DEADLINE: This is the third and final season of the show. How did it feel saying bye to your characters?
GAVIN CASALEGNO: Oh, man… it was more bitter than it was sweet. Getting to grow with these characters for the last couple of years has been so much fun. Especially seeing how well received all of our characters are to people has been really cool. And, getting to bring life to the books. I think we're all really excited, and it was really sweet.
CHRISTOPHER BRINEY: Always bittersweet, because there's excitement in moving forward and having time to do other things. But filming our show, we were there for six months, and it moves so quick. You never know the last day that you'll be shooting in this location or with this actor.
LOLA TUNG: I remember when we were filming the first season, I was like 'Wow, this is gonna come out in a year, it feels so far away and I hope we get a second season.' It's crazy how fast time has gone by.

DEADLINE: Taylor Swift's music plays a really big part in the show. What is the significance of her music in the storytelling? And what was your favorite Taylor Swift needle drop?
TUNG: She's an incredible storyteller, just like Jenny. So it felt very fitting. I think for Jenny, she has a personal connection. When she was writing a lot of the books, she was listening to some of this music, like The Way I Loved You. So, for her, she's had these in mind for so long. Obviously, not all of these albums were out yet, but it helped her shape the world.
There are so many incredible needle drops. From the first two seasons, The Way I Loved You is a classic. I have to say, though, the trailer songs like the teaser that just came out as well. I remember when Jenny told me what she was doing with that, from Daylight into Red, and I was like, 'Oh My God, nobody's ever gonna expect this.' It's so genius, and it's so perfect.
BRINEY: Very thoroughly planned and thought out. It's part of the vision.
CASALEGNO: I think Jenny does a great job at finding the perfect music for the world. Like with all of Taylor's music, I think she really does a deep dive into what's going to fit the world and the feel of all these things. We don't even know all the songs that are going to be in the next season.

DEADLINE: The transition from to is so fitting for both of their characters. What can fans expect from the finale of ?
BRINEY: Drama!
TUNG: Epic-ness. I think some really interesting character growth.
CASALEGNO: Plot twists.
TUNG: Excitement, good storytelling.
DEADLINE: Lola, Jenny said that she wanted Belly to stand on her own power and be the driver of her own story. How do you feel like she's evolved into that version of herself?
TUNG: She's been through a lot these past couple seasons. She's experienced grief, love, and changes in every one of her relationships, with the boys, with her brother, with her best friend, and with her mom. She's been through a lot of change, and now, especially leading up to Season 3, there's a huge time jump and people don't get to see what happens in those years. As an actor, you craft what you think happens, what you think changed, and where this character is now. It was really cool to do that, especially because I am playing my own age now. We had a year off because of the strike, so we had time to grow on our own and separate from the characters, and then come back to bring everything that we had learned on our own to the characters.
I love seeing that with Belly. I think this season, the world expands a little more. You see her with the boys obviously, but there are so many really important relationships, and the first one being the one with herself. We really get to see that blossom this year. She has a new understanding of who she is and what she wants in life, which as an actor, is just awesome.

DEADLINE: There have been discussions about spinoffs for the show. Would you want to be involved if there was a spinoff?
BRINEY: I would want to see the college years of Susannah, Laurel, Adam and Colin. But I want it to be like a sitcom with no audience and no laugh track. There's just silences. They pause for laughs that aren't there. I think it works.
TUNG: They all play themselves playing college kids.
CASALEGNO: That would be a spinoff for sure.

Psychological Insight The public reaction to the couple's relationship also caught the attention of Nari Jeter, a licensed marriage and family therapist who specializes in couples and is the co-host of The Coupled Podcast. Jeter spoke to Newsweek about the podcast and Perel's interpretation, offering a deeper explanation of compersion and how it plays out in the megastar's relationship. "Compersion is a feeling of joy, happiness and celebration at the happiness of one's partner," she explained. "It is often contrasted with jealousy, but I actually think that's an inaccurate comparison. I think the opposite of compersion is gloating and/or celebrating in a partner's misfortunes or unhappiness." Jeter said she believes that both Travis and Jason Kelce were able to exhibit their joy for Swift without jealousy because of their own professional success. "They have probably learned to wrestle with these feelings and have found that their peace, joy and success come from focusing on themselves, but also learning to celebrate others," she added. The Importance of Individuality According to Jeter, the ability to feel compersion is a sign of a healthy relationship. "I think couples need to really learn to celebrate their own individualities within their relationship," she said, noting that sometimes couples have a tendency to "blend or fuse, and lose ourselves." She believes that once partners can embrace their own individuality within a relationship, it creates safety and freedom to explore what brings each of them joy. This prevents a partner from "feeling threatened by their other partner's success and accolades and see them separate from their own self-esteem," she said. "Jealousy is really only negative when it 'rears its ugly head,' meaning, you show your jealousy by putting down or minimizing your partner. But internally felt jealousy is part of being human—and isn't a reflection of how you love and care for your partner." Ultimately, Perel and Jeter's analysis suggests that the affection displayed between Swift and Kelce on the podcast is not just a cute celebrity romance, but an example of a healthy partnership built on mutual respect and admiration. ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty' Season 3, Episode 7 Recap—Conrad Confesses His Feelings
Spoilers ahead for The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, Episode 7. Conrad's emotions toward Belly have reached a boiling point. In the latest episode, now streaming on Prime Video, the elder Fisher brother finally confessed that he still loves her after learning about his brother's infidelity. Here's a full recap of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, Episode 7, including the significance behind the final scene. Episode 7 picks up three days before Belly and Jeremiah's wedding. Belly has convinced herself that her almost-kiss with Conrad after his surfing accident had nothing to do with him. Instead, she says in her narration, it happened because of the enormity of the wedding and the fact that she's been planning everything on her own without Jere there. At the office, Steven and Denise are flirting after she presented him with a business proposal in the previous episode. With Denise now invited to Belly and Jere's wedding this weekend, they could act on their growing feelings toward one another. But Taylor's presence raises questions about how she'll react to seeing them together. Jere finally arrives in Cousins ahead of the wedding, bearing gifts: college-themed items for the gift bags, such as beer koozies, Takis Fuego, Smirnoff Ice and some weed. Conrad comes outside to help when Jere shares the itinerary for the bachelor party tonight. They're going to hit some bars in town. Meanwhile, Belly's parents arrive in Cousins for the festivities. After meeting with Conrad last episode, Belly's Mom has had a change of heart and will be present at the ceremony after all. The girls and boys rehearse their reception dances. Afterwards, Jeremiah tells Conrad that working at his internship isn't that bad. Their dad actually offered him a full-time spot at the firm in the fall. Conrad tells his brother that he wants him to do something that he loves with his life. Before they head out, Jere and Belly made a plan to meet up at the end of their bach nights at the beach for some quality time together. What Happens At The Bachelor And Bachelorette Party? Belly, Anika and Taylor go to their first bar, where they take shots of tequila for all the people they've slept with. (Belly has to borrow from the girls, because she's only been with Conrad and Jeremiah.) The guys have also started their night of drinking, and Steven shares his plan with Conrad to make a move on Denise tonight. Belly thanks Taylor for helping convince her mom to come to the bridal shower, but Taylor says that wasn't her doing. Belly then has a flashback of Conrad from their childhood at the mall. Young Belly had asked if she could explore by herself, and Conrad reluctantly agreed, telling her to meet back in one hour. After getting distracted at the glassblower's shop, she finally reunited with Conrad, who was visibly upset and demanding to know where she'd been. Her voiceover reveals that for her birthday that year, he gave her one of the glass-blown unicorn figurines she had been admiring at the store. When the boys pass by Belly outside the candy shop, Belly pulls Conrad aside to ask if he was the one who convinced her mom to go to her bridal shower. He admits that he did because it was important to her. "It's your wedding day, and you should have everything that you've ever pictured," he says to her. Taylor poaches Denise from the bachelor party and promises to take good care of her. Belly tells Taylor that she's starting to get in her head about all the wedding stuff and asks for one of those cannabis gummies. At the bar, Jeremiah tells Conrad that he's so happy he's here, and that he appreciates him taking care of him his whole life. But now, he doesn't have to worry, because he and Belly can take care of themselves. "She's my family," Jeremiah says, while Conrad says he's happy for them both. Denise is hesitant to answer and says she doesn't like him like that because they're too similar, plus she says that he would never see her like that. While Belly's dancing — and clearly super high — she can't get Conrad out of her head. She replays moments from the peach orchard, as well as helping him after the surfing accident and other meaningful moments from their time together over the years, from childhood to the present. She runs to the bathroom where Taylor is and starts to hyperventilate. She says everything's moving too fast, and this isn't her dream wedding. "I only ever pictured Conrad," she says, before telling Taylor that she saw him at Christmas and lied to Jere about it. Belly dismisses her feelings, attributing them to being high, and decides she just needs water. They agree to head back to the house. How Does Conrad Find Out That Jeremiah Cheated? The guys continue drinking. Conrad goes to the bathroom after Jeremiah accidentally spills a drink on him. When he returns, he overhears the boys teasing Jeremiah about Lacie — the girl he cheated on Belly with during Spring Break in Cabo. Conrad tries to confront Jeremiah, but he's vomiting in the toilet, so he walks away. Back at the house, the boys return home. Taylor reminds Jeremiah that Belly's waiting for him at the beach, but Jeremiah's very drunk, so his boys bring him upstairs instead. When Belly goes to the beach, she thinks she sees Jeremiah, but it's actually Conrad. Conrad asks Belly to come sit with him for a minute. When she says she has to go back to the house, he says he has to tell her something. "Jere cheated on you while he was in Cabo." She responds that she "already knew about that." He asks how she can still be marrying him when all that happened only a few months ago. "He made a mistake and he hates himself for it," Belly replies, adding that she forgave him. What Happens Between Conrad and Belly On The Beach? When Belly says this all isn't his business, Conrad doubles down and says that it is. He runs after her and asks why she has to get married — why can't they just move in together? She urges him to stop chasing her, and that's when he drops the love bomb. "I still love you," Conrad reveals. "I don't think I'll ever get you out of my system." Belly tries to tell him that he's only saying all of this because she's marrying his brother. But he assures Belly that it's always been her. Belly responds that it's too late, but he's not finished talking. He brings up four years ago in the motel, when he told her he still wanted her. He said he couldn't sleep that night. He knew that if he kept her with him, he would hurt her, so he couldn't have that. Then he saw how happy Belly and Jere were together, so he tried to let her go. But being around her this summer brought back all his emotions. "I see you again, and then all my plans go to sh*t," he admits, saying he hates himself for doing this. "Don't be with him," he pleads. "Don't marry him… be with me." That's when Belly drops some pretty harsh words. "You will never be what Jere is to me… He's my best friend, and he loves me no matter what." She then tells Conrad that they "were never anything." She walks away before collapsing on the sand, sobbing. She returns to the house where she sees Jeremiah passed out in his bed. She gets into bed with Taylor and cries quietly to herself, not wanting to talk about it with her MOH. Conrad is still awake and on the dock, processing everything that he just said to Belly. All of her albums — both re-recorded sets and original projects — have exploded in popularity as the singer-songwriter prepares the world for a new era. Recently, Swift revealed that her upcoming twelfth full-length, The Life of a Showgirl, is expected to drop on October 3. Lover, Reputation and Midnights Return Three Swift titles reappear on the Top Streaming Albums chart this week. That kind of uptick underscores that there's been a dramatic return to consuming her past full-lengths among a huge population of people in the United States. Two of her three comebacks find their way into the top 40. Lover reenters the Top Streaming Albums tally at No. 36, while Reputation is back at No. 40. Midnights comes in just a few spaces beneath that important region, as it sneaks back onto the list of the most-streamed full-lengths and EPs in the country at No. 43. A Trio of Top 10s All three of Swift's returning favorites have already spent months on the Top Streaming Albums chart, and each one of them has cracked the top 10 as well. Lover only barely made it to that region, as its peak remains No. 10. Taylor Swift Owns 10% of the Chart Swift fills five spots on the Top Streaming Albums chart this week. The tally only includes 50 spaces, so the singer-songwriter claims 10% of all runs for herself at the moment. In addition to Lover, Reputation, and Midnights, The Tortured Poets Department almost finds its way back to the top 10 this week. Swift's most recent full-length rockets 10 spaces north from No. 23 to No. 13. Folklore, which recently enjoyed a huge boost thanks largely to the song 'August,' also lives on the roster. Folklore dips 10 spots, falling from No. 21 to No. 31. Nine Billboard 200 Wins All five of Swift's top streamers also live on the Billboard 200, the roster that looks at the most consumed efforts in the country. On that ranking, Swift sees nine different titles appear somewhere on the lengthy list, and almost all of them gain ground from where they sat just a few days ago.
