Hollyoaks live tour AXED over low ticket sales ahead of 30th anniversary
HOLLYOAKS live tour has been sensationally axed - after low ticket sales. The three-date tour - which was not organised by the soap itself - offered fans the chance to meet stars from the show at dates in Manchester, Glasgow and London this October. 2 Nick Pickard was set to appear with other cast on the tour Credit: Getty Images - Getty 2 Jorgie Porter had also been signed up for the three dates in October Credit: PA Actors However The Sun can exclusively reveal that the October shows have been pulled after ticket sales failed to impress. Tickets were being offered for as much as £161 for a meet and greet ticket with the cast. A source said: 'The promoter massively over-estimated the appeal a live stage show would have to Hollyoaks' core audience. Read more on Hollyoaks 'The ticket prices were incredibly high for a show that's popular with teenagers . 'The decision was made to pull the tour rather than have a loss-making venture with empty theatres.' Fans who purchased tickets will be contacted soon with the news and be offered refunds at the point of purchase. The Sun understands the shows were not organised by Hollyoaks' production company or Channel 4 and both companies had limited involvement.
