Eddie Hall's recent challenge for an MMA bout, responding harshly to the heavyweight as a 'fatty' and questioning his motives.
Eddie Hall
's dominant 30-second knockout win over Mariusz Pudzianowski last weekend has emboldened the strongman to take on new opponents despite huge weight differences.
Eddie Hall's weight difference raises questions about a competitive matchup
There would be a massive physical difference between the two fighters, as Eddie Hall is listed at around 334 pounds (151.5 kg) for his last fight, while Dillon Danis normally fights around 195 pounds (88.5 kg). Earlier this year, Dillon Danis was even scheduled to fight KSI (185 pounds) and Tony Ferguson (165 pounds) at lighter weights under a controversial jiu-jitsu specialist.
Dillon Danis had previously expressed curiosity about facing bigger opponents despite the size difference. In a February interview with Ariel Helwani, Dillon Danis referenced classic MMA matchups like Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira versus Bob Sapp, stating: "I always wanted to know what it would be like fighting someone that big and see if my jiu-jitsu would work."
Conflicting accounts and industry challenges plague potential bout
Both fighters presented previous fight negotiations in contradictory ways. Dillon Danis says discussions were '100 per cent legit', but were sanctioned issues, while Eddie Hall told reporters that Misfits Boxing told him the fight was unsanctioned before they even made him an offer.
Beyond sanctioning, the potential matchup has to overcome hurdles.
Bellator MMA
sources indicate that Dillon Danis is still under contract with the organisation even after not competing for it since 2019. However, Eddie Hall is looking into opportunities with several promotion companies following his recent win.
This developing feud between the two fighters will be something fans of the fight can follow updates on both fighters' social media accounts, as Eddie Hall is active on Instagram (@eddiehallwsm) and Dillon Danis is active across multiple platforms.

This unusual callout would be possible if regulatory hurdles could be cleared, with both fighters having their cancellations and looking for high-profile opportunities, but many fighting experts are sceptical of competitive fairness.

Pant had to be taken off the field on a golf cart after suffering the injury on Day 1. In a late night meeting that day, the BCCI medical team said the wicket-keeper would need six weeks of rest. But could he just bat for this Test with the help of pain-killers, they were asked. 'He could, if need be,' was the answer. As it turned out, Pant did travel to the stadium and he hobbled his way down the steps in full batting gear as well to continue his innings after Shardul Thakur was dismissed. He had retired hurt on 37 and he ended up scoring 54 in 75 balls. Pant was hailed for his efforts in the innings. India head coach Gautam Gambhir said after the match, which India drew against all odds, that the 'character and foundation of the team' will be built on what Pant did. 'Any amount of praise is not enough for him, especially batting with a broken foot,' said Gambhir. 'Not many people have done that in the past, and he had put his hand up and that is why I say it. Any amount of praise [is not enough]. I can sit here and talk about this for hours and hours. I think the generations to come forward will talk about this, and generations coming forward should talk about it that there is someone who's batted with a broken foot. 'It's unfortunate because of the kind of form he was in, but again, he's an important member of the Test side, and I hope he recovers quickly and comes back quickly, and try and deliver again for us,' Gambhir said.

Rishabh Pant vents out raw frustration on Instagram over fractured toe as India star struggles with injury-forced break

Rishabh Pant has been away from action since the fourth Test of India's recently concluded series against England, and is likely to stay away from action for a considerable period following a toe fracture during the game. As he continues to nurse the injury, Pant took to Instagram to vent his frustration at having his movement restricted due to the injury. India's Rishabh Pant at the end of the fourth Test match between India and England, at the Old Trafford (PTI) Posting the picture of his fractured toe on an Instagram story, Pant wrote, 'I hate this so much.' The injury occurred during India's Test series in England, which ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw. The incident that led to Pant's fractured toe happened in the fourth Test at Old Trafford. Attempting one of his trademark ramp shots against England's Chris Woakes, Pant misjudged the delivery and was struck on his foot, leaving him with a painful fracture. Remarkably, he returned later in the innings to contribute a valiant half-century, which earned him laurels from fans, teammates, opposition, and experts alike. His heroics with the bat came at a crucial juncture for India, too, with the match ending in a draw. This was not Pant's first display of grit during the series. In the third Test at Lord's, he had sustained a finger injury while keeping in the first innings, yet he came out to bat undeterred and smashed another impressive fifty. Unfortunately, the severity of the foot fracture forced Pant to miss the fifth and final Test at The Oval, a match India won by just six runs to level the series 2-2. While he was absent for the decider, his earlier efforts throughout the series left an indelible mark. A series to remember The series itself will be remembered as one of the most competitive and dramatic in recent years, with India demonstrating both depth and resilience across challenging English conditions. Shubman Gill, who led the Indian team for the first time in Test cricket, made his mark with an incredible 754 runs in five Tests, while KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja also scored 500+ runs in the series. Mohammed Siraj, meanwhile, led the bowling front with 23 wickets and produced a match-winning performance in the final Test, picking a five-wicket haul that sealed India's victory at The Oval.
