Zara McDermott created ‘the best leggings of all time' and they're only £30
Ever since she launched it last year, Zara McDermott's clothing brand Rise has continued to skyrocket in popularity, especially after it was stocked at high street fave New Look earlier this year. The most recent collection, which launched in early July, included plenty of summer staples like playsuits and comfy separates, as well as a restock and refresh of some of the brand's hero pieces – the gymwear.
The workout clothes are the core of Zara's Rise brand, and one piece in particular has become one of Zara's all time favourites. The Rise by Zara McDermott Navy Ruched Bum Leggings have become a staple part of the Rise formula, with Zara calling them 'The best leggings of all time.'
In her Instagram story, Zara also wrote: 'I designed these leggings myself because I was so sick of buying expensive leggings and them only lasting 5 minutes! So I created our core leggings with a premium feel fabric for a fraction of the price.'
The Ruched Bum Leggings are still available in all sizes from eight to 18, and you can pick them up online at NewLook.com for just £30. The leggings have a flattering high waisted fit with a wide waistband which not only smooths and sculpts but stops it from rolling down when you move around.
They have a full length leg and a ruched bum – or 'bum scrunch' – detail which helps create the illusion of a lifted, rounded bum. They've been designed to be comfortable enough to wear everywhere from yoga class to brunch with friends, with plenty of stretch that moves with you no matter what you're doing.
There are also several other brands that do a similar design, with Gymshark's Adapt Fleck x Whitney Leggings also featuring a high, wide waistband and subtle bum scrunch design. They're currently on sale down from £50 to £20 and come in 14 different colours.
Tala is also a huge favourite thanks to its soft, premium fabric and plenty of stretch, with the Tala Sculpt Seamless Scrunch Leggings in Dark Olive now £37 down from £56. Meanwhile Next has a super affordable pair of self. Seamless Bum Scrunch Leggings for £26, which come in two colours, whilst Ryderwear's Stonewash Scrunch Seamless Leggings are slightly pricier at £47.99 but feature carefully placed sculpting panels.
However if you want to try out Zara's 'best leggings of all time', you can pick up the Rise by Zara McDermott Navy Ruched Bum Leggings for £30 at New Look now.

We're calling it– Tesco F&F's animal print jeans will be everywhere this autumn
"Affordable, flattering, fun and perfect for pairing with knits" Though the weather has heated up this week, many of us are more than aware we're in the final few weeks of summer. So, instead of mourning the passing of the sunny season, we've been looking ahead to autumn dressing. One key buy that's just hit shelves is F&F at Tesco's latest denim offering, the F&F Edit Leopard Print Wide Leg Jeans in Brown. Priced at a very affordable £25, they hit Tesco's online shop yesterday and are currently fully stocked in all sizes. However, considering how fast the rest of the autumn range flew off virtual shelves, you'll be lucky to find these in your size by next week. Our head of fashion Zoe also predicts they're about to become the new 'Zara spotty dress' for autumn (ie, the 'it' buy you'll be seeing everyone wearing. Zoe says: "Snake print, leopard print and cow print, oh my! Animal prints are well and truly back for autumn/winter, but they're set to look a lot more elevated than the cheap prints of years gone. These F&F jeans are a perfect example of animal print but in a more muted colour palette and in a cool cut. My top tip? Get them before they're gone! As soon as TikTok finds out these have dropped, you won't be seeing them on shelves in your size." With their muted tone, on-trend print and statement wide-leg shape, they bring a serious dose of style to your supermarket run. Made from a cotton-blend with just the right amount of stretch, they feel so comfy to wear and look far more expensive than their £25 price tag suggests. The high-rise waist gives a flattering fit that nips you in before flowing into a wide leg that skims the hips and thighs. A five-pocket design and zip fly keep things practical, while the brown tones match perfectly with knitwear and tops of all neutral colouring. I paired them with F&F's (another sell-out buy for autumn, I predict), but I'd also wear them with a simple brown cami top like Free People's Fresh in Love Tank in double espresso, £24, for this warm weather week we're having. Elsewhere, and on the subject of animal print, another buy that won't be around for long is Adidas Originals SL 72 OG trainers in cow print, £90 and exclusive to ASOS. They've just been restocked in the cream and the brown colourways, and look perfect paired with denim.
