After a two-and-a-half year long wait, Netflix's hit coming-of-age series Ginny & Georgia has returned for a third season.
The popular show follows the titular mother and daughter duo (played by Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey) as the try to put down roots in a new town and escape their past.
By season three we see mum Georgia subjected to a grisly murder trial with the whole nation 'judging every dark secret she's tried to hide'.
Meanwhile, as well as coping with her mother's high-profile trial, Ginny is navigating the usual teenage highs and lows of anguished romance and friendship woes.
It's already proven to be the huge hit the streamers hoped it would be, easily topping the global Netflix charts with a whopping 17.6million viewers in its first week alone.

This comes alongside rave audience reviews with the third season receiving its highest score on Rotten Tomatoes yet with an impressive 82%.
For those looking to whet their appetite before diving into the chaos of the new season, look no further.
Several fans have praised the tonal-shift of the new episodes, moving away from the more cringey dialogue of seasons part for a deeper and grittier plot.
In particular fans shared their love for Max's (Sara Waisglass) character arc and performance.
'They ate down and devoured this was an amazing season, it was not cringy at all. It was so different from the first two seasons, it was so serious and I was so into it. I binged watched the whole series,' RT user Adi F wrote.
'Best season yet!!! The writing on this show (at least for Netflix) is REAL TV, especially through Max's character.
'There's so much going on and this should be a lesson to streamers to let a show grow and find its footing before you cancel it. After finishing the last two episodes, I can't wait to see what happens next,' Tyler D echoed.
'WOW! WOW! WOW…Season 3!!! How amazing to be 'reunited' with my favorite characters and slip right back into the twists and turns of the nuanced world that is Ginny & Georgia! The writing, the performances were next level!' Lisa S shared.
'Season three does not disappoint! Once again, I had a range of emotions…happy, pissed, relieved, tears, elation, shocked. It was so good! So much going on.' Marni C added.
'There's just something about this season that really hit different. I've loved Ginny & Georgia from the start, and the team behind it keeps proving how talented they are. While the first two seasons had some cheesy moments, this one felt more grounded and real,' Carley M agreed.
'You could honestly tell why this season took so long to come out. The amount of effort put in by the writers was noticeable, carefully developing previously neglected characters while still doing right by plot lines carried over from previous seasons.
'Certain scenes were truly gut-wrenching. This was hands down my favorite season of the show,' Accursed B declared.
After ending on a suitable dramatic note, fans have been saved the agony of waiting for a renewal, with Netflix already greenlighting a fourth season.
Discussing her approach to the third season and exploring Georgia's relationship with her children, creator Sarah Lampert told Hollywood Reporter that they spoke with a psychologist. More Trending
She explained: 'We chatted with [psychologist] Dr. Taji again and we were like: 'If we were going to bring them to a more healed relationship, what would have to happen?' And she said, 'You'd have to break Georgia,'
'Georgia needs to feel like she really might lose her kids, and only then could she change and want to change.'
As for exactly how that pans out, you'll have to watch and see.

Sam Thompson's 'bravado' in first meeting with Louis Tomlinson at Soccer Aid

Sam Thompson and Louis Tomlinson have finally come face-to-face after the One Direction singer started dating the Made in Chelsea star's ex-girlfriend Zara McDermott. Last year I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! winner Sam, 32, split from his long-time girlfriend Zara, who rose to fame appearing on Love Island. The couple had been together for five years, however three months later Zara, 28, was spotted on a date in Suffolk with Louis, 33. At the time a source said Sam was 'hurting' and was struggling after seeing his ex 'move on so quickly'. Not long after the new romance was confirmed, it was revealed that the men were set to meet on live TV after both signing up for the Soccer Aid for Unicef match in June, where they will both be playing on the England team. Now, with the match just a few days away, the pair have taken to the pitch for training at Old Trafford in Manchester, with photographers capturing them together. During the session, Sam and Louis were seen doing their best to avoid eye contact when meeting. Throughout training, they were seen having a kick with their fellow teammates, who include Tom Grennan, Bear Grylls, Paddy McGuinness, Wayne Rooney and Jill Scott. One photo saw them pose for a team photo, with Louis standing directly behind Sam, while another showed Sam standing close by Louis as they trained. Weighing in on their interaction, body language expert Judi James said Sam looked like he was trying to convey a sense of 'bravado'. 'Both Sam's 'red carpet' pose and Louis's arrival for the game suggest the kind of overkill, stretched smiles that hint at a huge desire to act as though nothing has happened despite this being their first meet-up since Sam split with Zara who then moved on with Louis,' she told Metro. 'Sam's smile in particular looks like a gesture of bravado as his chest is also puffed in a look of pride and resilience. There are no moments here where the two men performed an act of acknowledgment, greeting each other or even shaking hands or hugging to signal there are no hard feelings.' She went on: 'When you try to ignore a glaring situation like this it often adds to the drama, but the suggestion is that neither of these celebrity 'nice guys' wanted to upstage a very worthwhile charity event. While Sam resorted to playful showboating Louis appeared more low-key and introvert, watching Sam at times but with the two men otherwise avoiding eye contact.' Since being spotted together in March, Louis and Zara have taken romantic trips away together to Los Angeles and Costa Rica. Meanwhile Sam has now moved on himself too, and is dating another Love Island star – Samie Eilishi, 25. However last month his best mate and podcast host Pete Wicks poked fun at Sam, addressing his 'rivalry' with Louis. 'How do you feel about the lineup? Do you think you have a strong team? Any kind of people in there that you're looking forward to playing with?' he asked. Laughing but avoiding to be drawn, Sam listed other stars he was looking forward to playing with. More Trending 'Make sure you get him on side though,' Pete said about boxer Tyson Fury. 'Because you may need him in your corner. In case you fall out with anyone – not that you will – but just in case there's any rivalries or anything. 'You know you have to train together and it's a lot and you know when you're kind of in close quarters with someone like that, all sorts get brought up.' Despite the potentially awkward run-in, a source previously said that Sam had 'no hard feelings' towards Louis. The Soccer Aid for Unicef match airs Sunday 15 June on ITV1. Got a story? Netflix fans rush to binge 'must-see' series after huge Rotten Tomatoes boost

When the first season of Netflix's workplace comedy Tires arrived last year, the raunchy tone and divisive lead Shane Gillis clearly weren't for everyone. In fact, it wasn't for a lot of people. The show only scored a 40 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes – the equivalent of the unwanted green splat –and if it hadn't been renewed before its release, you have to wonder whether Netflix would have brought the show back at all. But now the second season has arrived on the streaming platform and brought with it considerable improvements on the first season – so much so the new episodes currently hold a 80 percent rating on the Tomatometer. Big gains. Made on a shoestring budget compared to other recent Netflix releases like Fubar or Sirens, Tires sees Gillis play a fictionalised version of himself (also called Shane), who inherits his father's Pennsylvania chain of tire shops. For fans of The Bear, it's a premise that might sound familiar, with two cousins at the reins. There's wayward manager Will (co-creator Steven Gerben) and firebrand Shane (Shane Gillis), who run through a series of harebrained schemes to try and keep the business afloat. The show was a self-funded passion project for Gillis, who was fired from Saturday Night Live – before he had even started on the sketch comedy show – for using a racist slur and making offensive jokes on his podcast. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Gillis made the sitcom pilot for his YouTube channel in 2019, before he invested in filming a full, six-episode season, which Netflix then acquired. While the first season was met with a muted response from critics, the second is already receiving plaudits for a more tasteful level of comedy and feel-good experience, blended with great cast additions and more full-bodied episode arcs. The show has been dipping in and out of the Netflix ranking of its top 10 TV, with many fans taking to X to praise the storytelling gains Tires has made for its sophomore outing. @thejollywodger labelled the new season of the show 'sensational', while @Jaspg wrote: 'I'm only three episodes in on season two of Tires and it's better than season one.' They wrote: 'Just binge watched all of Tires season 2 and I've got to say it's one of.. if not the best comedy series I've ever watched. Shane Gillis, when you releasing season 3?' @N_asty25 echoed: 'Shane Gillis' Tires needs to take a page out of Letterkenny's book and pump out a season every year at the minimum. 'This is legit gold. Steve Gerben's acting (which I'm guessing is mostly improv) has improved dramatically from season 1 to 2. Season 2 gets a 9.1/10 from me.' Netflix users slam new update

Published: | Updated: Netflix users around the world are lashing out over a new update that many say has ruined their viewing experience. The streaming giant, which boasts over 300 million subscribers , has rolled out a redesigned user interface (UI) to deliver better recommendations and a more personalized experience. However, the update has triggered a wave of frustration, with some subscribers calling it 'diabolical.' 'Netflix has destroyed the app. Worst UI redesign ever. Everyone needs to cancel,' one user posted on X. Users are now presented with enlarged title cards, the rectangular graphics that preview shows and movies, which they said takes up more screen space and reduces the number of titles visible at once. Previously, users could scroll through multiple rows of compact tiles. The 'clunky' title boxes have also taken the place of key features that users said helped them find movies and shows easily. 'Netflix's update is diabolical. Where the hell is the 'Coming Soon' section?!' another frustrated user shared on X. Chief Technology Officer Elizabeth Stone emphasized the company's focus on merging technology with entertainment, calling it Netflix's 'superpower' that improves user connection with shows and movies. The streaming giant believes the new experience will save users from overwhelming situations, like choosing what to watch, by providing tailor-made suggestions for them. In the previous version, shortcuts like Search and My List were located on the left side. Now, shortcuts to Search, Shows, Movies, Games, and My Netflix are located at the top of your screen and always visible. The revamped homepage introduces multiple rows of content that update based on a user's viewing habits. For instance, someone watching a romantic comedy may suddenly see an entire section dedicated to similar films. 'The new Netflix TV experience is still the one you know and love, just better,' Chief Product Officer Eunice Kim said. Despite the company's promises, many users are taking to social media to complain that the update has worsened their viewing experience. 'Whoever's job it was to update Netflix UI, I'm praying for a resignation in the coming weeks. IT LOOKS TERRIBLE,' an X user shared. On Reddit, where user experience discussions often gain traction, subscribers echoed the frustration. One described the update as 'so dire' they were considering canceling their subscription. Another added: 'It was so slick and easy to use before. Now it's so clunky.' Some subscribers have even launched a petition urging Netflix to revert the layout, arguing that the new interface shows only three to four titles per screen, which is a drastic drop from the 20 or more shown previously. While users are outraged, Netflix stands by the design that it said will better accommodate its growing library of movies, TV shows and games. The platform also plans to add generative AI-powered search features, beginning with a beta rollout on iOS. The new AI-powered search tool will let users find content using natural language — for example, typing 'I want something funny and upbeat' instead of searching for specific titles. Despite the backlash, Netflix appears committed to the redesign. The company said internal testing showed strong user engagement, suggesting confidence that the interface will grow on subscribers over time. Interestingly, signs of user discontent surfaced months ago. Some began voicing complaints during early beta testing, particularly over the enlarged tiles and the diminished ease of browsing, concerns that have since exploded across social platforms.
