Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Dilip Joshi, Asit Modi Had A 'Bahut Kharab Ladai' In Hong Kong
Last year, News18 Showsha also exclusively reported that Asit Modi and Dilip Joshi had a major argument on the set of TMKOC.
Former Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Jennifer Mistry has claimed that Dilip Joshi and producer Asit Kumaarr Modi had a heated argument in Hong Kong during one of the shoot trips for the show. Recently, the actress, who used to play the role of Mrs Roshan Sodhi in the popular sitcom, made fresh claims about Joshi and Modi's heated fight in public and stated that it had left everyone shocked.
'Jo Hong Kong me bahut kharab ladai hui thi. Pure public ke beech me jam ke chilla-chilla ke ladai hui thi. Dilip ji ne Asit ji ke collar pakad li thi. Bahut garma-garmi ho gayi thi. Ek time to extreme ho gaya tha. Matlab sab pareshan ho gaye the ke bhai tum producer ho, tum baar-baar kya jaate? To Dilip ji aur Asit ji ki isi cheez par bahas ho gayi thi," Jennifer told Filmygyan.
Last year, News18 Showsha also exclusively reported that Asit Modi and Dilip Joshi had a major argument on the sets of TMKOC. We learnt that the incident took place in early August when the two got into a heated argument on set over permission to take a few days off. An insider told us that Dilip reached out to Asit regarding the request to take a few days off but the creator seemingly avoided the conversation. This left the actor offended. He almost had a physical altercation with him.
'It was the last day of Kush Shah's shoot. Dilip ji was waiting for Asit bhai to come and talk to him about his leaves. But when Asit bhai came, he directly went to meet Kush. This disappointed Dilip ji," a source close to the show's production told us.
'Dilip ji got very angry and the two got into a heated argument. Dilip ji even held Asit Modi's collar and threatened to leave the show. However, Asit bhai calmed him down. We don't know how to two sort their differences," the insider added.
We had also reported that even during the Hong Kong trip shoot of the show, a massive fight erupted between Joshi and Modi, when Gurucharan Singh Sodhi helped them resolve their differences.
Dilip Joshi Denies Any Conflict With Asit Modi
However, Dilip Joshi later dismissed rumours of any conflict with Asit Modi, calling the report 'false". Expressing his disappointment, the actor stated that such baseless stories not only hurt him and Asit but also impact the millions of loyal fans of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, a show that holds a special place in his heart.
'I don't know who is behind spreading these stories, but I want to say this clearly: I'm here, I'm working every day with the same love and passion for the show, and I'm not going anywhere. I've been a part of this wonderful journey for so long, and I will continue to be a part of it. We all stand together in our commitment to make this show the best it can be… Let's focus on the positivity and joy that this show brings to so many. Thank you to our fans for always supporting us—it really means the world," he said.

Mukesh Khanna Says Casting Ranveer Singh As Shaktimaan Will "Ruin" Its Legacy: " Yeh Nashedi..."
New Delhi: Shaktimaan was more than just a TV show – it was a phenomenon. In the late 1990s, Mukesh Khanna became a household name as India's first superhero, and for many viewers, he still defines the role. With a film version now in the works, fans are curious about who will step into the iconic costume. Reports suggest the studio is eyeing Ranveer Singh, but Mukesh Khanna does not agree with the choice. During a conversation with Filmygyan, a fan asked Mukesh Khanna to let Ranveer take on the role. To this, the veteran actor said, 'You can't change my mind. You like Ranveer Singh, and I like him too. We've sat and talked for three hours, and he's a very energetic actor. But I have openly said to his face, You can play Tamraj Kilvish (the story's villain). His face has a mischievous positivity. This actor – if you tell him to play Shaktimaan, you might enjoy it because he makes you dance, but you need someone mature enough to play Shaktimaan.' Mukesh Khanna also explained that casting a superhero is not just about talent. According to him, an actor's real-life persona also matters. The actor added, ' Maine kaha dekho, mereko Shaktimaan ke liye actor nahi chahiye, face bhi chahiye. Kahin na kahin real-life mein agar aapki image galat hai, toh who beech mein aati hai. Kayi log mujhe Ranveer Singh ke liye bolte hai ki arrey sahab yeh nashedi ko Shaktimaan mat banana, humare bachpan ki yaadien khatam ho jaayengi. [I said, 'Look, I do not just need an actor for Shaktimaan, I also need the right face. Somewhere, if your real-life image is wrong, it gets in the way.' Many people tell me about Ranveer Singh, saying, 'Sir, please don't make this druggie Shaktimaan, our childhood memories will be ruined.']' The original show ran on Doordarshan from 1997 to 2005, with Mukesh Khanna playing both Shaktimaan and his alter ego, Gangadhar, a bumbling photojournalist. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh was last seen in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. Up next, he will be seen in Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar.

War 2 Box Office Day 3: Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's Film Sees BIG Drop, Trails Behind Coolie
Last Updated: War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, started with Rs 52 crore, rose to Rs 57.35 crore on Day 2, but saw a drastic fall on Day 3. The film also stars Kiara Advani. War 2 Box Office Collections Day 2: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's much-anticipated film, co-starring Kiara Advani, released on August 14, clashing with Rajinikanth's Coolie. While the film raked in a decent amount for two days, War 2 saw a big drop in collection on the third day. The film now trails far behind Coolie, however, it raked in more money than Salman Khan's Sikandar. War opened to a staggering Rs 52 crore at the box office. On Day 2, the numbers hiked by 10.29 per cent, minting Rs 57.35 crore. However, Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's film saw a big drop in collection on Day 3 by earning Rs 33 crore (early estimates). It saw an overall Hindi occupancy of 31.42% on Saturday, August 16. The total collection of War 2 stands at Rs 142.35 crore. However, there are chances the numbers could take a different turn after its first weekend in theatres. Meanwhile, Raijinikanth's Coolie is witnessing grear box office numbers. The film minted Rs 300 crore at the global box office. How is Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's War 2? News18 Showsha rated War 2 with a 2.5/5 stars. An excerpt from our review read: 'At 2 hours 50 minutes, War 2 tries to go full throttle but often skids into chaos. A thriller of this scale definitely needed crisper editing. Instead, what we get is a bunch of long-drawn flashbacks that dilute the pace, stripping the film of any solid edge-of-the-seat, nail-biting moment. But what needs to be truly spoken about are its action sequences. One thing is clear – Kabir and Vikram/Rahu are immortal. Nothing can kill them. Bullets, swords, fire, icicles, nothing. Most importantly, they can fly. They fly over land and water. Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's War 2 fee revealed The buzz around War 2 just got bigger. Earlier, reports revealed that Jr NTR is being paid a massive Rs 70 crore fee for the film, while Hrithik Roshan will take home Rs 50 crore along with backend earnings. Now, fresh reports suggest that the South superstar has also struck a lucrative profit-sharing deal. According to Bollywood Hungama, Yash Raj Films (YRF) has sold the Telugu rights of War 2 outright to producer Naga Vamsi for an impressive Rs 90 crore. A source told the portal, 'Naga Vamsi has acquired Telugu rights for War 2 for Rs 90 crores. Every profit from the Telugu theatrical medium will now go to Naga Vamsi, while YRF has received an outright recovery of ₹90 crores on a budget of Rs 400 crore. The Telugu case has been settled between the parties." Interestingly, NTR Jr has also negotiated a share of the profits from the Telugu version. 'After receiving a large salary of ₹70 crores, NTR Jr. is also entitled to a portion of the revenues from the Telugu version of Naga Vamsi. He is anticipated to earn more than ₹100 crore by the end of the run, as the Telugu version of War 2 is expected to generate significant earnings. The profits from Telugu will be split between NTR Jr. and Vamsi, not YRF or Hrithik," the trade source added. Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra, War 2 is the latest entrant in the YRF Spy Universe. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, the high-octane action entertainer released on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
