Auburn baseball vs. Stetson: Live coverage of the Auburn Regional

The Auburn Tigers handled business on Friday by defeating Central Connecticut, 9-5, in the Auburn Regional opener. Five Tigers logged multiple hits in the game, with Lucas Steele crushing a home run and Eric Snow recording a triple. Auburn was productive at the plate, but the work by Carson Myers on the mound is what ultimately decided the game. Myers entered the game with a small, 4-3 lead, and held the Blue Devils to one earned run and six hits over six complete innings with nine strikeouts. Advertisement Auburn will turn to ace Samuel Dutton for Saturday's winner's bracket game on Saturday against the Stetson Hatters, who smashed NC State, 11-2, on Friday to open their stay at the Auburn Regional. The Hatters scored seven runs in the 1st inning and added three runs over the final two innings to seal the win. Third baseman Isaiah Barkett recorded three hits (all doubles) with four RBI in the victory. Check back throughout the game for the latest updates and highlights from Auburn's matchup with Stetson. Ike Irish boomed an opposite field solo shot into the night, putting his Tigers ahead by 3 runs heading into the game's final act. AUB in the 8th: 1 run, 1 hit, 0 errors, 0 LOB The outs collector does his thing (AUB 7 SU 5 end 8th) Ryan Hetzler stayed true to his nickname in the eighth frame, collecting a trio of massive outs to put Auburn on the precipice of heading to a regional final with a 2-0 record. Teams to do so have reached the Super Regional Round 81% of the time. Advertisement SU in the 8th: 0 runs, 2 hits, 0 errors, 0 LOB Van Dyke brings more heat (AUB 7 SU 5 mid 8th) If the Stetson Hatters come all the way back to win this game, Ty Van Dyke, along with third baseman Isaiah Barkett, deserve the keys to the state of Florida. Van Dyke has struck out 6 Tigers in three innings of work. AUB in the 8th: 0 runs, 0 hits, 0 errors, 0 LOB Balls and Strikes, and tension (AUB 7 SU 5 end 7th) Samuel Dutton came back out for the seventh inning and looked to be on his way to a perfect frame before frustration got the best of the senior. After a myriad of questionable calls by the home plate umpire, Dutton refuted a clear ball he believed was strike three, leading to his unraveling on the mound. Sophomore Ryan Hetzler was ineffective out of the bullpen, turning a bad inning into a near disastrous one. Hetzler did escape a self-inflicted bases loaded jam, leaving the Tigers with a 2-run lead heading into the final two frames. AUB in the 6th: 2 runs, 2 hits, 0 errors, 1 LOB Finishing strong? (AUB 5 SU 3 end 6th) Samuel Dutton set down the Hatters 1-2-3 in his final inning of work. The senior seemingly ended his night with an exclamation, as he sent Plainsman Park into a frenzy with a full count strikeout of Jordan Taylor. Still only at 85 pitches, Dutton could return for the seventh. SU in the 6th: 0 runs, 0 hits, 0 errors, 0 LOB T(TY)L (AUB 5 SU 3 mid 6th) Right hander Ty Van Dyke said "good morning, good afternoon, and good night" to all three Tigers batters he faced in the sixth. Coming just one pitch away from an immaculate inning, Van Dyke struck out the side in 10 pitches. Advertisement AUB in the 6th: 0 runs, 0 hits, 0 errors, 0 LOB Flashing the leather (AUB 5 SU 3 end 5th) Samuel Dutton allowed another lead off single, but a 5-4-3 double play followed by a sensational stop-and-throw by Deric Fabian erased any semblance of a Stetson threat in the fifth. SU in the 5th: 0 runs, 1 hit, 0 errors, 0 LOB McDouble (AUB 5 SU 3 mid 5th) Cooper McMurray's third double of the evening paired with Eric Snow's second gave Auburn a season-high seven doubles in a single contest. We are only half way through this Regional matchup. AUB in the 5th: 1 run, 2 hits, 0 errors, 0 LOB Crawling back (AUB 4 SU 3 end 4th) A Foster Apple walk following back-to-back singles by Lorenzo Meola and Landon Moran loaded the bases for Jordan Taylor with no one out. The junior lined a single past the sprawling dive of center fielder Bristol Carter, but a heads-up backup and surgical throw home by Ike Irish cut down a second Stetson run at the plate. A deflection-aided single from Landon Russell scored another Hatters run, making Irish's throw even more momentous in an already substantial inning for Stetson. Advertisement SU in the 4th: 2 runs, 4 hits, 0 errors, 0 LOB Shutdown inning (AUB 4 SU 1 mid 4th) Deric Fabian added a bunt single in his first at bat after entering the game for the injured Eric Guevara, but Stetson reliever Justin Solimine registered a much-needed scoreless fourth for the Hatters. AUB in the 4th: 0 runs, 1 hits, 0 errors, 0 LOB The Griffis show (AUB 4 SU 1 end 3rd) Designated hitter Evan Griffis found the right field grass for Stetson's first hit of the night, and a walk to Landon Russell gave the Hatters their first true threat of the evening. Leadoff man Isaiah Barkett would bring home Griffis on a groundout, giving Stetson some life after the early barrage of Auburn runs. Advertisement SU in the 3rd: 1 run, 1 hit, 0 errors, 1 LOB Tigers on the prowl (AUB 4 SU 0 mid 3rd) Sometimes baseball can be a frustrating game. That frustration is certainly being felt by freshman Chris Rembert, who again barreled a baseball directly into the glove of a Stetson outfielder. The remainder of the Tigers' lineup found more luck, with Eric Guevara collecting his first hit, and first run scored, of the weekend after an Ike Irish double. Cooper McMurray tagged a double high off the left field wall just two pitches later, scoring Irish and the fourth Auburn run of the ball game. A Jordan Taylor diving snag in right field briefly saved James Hays, but control problems forced Stetson's starter to the showers. The senior induced a pair of ground outs before forcing outfielder Jordan Taylor to fly out. SU in the 2nd: 0 runs, 0 hits, 0 errors, 0 LOB Flurry of Auburn doubles put Tigers on top (AUB 2 SU 0 mid 2nd) Cooper McMurray obliterated a baseball into the right field corner for the first hit of the evening by either team. Auburn's cleanup hitter came around to score the first run of the evening on an Eric Snow double. The knock extended Snow's hit-streak to a dozen games. Bub Terrell barreled home the third Auburn double of the inning a batter later, extending Auburn's lead to 2. AUB in the 2nd: 2 runs, 3 hits, 0 errors, 1 LOB Dutton protects his ranch (AUB 0 SU 0 end 1st) Aided by a dazzling web gem in the hole from short stop Eric Snow, Auburn ace Samuel Dutton fired a perfect first inning, ending the frame with a backwards 'k' of Hatters three hitter Lorenzo Meola. Advertisement SU in the 1st: 0 runs, 0 hits, 0 errors, 0 LOB Uneventful start for Tigers (AUB 0 SU 0 mid 1st) Chris Rembert ripped a line drive to center to lead off the game, but unfortunately for the Tigers it landed directly in the glove of Stetson center fielder Landon Russell. Auburn nearly sets conference record with 6 All-SEC selections

Auburn nearly sets conference record with 6 All-SEC selections Six Auburn Tigers were tabbed as All-SEC performers after a historic baseball season on the Plains in 2025. Outfielder Ike Irish (First Team All-SEC), pitcher Samuel Dutton and second basemen Chris Rembert (Second Team All-SEC), freshman Chase Fralick and Bub Terrell (SEC All-Freshman Team), and third basemen Eric Guevara earned (SEC All-Defensive Team) helped make history for the Tigers, as the six representatives from Auburn were the second most ever in conference history. The unquestioned offensive heartbeat of the Tigers, junior outfielder Ike Irish accumulated one of the best seasons in Auburn history from the plate. After missing some time in the beginning of the campaign, including the opening series of conference play, the Hudsonville, Michigan native raked his way to a .398 averaged, .480 on-base percentage, and .852 slugging percentage, to go along with 13 home runs and 92 total bases in SEC play. Each statistic ranked second in the conference. On the mound, Auburn's lone pitching representive on the All-SEC team was senior Samuel Dutton. After spending his first three college seasons as an LSU Tiger, Dutton sparkled in his lone year as a member of Auburn, becoming the first Tiger starter to earn a spot on the All-SEC team since Casey Mize in 2018. After throwing just 87 2/3 innings through his first three seasons at LSU, the senior eclipsed the 75 innings mark this season, finishing with a dazzling 3.58 earned run average and a team-high 6 victories and 89 strikeouts. Infielder Chris Rembert became the first Auburn's true freshman to earn All-SEC first or second team honors since Hunter Morris in 2008. A starter for the majority of the season, Rembert finished his inaugural collegiate campaign with a team-high .355 average and .485 on-base percentage. Both marks ranked the highest among freshman in the conference. Fellow first-year contributors Chase Fralick and Bub Terrell joined Rembert as All-SEC athletes. The catcher and outfielder tied for second on the team in doubled (14) while Fralick provided key defense behind the plate all season long. Fralick ranked third among all Tigers in averaged (.344) and finished fifth with 39 RBI. Terrell was almost equally impressive on the offensive side, as he slugged his way to a .287 average and 33 RBI. The lone Tiger on the All-SEC Defensive Team, third basemen Eric Guevara was fantastic on the hot corner all year long. The Panama native committed just 2 errors across 29 games this season, and saw his bat heat up towards the end of the campaign, as he earned SEC Player of the Week honors in the beginning of May. Auburn baseball announces pitching rotation for Ole Miss series

Auburn baseball announces pitching rotation for Ole Miss series The No. 6 Tigers will send out a familiar rotation this weekend to close out the regular season. The Auburn Tigers have been playing great as the regular season ends. They have one more series before the start of the SEC Baseball Tournament. Starting Thursday, the Tigers will have a three-game series in Oxford, Mississippi, against the Ole Miss Rebels. It will be a test on the road with Ole Miss possessing a 23-7 record at home. They are 35-17 overall and are No. 9 in the SEC with a 14-13 record. The series will be a test for the Auburn pitching staff. Ole Miss is ninth in the SEC with a batting average of .284 and has hit 97 home runs. Austin Fawley leads the team with 16 home runs, and three other players have ten or more. The Tigers announced the starting rotation for the series on Wednesday. Game one: Cam Tilly (Thursday) Cam Tilly will be on the mound first for the Tigers in game one. Tilly picked up a win in the Tigers 24-2 win over South Carolina in game one of their series last weekend. He pitched five innings with six strikeouts and only allowed two runs. He is 3-1 on the season, and looking to pick up more wins than he did last year when he had the same record. Game two: Samuel Dutton (Friday) When Samuel Dutton takes the mound on Friday he will be looking to rebound from a bad performance. In game two against South Carolina, Dutton did not play the best baseball. He pitched four innings allowing five runs from eight hits. He has been the Tigers best pitcher for most of the season. He has a 6-2 record with an ERA of 2.86. Dutton is eighth in the SEC with 85 strikeouts. Game three: Christian Chatterton (Saturday) Christian Chatterton has been playing great and will have the opportunity to close the series on Saturday. Chatterton is 4-1 on the season, and has made things difficult for opposing batters. Before giving up three runs versus South Carolina, he went four games without allowing a run. Auburn baseball vs. South Carolina: TV channel, live stream, radio info

Auburn baseball vs. South Carolina: TV channel, live stream, radio info The No. 8 Tigers host South Carolina for a key late-season SEC series beginning Thursday night at Plainsman Park. The final home stretch for the No. 8 Auburn Tigers begins Thursday at Plainsman Park when the South Carolina Gamecocks visit the Plains for a key late-season SEC series. Auburn enters the series with confidence after taking two games against Tennessee on the road last weekend. Auburn outscored the Vols, 17-7 in three games and boasted strong pitching from Samuel Dutton, Christian Chatterton, and Cade Fisher. The series win over Tennessee was Auburn's second in a row, and fifth overall in SEC play. All but one of Auburn's SEC series wins this season has come against ranked teams. Auburn owns tiebreakers over Kentucky (No. 24), Alabama (No. 8), LSU (No. 3), and Tennessee (No. 7). Auburn has a positive postseason outlook heading into the series, as D1Baseball projects them to take the No. 6 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and has them at No. 3 in the latest RPI update. A successful weekend at home against the Gamecocks will not boost its stock as much as a struggling weekend will hurt them. South Carolina is considered a "quad-3" team by D1Baseball's RPI standards by checking in at No. 65 ahead of this weekend's action. The Gamecocks are 26-23, and 5-19 in SEC play leading into its series at Auburn. South Carolina won its first SEC series of the season during the weekend of April 17 by taking two of three games from Ole Miss in Columbia, but has fallen in every other series to teams such as Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. They are coming off of a series sweep by Florida, a series that saw Florida win games by scores of 22-3 and 8-0 in run-rule fashion.
