John Wick has found a new streaming home in the UK ahead of the release of Ballerina.
Starring Keanu Reeves in the titular role, the film sees former assassin John Wick come out of retirement to avenge the murder of the puppy that was gifted to him by his late wife.
The logline reads: "An ex-hitman comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that took everything from him."
Directed by Chad Stahelski, the 2014 film was added to Prime Video in the UK and Ireland yesterday along with its sequel John Wick: Chapter 2.
For those of you who want to watch the franchise in order, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum is available to stream on Netflix.

As of writing, John Wick: Chapter 4 isn't streaming anywhere in the UK but it is available to rent or buy from Prime Video and more.
This comes ahead of the release of the John Wick spin-off movie From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, which is set for release in cinemas on June 6.
The film was initially slated for release on 7 June 2024, but was pushed back in February 2024 after reshooting additional fight sequences.
Ballerina stars Ana de Armas as an assassin named Eve Macarro, who is trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma.

Previously speaking about the movie in an interview with Collider, de Armas promised fans that the spin-off will be "sexy" and "dangerous".
"I'm very proud of it. It's really exciting. It's dangerous, it's sexy, it's very John Wick," she said. "I think people are going to be surprised. I'm biased. Of course, I like the movie, but I think it's really cool. It's going to be amazing."
On the reshoots, she said: "All we did in those reshoots had to be there. We got amazing footage. It's really spectacular."
John Wick is available to stream now on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland.

Watchlist: What we're viewing in June

We're in summer movie season and there are plenty of options out there. An early release this month is "Ballerina," out June 6. Billed "From the World of John Wick" and set after the events of "Chapter 3: Parabellum," the film centers on Eve (Ana de Armas), a woman being trained by the Ruska Roma as an assassin. She plans to take revenge on those who killed her family and left her an orphan but her path of destruction draws the ire of bigger players. Not surprisingly — because it's revealed in the trailers — John Wick (Keanu Reeves) steps in to de-escalate, or possibly escalate, the situation. With another OG installment on the way, as well as an untitled prequel, a spinoff focused on blind assassin Caine and an animated series, it's clear interest is high in the franchise. I'm interested to see a woman leading one of these films and hope that bodes well for similar films in the future. For those looking for something a bit more lighthearted, consider the rom-com "Materialists," out June 13. Dakota Johnson stars as Lucy, a New York matchmaker who finds a "unicorn," aka a very wealthy and attractive bachelor, played by Pedro Pascal. His interest in her and budding romance is complicated by the return of her ex John (Chris Evans), a struggling actor whose love for her may not be enough to overcome her misgivings. The film is the latest from Celine Song, who made her directorial debut with the Oscar-nominated wistful romance "Past Lives," which she also wrote. The whole family can enjoy "How to Train Your Dragon," which is also out June 13. I was able to see an advanced screening of this live-animation remake of the 2010 animated film of the same name last month at CinemaCon. Mason Thames takes on the lead role of Hiccup, the awkward son of Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, reprising his role from the animated film). Despite being raised in a dragon-fighting community, he befriends Toothless, a mysterious Night Fury dragon. Their connection leads to discoveries about the true nature of the dragons, an insight that challenges the foundations of Viking society. Sometimes family-friendly films don't necessarily have as much appeal for adult viewers but this one was delightful. The sequel has already been green-lit. Finally, we're heading back into the kitchen with "The Bear," which returns for its fourth season June 25 on Hulu. This season was filmed back to back with the third, which aired last year. The cast has done a good job keeping quiet about any potential spoilers. We will be able to find out if Chicago Tribune's review was a rave or will spell ruin for the restaurant and chef de cuisine Carmy (Jeremy Allen White). It's likely that it will be overall good, convincing sous chef Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) to pass on the other job she seemed interested in taking in the season three finale. It will also be a high-profile summer for Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who, along with playing firecracker manager Richie, will also star in "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" as Ben Grimm, aka The Thing.

Ana de Armas Is Armed and Dangerous in Exclusive BALLERINA Images

One of the most-anticipated movies of this summer is From the World of John Wick: Ballerina. (Of course, we like to call it simply Ballerina.) The film will bring Ana de Armas' Eva Macarro to the forefront as a ballerina-assassin on a revenge-fueled mission. This world full of secrets and deadly drama is ripe for more exploration, and we will see the Ballerina and the Baba Yaga duke it out on the big screen. But, pretty much every action sequence in this film looks like it will bring the intensity, skill, and intricate choreography that we love to see in the John Wick universe. We love to see Ana de Armas in hand-to-hand combat but we love these exclusive images of her bearing arms in Ballerina even more. Click To View Gallery We get to see Eva be ever the clever assassin, whether she's using an ice skate to slice a man's throat or sharpening her shooting skills at a range. You gotta use your resources when you're life is on the line, right? She's wielding big guns as she traverses through fire and is going into some dangerous, dark, and murky situation. These Ballerina images make us even more hype to see the dancer/assassin in action this summer. Ana de Armas moves like art and it is beautiful to watch Eve and her weapons in action. How do these scenes tie into Eva's overall story? You will have to go and see what happens when From the World of John Wick: Ballerina hits theaters on June 6.

Ana De Armas Says European Audiences Differ From American Because ‘They Know About Cinema and They Have Good Taste'

Ana de Armas knows the difference between European and American moviegoers – 'good taste.' During her 'Hot Ones' interview Thursday, host Sean Evans asked the 'Ballerina' star if she noticed a difference between 'what somebody who buys a movie ticket in Madrid is looking for vs. someone in L.A.' The actress said that American cinema has a greater influence in Europe than European cinema does here, but that with European moviegoers, it comes down to taste. 'The influence of American cinema in Europe is stronger I would say,' de Armas began. 'Europeans like European films I would say. I think Europeans also – or Spanish people – have a pretty wide spectrum of, they know about cinema, and they have good taste.' De Armas appeared on the show to promote her upcoming film 'Ballerina,' an action-forward spinoff set in the 'John Wick' universe. The story takes place concurrent to the events of 'John Wick Chapter 3 – Parabellum.' The trailer teased that Keanu Reeves, who has played the titular John Wick in four films, will also appear in the feature. According to the official synopsis, the story follows Eve Macarro (de Armas), 'a ballerina-turned-assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma, as she seeks revenge for her father's death. ' 'Ballerina' also stars Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus and Ian McShane. It is directed by Len Wiseman and produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Chad Stahelski. The film also posthumously features Lance Reddick in his last screen role. The actor died in 2023 at age 60. 'Ballerina' releases in theaters June 6.
