Why Princess Beatrice Was Missing from Palace Garden Party After Public Outing with Sister Princess Eugenie
Royal sisters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie had a day out at the Chelsea Flower Show on May 19, but parted ways after
Princess Eugenie, 35, went to the Buckingham Palace garden party on May 20, while Princess Beatrice, 36, traveled to New York for the Matrix Awards
Sarah Ferguson previously told PEOPLE that she and her daughters call themselves "the Tripod" in a nod to their close bondPrincess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are a tight team, but one royal sister was missing from the latest Buckingham Palace garden party.
On May 20, Princess Eugenie, 35, made her garden party debut of the season, joining her cousin Prince William, Kate Middleton and more royals at the fête. The celebration fell on the day after Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, 36, attended the Chelsea Flower Show in London. The event was a spring staple on the late Queen Elizabeth throughout her record reign and an event King Charles endorses today as Patron of The Royal Horticultural Society, which hosts the show.
The King and Queen Camilla also attended the Chelsea Flower Show on Monday (where they met up with David Beckham), and Eugenie recapped the fun she and Beatrice had together there in a post on Instagram.
"Such a lovely afternoon visiting the @the_rhs Chelsea Flower Show, especially when I get to do it with my sis!" she wrote below a carousel that opened with a shot of her and Beatrice walking with arms wrapped around one another's backs.
"It was fantastic to catch up with @horatiosgarden again and to see their beautiful display as well as visit some of the gardens on show including the @dsscotland Garden, the @hospice_uk Garden for Compassion, the Avanade Intelligent Garden and the Cha No Niwa Japanese Tea Garden (who has won garden of the year)," she continued, shouting the Horatio's Garden charity she supports as patron and recently visited.
The montage rolled to show snaps of Eugenie at the Chelsea Flower Show and another shot of her walking with her sister. The royal sisters share such a close bond that their mother, Sarah Ferguson, previously told PEOPLE that she and her daughters call themselves "the Tripod."
On Tuesday, the princesses split ways. While Eugenie went on to attend the garden party (which have been a tradition since the 1860s as a way for the royals to meet outstanding citizens and people from all walks of life), Beatrice traveled to New York City to attend the 55th annual Matrix Awards organized by New York Women in Communications, the largest organization of professional women in communications in N.Y.C
There, Princess Beatrice presented honoree Spotify Chief Public Affairs Officer Dustee Jenksins with her award and voiced her pride in her friend's accomplishments.
"Her work touches millions through policy, through storytelling, and through a deep connection to responsibility," Princess Beatrice said on stage. "When speaking to a friend like Dusty, you are overcome with the joy and the energy that she brings, and I am so honored to be standing here amongst so many incredible women, and I'm so grateful that my wonderful friend is receiving this award because she really deserves it, because she really is the light."

An event bio described Beatrice as a "champion of women in leadership" and noted her roles as the founder of By-Eq limited, an advisory group working to enhance emotional intelligence "in an age" of artificial intelligence, plus her leadership with Afiniti Technologies, Scale AI and Liontree Asset Management.
Like her sister Eugenie, Beatrice juggles her professional responsibilities with philanthropic commitments and motherhood to young children. She and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, share daughters Sienna, 3, and Athena, who was born premature in January, and his son Christopher Woolf, 9, from a previous relationship.
In March, Princess Beatrice opened up in a rare essay for British Vogue about the "sheer worry" around Athena's birth and how she learned "so much," with her baby "now doing really well."

Huge blow as Chelsea star ruled out of Euro 2025
Chelsea defender Millie Bright has ruled herself out of England's Euro 2025 squad for this summer's tournament. Bright's decision comes ahead of Sarina Wiegman's squad announcement, with the 31-year-old admitting she is not 'able to give 100%' physically or mentally' to the Lionesses. England begin their Euro 2025 campaign against France on July 5th. 'This is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make, but after careful thought and discussions with my team, I have decided to withdraw from selection for the England squad ahead of Euro 2025,' Bright said in an Instagram post. Advertisement 'Football has given me so much, and representing my country has always been my greatest honour. My pride and ego tells me to go but I think the team and the fans deserve more. Right now, I'm not able to give 100 per cent mentally or physically.' Bright's announcement follows the decisions of Mary Earps and Fran Kirby to retire from international duty. Earps has called time on her career with the Lionesses after being replaced as number one goalkeeper. Wiegman's squad will now be absent of several leaders from the squad's that won the European Championship in 2022 and reached the World Cup final in 2023. Bright captained the side at that latter tournament in the absence of injured Arsenal star Leah Williamson. The former has won 88 caps for the national team. The actress Vanessa Hudgens sent a message to Cole Tucker, a former baseball player, after spotting him in a virtual meditation session led by Jay Shetty. Dakota Johnson & Chris Martin Reportedly Breakup After 8-Year On-off Relationship
Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin are back in the spotlight following reports of their latest breakup. Multiple sources have confirmed that the longtime couple, who began dating in 2017 and were reportedly engaged for years, have ended their relationship once again. The news comes just weeks after their last public appearance together in Malibu. Here's what sources revealed about the split, the couple's relationship timeline, and where things stand now. Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have ended their relationship, sources confirmed to People. The pair had been in an on-off relationship since 2017 and were reportedly engaged for several years. A source told the outlet, 'It feels final this time,' suggesting a definitive end to their nearly eight-year partnership. The couple was last seen publicly on May 16, 2025, in Malibu. They were also photographed holding hands in India in January during Martin's Coldplay tour. Speculation about their engagement first arose in 2020, but it wasn't until March 2024 that a source confirmed they had been engaged 'for years.' At the time, they were reportedly 'in no rush to get married.' In August 2024, breakup rumors surfaced but were dismissed by Johnson's rep, who said the two were 'happily together.' Johnson and Martin maintained a low-profile relationship. In June 2024, a source said they had experienced 'ups and downs, but now they're definitely back on.' Johnson has also publicly expressed affection for Martin's children with Gwyneth Paltrow, saying, 'I love those kids like my life depends on it,' referring to Apple, 21, and Moses, 19. She previously spoke about Martin's performances, telling Bustle, 'I love watching him. I could watch him every day… I'm watching my most favorite being do his most favorite thing.' Johnson attended a promotional event in New York on May 29, 2025, following her split, appearing solo just weeks before the release of Materialists, her upcoming film with Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal.
