renegades ended their season on Sunday with a 23-6 win over the San Antonio Brahmas. They ended the season with a 5-5 record and missed the playoffs. Canella had five receptions for 86 yards in the finale. Cannella played for the Auburn Tigers from 2017 to 2019 after transferring from Scottsdale Community College. During his time at Auburn, he caught 25 passes for 330 yards and five touchdowns. He was impressive when he had the ball. His head coach was Gus Malzahn, who was not known to feature tight ends often in the passing game. He scored a touchdown for Auburn in the 2019 Iron Bowl. That was a game the Tigers won 48-45. After leaving the Tigers, Cannella bounced around leagues and teams. He has spent time on the practice squads or off-season rosters for the Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has played for Arlington since the 2023 XFL season before the merger with the USFL. The Renegades won the XFL Championship in 2023. He led the UFL in receiving touchdowns in 2024 with six.
