Hollyoaks tour cancelled ahead of huge anniversary over 'low ticket sales'

The upcoming Hollyoaks Live tour has been dropped by its promoters, who are said to have 'over-estimated' the appeal for the production, which is external to the TV show A huge tour for a major TV show has been dramatically axed due to low ticket sales. Hollyoaks Live, which is an external production from the Channel 4 soap opera, was expected to hit the road, giving fans an insight into the popular programme but bosses have been forced to pull the plug. ‌ But while a string of famous faces from the show had signed on the dotted line to meet with fans, the production, which was due to take place in October, will no longer be going ahead. ‌ Soap stars including Nick Pickard, Kieron Richardson, Jorgie Porter, Gary Lucy, and Ashley Taylor Dawson were set to meet fans who had splashed out a whopping £161 for meet and greet tickets, allowing them to ask burning questions about their favourite TV show. It comes after reports Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are set for new 'goldmine' offer - but could face issue. ‌ However, sources have claimed that bosses behind the production had "overestimated" the appeal for the show, which was due to take place in Manchester, Glasgow and London, had been left with no option but to cancel the entire tour. "The promoter massively over-estimated the appeal a live stage show would have to Hollyoaks' core audience," a source said. They went on to tell The Sun: "The ticket prices were incredibly high for a show that's popular with teenagers. ‌ "The decision was made to pull the tour rather than have a loss-making venture with empty theatres." But those who purchased tickets for the events will be offered refunds at their points of purchase. It's understood that the tour was organised by an external production team, with Hollyoaks and Channel 4 having very limited involvement in the planning. A spokesperson for the tour said in a statement: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the planned theatre events with Maple Tree Entertainment featuring Hollyoaks cast are not going to take place as planned. "We are sad to disappoint those who had purchased tickets but they will be refunded via the venues." However, it's a stark contrast for ITV soap, Coronation Street, which is going ahead with a live theatre tour. ‌ Long standing cast members from the Manhcester based soap opera will appear at theatres across the nation to discuss their time on the show, in a production which has been billed An Audience with Coronation Street. Fans will pay more than £30 with the promoters promising "behind-the-scenes secrets, share hilarious stories, and relive heart-warming moments from the iconic ITV show". Hosted by This Morning's resident soap expert, Sharon Marshall, the show promises to be filled with laughter, nostalgia, and "more than a few jaw-dropping surprises!" ‌ Each event will feature five Coronation Street stars live on stage, including a surprise Corrie legend. The line-up will vary at each venue, with fan-favourite cast members including Andrew Whyment (Kirk Sutherland), Jack P Shepherd (David Platt), Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor), and Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald), with more names to be announced soon. Additionally, former show legends will also appear on stage. The tour will start in September and includes dates in London, Sheffield, Manchester and Glasgow. Promoters say in the first half, the audience will be treated to an intimate and lively interview session with some of Corrie's most beloved cast members. Ever wondered what goes on between takes? Curious about those off-screen friendships and real-life dramas? This is your chance to hear all the gossip straight from the source. The second act will feature a Corrie legend who will appear on stage and talk about their time on the ITV show.

Their decision to take things up a gear comes amid the ongoing jibes from Nathan's MAFS ex Lacey which exploded at this year's National Reality TV Awards. A source told The Sun: "Things have been going really well for Abi and Nathan since they started dating earlier this year and so moving in together felt like a natural step. "They are already expecting to have some reaction from Nathan's ex Lacey and her constant jibes on social media but they don't care what she thinks. "Abi and Nathan know they are the real deal and can't wait to be living together under the same roof. "Having their own luxury pad together means they can block out all of the noise and get on with their lives." The couple look set to make the big move this weekend with plans to share updates on their new home across their social media channels. News of their big move comes after they had an awkward run-in with Nathan's MAFS ex Lacey at the NRTAs. Onlookers were left stunned when Lacey appeared to launch into a huge rant about Nathan in front of their co-stars in which she continually insisted she was "living in his head rent-free". One eyewitness told The Sun: "It was clear there was no love lost between them and even Lacey's co-stars were stunned as she went on a sweary rant about her ex." MAFS UK's Nathan reveals first date with Love Island star Abi Moores almost ended in disaster as they go public with romance The Sun previously told how Nathan and Abi were kept apart from Lacey inside the ceremony after being seated on different tables. As Nathan cosied up to his girlfriend, organisers were forced to separate him from Lacey by seating him on a different table. A source told The Sun: "Lacey and Nathan had to be kept away from each other at the National Reality TV Awards. "It was chaos as he was supposed to be on the MAFS table but she wouldn't have sat there if he was there. "He was all over his girlfriend Abi, so they had to be sat at a separate table." Nathan made Abi his girlfriend earlier this year with a lavish proposal as well as presenting her with a stunning ring - in a scene that would not look out of place for an official engagement. 5 Nathan made Abi his girlfriend earlier this year with a lavish proposal Credit: SMART PICTURES

Molly-Mae's parenting meltdowns 'spark concern' from Tommy Fury's family

Molly-Mae Hague was branded 'out of touch' for complaining about having no fun during the summer, with her in-laws said to be concerned about her parenting struggles Molly-Mae Hague 's public meltdowns over her struggles with parenting are "concerning" her partner Tommy Fury 's family, a source has claimed. The Love Island winners share two-year-old daughter Bambi, but her tantrums have tipped Molly-Mae, 26, over the edge. ‌ The Maebe business owner previously described herself as "selfish", admitting that as much as she wants Bambi to have a sibling, she worries she is "not cut out" for parenting. The influencer filmed herself having an emotional moment in her car last week after her daughter tested her patience. ‌ Luckily, Molly-Mae's older sister Zoe Rae was on-hand to give the social media star some space to compose herself, after her tot had a tantrum at a local petting zoo. Molly-Mae sobbed in the car as she took a few minutes to herself, sharing her candid glimpse into the realities of toddler-mum life. It comes after Katie Price worries fans with appearance in family photo after explaining weight loss. ‌ Molly-Mae was on the receiving end of criticism recently, after her claims that she'd not done anything fun all summer were met with backlash. The star has shared her trips to Dubai, Disneyland and Wimbledon, leading some followers to slam her as "out of touch." But her public displays of despair have reportedly caused tension with her partner Tommy's family, after the couple rekindled their relationship on New Year's Eve following a brief split. A source claimed his family are growing more and more concerned with her videos. Speaking to The Sun, an insider said: "Within the Travelling community, having a big family with lots of children is the norm. "Tommy's relatives have been hopeful that he and Molly will have more children after getting back on track. They care about her so much and are concerned, but also worried about how publicly she's venting about motherhood." The source claimed that the family have compared her sister-in-law Paris' resilient attitude to family life with Molly-Mae's. They added that the family finds Molly-Mae's open struggles with being a mum "surprising", as they have been offering support to the mother-of-one. The Mirror has contacted Molly-Mae and Tommy's reps for comment. ‌ Addressing the criticism she has received about her video, Molly was adamant that she would not stop showing the realities of motherhood. She was labelled as 'out of touch' and 'selfish' by fans for her previous vlog, while others slammed her parenting style with Bambi as 'too soft'. Speaking to her YouTube subscribers, Molly said through tears: "I'm trying so so hard to stay positive but, I feel like I need to keep my camera running all day so you can see like every single thing. Bambi is a huge problem, she screams and I can't even get like socks and shoes on. ‌ "I don't care who tells me I am out of touch with reality or all this stuff thats going on on TikTok at the minute, I don't care I'm not going to not talk about it. I feel like I don't want to talk about anything controversial anymore because in the last video I said some things I probably could have worded better and even with all the motherhood things I am talking about at the minute, it's just a lot." Molly-Mae said she found parenting a toddler to be "literally impossible" and asked fans whether she should be "finding it as hard as I do sometimes". She added: "I want to give Bambi a sibling, but the idea of this times by two, I don't know if I could ever do it. I don't know if I'm cut out for it."
